“Came in for an open jam session, first time here. Haven’t been here in years. This place has changed so much for the better! Comfortable, almost homey vibe. Great fresh tasting food, and drinks. Amazing service as well. We were always checked on by staff. They have a cocktail menu too. Just wish they had a larger variety of wine, but spoke with maybe the manager/owner and he said he will be adding that as he is finishing renovations. Will definitely be back!“

“The aroma of beef and bacon was so amazing walking down Main street, we had to pop in for a quick bite while running some errands. So glad we did. The staff was helpful and attentive. The cocktail menu was clever as well as festive. The menu has all the right snacks and hand helds for one or a group. The events board has something posted for every day of the week. We had the Drunk Chicken Sammy with sweet potato tots and the We're Jammin Burger with battered fries. The vodka sauce with burrata elevated the chicken to the next level. Fig jam and candied bacon on the burger was on point. I will definitely partake in snacks the next time we are there for HH.“

“Although they have food, I've yet to try it, as we usually only stop by on the way home for one last drink and/or coffee after BBQing on the beach. The service is always very personable, and my boyfriend absolutely loves this place; he talked about the Gilgo Inn all throughout the off-season when we first met before I finally got the chance to visit with him.They're cash only, but they have an ATM ($3 service fee). All the seating is outside, but there's a TV inside as well as framed photos of how the place used to look, including some shots of it submerged in water following a storm some years back.The coffee is good, and the drinks are alright and won't break the bank. I think the cocktails were around $10 apiece. There are proper bathrooms across the parking lot, too.“

“Farrells, West islip03/13/24Found myself meeting someone at Farrells, in West Islip, this evening..They called and canceled while I was waiting for them to show up, so I ate alone ?‍♂️I ordered the burger my usual medium rare, with cheddar, the bun toasted, and fries extra crispy..Holy Moly, was I surprised about how good this burger is.My surprise came from me never hearing from anyone that Farrells had a good burger!!! I think Gerry Ryan let me down on this one.??And, I asked for an Old Fashioned, and was told " "they dont make them"?Irish bar, so I'll cut them some slack?☘ Fair enough, I had a Harp, which I thoroughly enjoyed, cold, crisp, and freshThe burger came to me a near perfect medium rare. Kudos to the Chef!The taste of the meat hit all my tastebud cylinders.Salty, earthy, unctuous tastes, were all there.I'm not sure what Brand Angus they use, but it's a definite winner, in my mind.You could tell they "hand press" this hamburger, in house; just from seeing, and tasting the loose structure of the meat as it sat in the bun.Not Top 5, but definitely a "Top 10" on my Burger scale? “My wife and I had a late lunch here yesterday; Kay was our delightful server, and she was friendly and attentive.The gumbo was maybe the best I’ve ever had outside of New Orleans! Excellent roux! The wings in habanero sauce tasted fresh and not fried. My wife’s shrimp roll was excellent.We found our new happy place.The ONLY comment is that the space was a bit “dark” during the afternoon. Our eyes had to adjust to the outside, but better low light than bright light.The team behind Coastal and Verde have done it again!!! Bravo!!“

“Bayview tavern is truly tucked away in Seaford. It's a pretty unassuming spot but pretty good. Our server Carol was very nice and had a welcoming energy as people came into the place for lunch. Now this place didn't blow me away but also was pretty good for a very casual lunch. They have specials almost every weekday that run I believe all day in addition to happy hour special which are 3-6. My dad got the $5burger. It's a plain burger and additions are an up charge, even cheese which I feel like could maybe just come on it. The burger was a little bland but cooked very well and the bun was nice and fluffy. We got the chopped baked clams. Those were good. They were kinda cheesy which I've ever experienced. I liked those. I got the clam chowder and it was actually very good. It was kind of a mix between a New England and a Rhode Island. It wasn't quite a clear broth but not super creamy like the New England. It had a ton of clams. The oyster crackers they gave me were incredibly stale but could've been an oversight. Not somewhere I would go running back but maybe for their HH or something.“

“New to the area and stopped in for the first time yesterday. This place is fantastic. Friendly people, great drinks and pint. Nice short bar menu including the wings that were tremendous. Folks were waiting in anticipation for lunch specials and rightly so. All fresh and well prepared. Prime rib sandwich was great. Cash only, old school small Irish pub, GREAT bar food. Top notch place.“

“While I was with my son and his wife, we decided to eat here, the service was good and the burgers were also good, my mom ordered an Argentinian steak (skirt) medium rare and it was overcooked plus the dish came out cold. The staff was very nice about it ,but now I know that the next time we come here, maybe we'll just stick to bar food. But overall it was a good time and we will return“
