“I recommend the pork feet stew that’s the dish I like here. The mother and daughter duo I think they are the owners are very nice especially the daughter. The only thing I dislike is when I get a salty portion of the dish and I don’t expect it I end up not eating cause I get diarrhea when it’s too salty. So I hope and pray when I stop by they have them pork feet stew. The pork feet stew is perfectly seasoned. I don’t know why I like it a lot. It has cilantros and taste great with plain white rice and I ask for extra gravy. For a small plate $6, medium $10 and large $12. The price is very fair and good Dominican food.“

“So I decided to visit this restaurant because it has good reviews and the menu looked good. When I first arrived here, I was a little doubtful of my decision to come, as this restaurant is quite simple and easy to miss. I decided to go in after seeing several other people come in. I ordered chicken chicharrones with tostones and was told it would be a short wait for them to be made fresh. It wasn't a long wait and I saw the very generous portions of food I was getting. I also ordered a large chicken soup. The price was very fair and everyone who worked in the restaurant was very friendly. Being able to speak Spanish is an advantage but not completely necessary. Let me tell you something, the delicious fragrance emanating from the food was almost impossible to resist on the way home, and it made my car smell better than any air freshener. The soup was ridiculously delicious, filled with chicken and vegetables and just amazing. Even my cats couldn't resist the aroma and taste of chicken. The chicharrones were a little overcooked but still incredibly delicious. I'm so glad I found this place and I could really go here every day. I recommend anyone to stop by here and enjoy their delicious food.Parking: It's a little difficult to find parking right in front of this place, but there is ample free parking on the side streets.“

“I'd forgotten how much I loved the old Corona lunch turned Ambar Restaurant and recently rediscovered it while in the area craving Dominican food. Great new location with parking and tables instead of the old counter service. I was informed they only serve Sancocho on Monday and Wed. So we had the seafood soup and Oxtail stew instead. The seafood soup came with big pieces of lobster in the shell and was served with a lobster cracker. There was tons of shellfish and seafood as well in a rich delicous soup. The oxtail was divine. We came back two days later just for the Sancocho. Service was great. I highly recommend!“

“Amazing Food and VERY KIND STAFF! Made a catering order from them and fed a group of 40 people with exceptional quality Dominican food. Everyone says Westchester doesn't have good food, but Denny's Buffet clearly shows they're above that.Dietary restrictions: They were able to provide catered food that did not have animal products (rice, beans, fried plantains, etc.)“

“Excellent food and friendly staff, including owners. They go out of their way to accommodate you. The prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you're served. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for Spanish / Dominican cuisine. Must try the shrimp mofongo. The best!“

“Brand new place, didn’t even have the menu up yet when I walked in. I found it while driving through sleepy hollow during my work day and wanted to grab something to go with my lunch. Empanadas were on point! crisp, not greasy and a real treat. Food and owners were cool guys, definitely will return to check out the menu.“

“I've been here twice and so far I've liked the ambience. The service is exceptional, the welcoming owner provided us food samples (drinks, desserts, and meats) for my partner and I to try and let me say... they were all delicious!! Totally recommend this restaurant, and we'll definitely be coming back soon.“

“My fav spot. Anytime I'm in the bronx I hit them up. Rotisserie chicken with rice and beans and ajo. Amazing. They are also very reasonable I get the lunch special no matter what time I go.Parking: The parking sucks but that has more to do with nyc and not the restaurant.“

“Ordered from Uber Eats for the first time today. I ordered the small pernil lunch along with both a beef and a chicken empanada. I wasn't expecting much but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The rice was fluffy and seasoned well. The pork was juicy and flavorful. I will definitely order from them again.“
