“Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! If you would like your vegetables to preserve maximum nutritional value, I would recommend requesting them to be a little hard. And definitely not mushy.“

“Without question the best Chinese food in Westchester County. Everything is fresh and delicious. O'Mandarin used to be my go to until Szechuan City opened...a much better value I might add. My favorite dish is the pork with hot pepper. The sautéd pea shoots are also incredible. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.“

“Been coming here since I was a kid and it's been my favorite place for Chinese food all these years. The quality of the food is fantastic and I think it's gotten better over time! Their sesame chicken was my favorite as a kid and since I became a pescatarian, their sesame tofu has become my favorite! They always managed to make their chicken so crisp and they do the same with their tofu! And the sesame sauce is my favorite I've had. “I had to deduct one star because my favorite Layl Shishi item is no longer on the menu. The VIP Cholent Plate (aka the Heimishe Sombrero) was truly a dish worthy of the VIP mantle. Cholent (bean or barley), potato kugel, kiskha, jachnun, eggs, Gedempte Fleish and two slices of garlic toast. Truly a way to end the workweek and rocket towards Shabbos.The poppers are still a strong contender tho - so I'll typically get those for my forschpeiz and get a sombrero elsewhere. Solid eating.“

But this is the best Chinese take out spot I've been to in Rockland. 5/5 stars with out a doubt.They are extremely busy during lunch time which is when I usually order and Its for good reasons, their menu is delicious and lots of people order from here. Every time I'm there pocking up my order, i always see people inside either ordering or picking up their orders. This is how you know the food is on point and they always make it fresh.Next door you got burger king and Wendy's which do not compare. Dynasty king has decent and fair prices and quality of their food is top notch. It's also a family owned business which I love to support opposed to franchise corporate unhealthy fast foods.The girls working there are polite and kind and the whole family as well. If you are debating to order take out from another town, consider driving extra 10-15 min and try this one. You wont regret it ?“

“My favorite place for Chinese food. I have been going here since I can remember as a little girl. I moved farther north and this is the only place I will order Chinese food from, I drive 30ish mins to pick up. My favorite rice is shrimp fried rice and vegetable fried. The shrimp egg rolls are delicious, too. I love the shrimp and broccoli and the sesame chicken.“

“Pretty darn good. We have been finding it hard to find really crave-able chinese takeout in the Burbs. We have gone so far as making our own wonton soup with homemade wontons. No more! We ordered wonton soup, crab rangoon, and cashew chicken combo. The wonton soup was D-LICIOUS!! Their wontons have nice, thick wrappers and are filled nicely. I believe they hand make the wrappers, which is a great added bonus to the quality. I'm not a big crab rangoon lover, but my husband is. He raved about them. The dipping sauce was definitely on par. The cashew chicken was good. It lacked the crave-ability I really was looking for, but it was good. Egg roll was great. Pork fried rice was a little lackluster. I highly recommend adding it to your eating spots! I'm excited to try some of the other entrees.“

“I always order from your establishment. The food is delicious. However, tonight I ordered through beyond menu and placed and order to be delivered at 7pm. I called the restaurant around 730pm.. The woman that was there answered the phone and apologized saying” She never saw the order and the food will be made right away. I wound up showing up to pick up the food. The woman at the front counter was the same woman that answered the phone. She was beyond disgusting and rude to another customer. Telling this customer she didn’t pay and her card had to be charged. Then she starts talking to me and I showed her that I paid. She told me “I wasn’t talking to you.” I responded with “There is no reason for you to be nasty!” She responded with “ We are very busy.” Then a tall man proceeded to hand me the food I ordered. She said something me and once again I turned around and responded “Learn to talk to people, there is no reason for you to be nasty!” I walked out with the food.I do not care if there is a line out the door or you are busy. There is no reason for someone to disgustingly nasty and rude!“

“This place was really good. Tried them for the first time on a recommendation, so we ordered a bunch of our go to items and shared. Regular and Szechuan dumplings were both very good. So was the dumping sauce and home made hot mustard. BBQ spare ribs were delicious and super size. House fried rice was like home made, so was everything we ordered actually, even the egg roll. Pleasantly surprised. And a plus for us was they deliver to Piermont and you can order online. Will be using them again.“

“items i ordered were slightly better than every other chinese place ive been. general tso chicken had a slight pineapple flavor, hinting a tang-soo-yook (for those korean) profile. veg lo mein tasted exactly how it was supposed to. even the wonton soup had this extra egg/chicken umami to it. added bonus... the mom (i assume owner) and little daughter (just hanging out there) were very welcoming and hospitable to me/wife/my 3 yr-old. perhaps this place deserves 4 - 4.5 since its not like food was anywhere close to Michelin Star level - but i rate as 5 in context of chinese take outs.“

“Always drove by it and saw advertising in our local Clipper but never jumped in until a few days ago. Three Asians cuisine, Chinese, Japanese and Thai. Had dinner with my family, my daughter ordered shrimp fried rice, my wife had Mei fun noodles while I ordered the yellow curry tofu. We all also shared sushi rolls, sashimi and hand rolled sushi. My curry dish was amazing just as good as if I had it at a Thai only restaurant. My daughter said the best fried rice she’s had and the same with my wife’s noodle dish. Plenty of different dishes to choose from specially if your family can agree on a cuisine. For example, the Fried Chicken Dumplings are VERY fried, creating a hard crust that overwhelms whatever little stuffing there is. The Smoked Salmon Fried Rice, was meh, with just enough salmon bits to call the dish "salmon." The braised duck Bao had bits of bone in the meat. It's a cool venue, but based on reviews, I had higher expectations.Four other things need addressing. $0.50 added to each dish and mentioned on the menu, about using that money for "cooks and porters." That should be a management decision and does not have to shared with diners. It's not for the money...it's a distraction to the experience of dining out. The alcoholic drinks are about $12 (way too high) and there are no ice tea refills, so I ended up paying $15 for 3 glasses of ice tea. The service is too fast, clearing dishes the moment you are done and removing dishes of other diners while one diner is still eating. That creates a sense of stress. Finally, there is no signage on the property as to where the restaurant is, so many, wonder about looking for it.“

“I came here during the weekday for lunch. I chose the 3 roll maki lunch special ($14.99)l. They also have 2 roll for $11.99 the Lunch special's included miso soup and salad with that yummy dressing. All very good! There was a table with about 6 people seated just before me. I was afraid it would take to long to get my order but I got it a fairly quickly. I had enough time within the hour lunch break to casually eat my lunch and make it back to work. Service was quick and attentive. Lunch prices are fair and most importantly food was very good! This review is for the sushi only. Interior was a little dark at first,but nicely decorated, but it was a very hot day and the ac was blasting which was very welcomed. “Amazing food and super authentic! Ate here on Chinese New Year Eve because we were looking for a Chinese restaurant and we got in pretty late around 9 PM and they were still very happy to serve us. We ordered the “Happy Family” dish on the specials list consisting of chicken, roasted pork, shrimp and scallops served with a bowl of rice on the side and the sauce on the meat was so good! It included quite a bit of vegetables too which was really nice. We also ordered the meat dumplings and I HIGHLY recommend those because they taste so authentic like the dumplings my family makes! Even my boyfriend (who usually does not like Asian food lol) loved these dumplings so much and said he could eat probably 2 plates of them if he were hungrier. There are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu too, such as the stir fry tofu and vegetables, fried rice, noodles, vegetable dumplings and more. We only waited about 10 mins total for the food so it came super quick and we were very satisfied with the service. Will definitely be back here if in the area again!“

The spare ribs, egg foo yung, rices & noodle dishes are tasty & fresh, however I find their food a little on the expensive side & forget it if you want it delivered...too many fees!
