“Nighthawks is one of my favorite places to eat in Troy! The menu is fascinating and filled with bangers, and the staff is super friendly. I’ve had some of my all-time favorite dishes eating here.As a note—the attached photos (save for the one with the cod and greens, which I had last night and it was amazing) aren’t just from recent menus. I’ve been here a bunch of times and wanted to highlight some of my favorite meals there! By the way, get the opera cake for dessert.“

For our cocktail hour Brad put together an appetizer station with everything imaginable..meats, veggies, fruits, cheeses, etc…it was immense and the presentation was beautiful…it was a meal in itself. I highly recommend them ….don’t bother looking anywhere else. I am so glad we found them.Linda Mitchell“

So, just ask for the dressing on side. And then it would be perfect again. Very pleased that this spot is so close to my new home and that it has vegetarian options.Oh. The apple ginger tea is great.Vegetarian options: I got the garden salad sandwich which was very good. Tomatoe soup is also good.“

“We have brunch at the city beer hall, pretty much every week. I am famous for having the same meal every time. The steak and eggs. The steak is always cooked perfectly medium rare. The eggs are sunny side up and delicious. Home fries and a side salad round out the perfect breakfast. My partner also always orders the same meal. Fried chicken with macaroni and cheese. When we go for dinner If you are a French onion soup fan I have a huge suggestion. The French onion soup is what I call a "destination dish " It is a delicious change from the norm. The service is always fast and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable. We have been customers here since the first week and will continue to be. The bar area, the dining room with its communal tables, the patio in the summer time. This has been our go to place for the past 13 years. Keep up the great work, the food, the hospitality, the overall experience is what a beer hall should be.“

“Mouth-watering and thoughtful menu with creative, nuanced and seasonal inspirations for both food and beverage options. I was very impressed by the shishito peppers, general tso’s chicken bites, french dip and the espresso martini. The apps were perfectly battered, crispy and flavorful. The French dip just hit so right- tender meat, savory au jus, warm, perfectly toasted bread. The fries were perfect- exactly what you’d imagine if you are craving fries! And the highlight of our entire night was our bartender Halsey. Her genuine care in curating our experience cannot be matched. She made great suggestions, interjected with playful humor, read when our group wanted time to chat amongst ourselves, and made a PHENOMENAL cocktail. I mean, the most serious espresso martini anyone could hope for without the overstated hipster flair. 10/10. Would go back just for her. Watching her interact with her other bar guests was also a treat- it’s easy to see how she can command the room & keeps a mighty fine bar! Will certainly be back!“

Our waitress was one of the best waitresses that I've had in my life! She was attentive to my children and myself. She laughed with us and gave us her recommendations. The ambiance is cute it has a boat vibe. The challah French toast was good as well as the classic breakfast but the turkey bacon is nasty for sure, I'm not sure what brand they use but they need not to use it any longer.“

“We just had a private party for 40 here and they really exceeded expectations across the board. The food was fantastic and interesting for a buffet line, the service from the coordinator/server and bartender was really excellent, the beer selection was world class, and it was a cool interesting old building. For food we had chicken parm (really good), a great braised (?) pork dish, a large salad that was artfully presented, and the green beans and asparagus were perfectfully lightly charred, everyone was commenting on them. Only downsides were the unexpected step down into the bar, & chairs up on tables in the unused front bar. They are really well organized for private parties with extensive menus and prices posted online. Very impressed“

“My boyfriend treated me to Yono's for Valentine's Day, and Yono's was probably one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had! We had their special Valentine's menu, which offered a 6-course tasting menu, and we decided to go with the wine pairings, which was an excellent choice. It was my first time experiencing the beauty of wine pairings, and I was amazed at how elegantly the wine enhanced each course - their selections of wines were *chefs kiss* The complexity, flavor, and intricacy of each dish were phenomenal. The 6-course meal featured chilled creek oysters, butter poached scallops, root vegetable potage, foie gras, filet mignon, and dark chocolate gateau--each dish was a masterpiece and so beautifully presented. My personal favorite was the foie gras. While Yono's is definitely on the pricey side, it's perfect for your fancy shmancy occasions. I'm looking forward to returning to explore their regular menu! “All together, everything turned out to be pretty mediocre.Tried to order online but the preferred service wouldn't allow me to check out, something to do with the menu prices being incorrect. So I called in the order, which at first they stated they don't do, but after my explanation their online system was borked they relented and took it.Went with the onion rings and the waffles and chicken, and came to around $31 before tip. Had put in my pickup for 4:00PM but when I arrived at 4:05PM the order still wasn't ready. In fact I ended up sitting at the bar area until 4:20PM, a rather significant delay for the order I placed at noon time.Got home and dug in, immediately being disappointed in the onion rings for their size. They're the shoestring variety, which is great for on sandwiches and salads, but as an appetizer or finger food they are kind of annoying to consume. The rings are just far too small to properly enjoy. That said, the dip that came with them paired perfectly. Then there was the chicken of the chicken and waffles which was beyond salty, I think the chef might have accidentally poured a tad to much salt into the buttermilk breading. Could almost feel my blood pressure going up. The waffles were alright though, the spicy honey butter they were topped with had soaked into the waffles and made them soft and sweet. Though not spicy at all.Overall it was an alright way to end the week, probably could have been better, but I'm satisfied.“
