“If you're craving authentic Mediterranean flavors in White Plains, look no further than Falafel Place! My recent lunch experience here was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that set the tone for a delightful meal.First off, let's talk about the falafel—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a true taste of tradition and craftsmanship. Alongside the falafel, I indulged in their hummus, which was creamy, rich, and paired perfectly with their fresh pita bread. But the star of the show was undoubtedly their signature dish, the Eggplant Shakshuka. This unique twist on a classic was an explosion of flavors, with sautéed tomatoes, green and red peppers, and perfectly roasted eggplant, all topped with poached eggs. It was a culinary masterpiece that left me craving more. What's more, the staff at Falafel Place were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. Whether you're a falafel fanatic or just looking to explore new flavors, I highly recommend paying a visit to Falafel Place in White Plains. You won't be disappointed!Dietary restrictions: Tons of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian & vegan options!!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs!“
“Food was great but what pulled me in was the staff! Xavier explained the options and made a few recommendations when I asked. Super friendly and knowledgeable!! Deshannon also helped me, and together they made placing my order a great experience! Go see them and they’ll take great care of you!“
“This Restaurant is really the nicest restaurant I've gone to this year. I had a business brunch meeting there and they have an incredible back room with plenty of room to spread out and conduct a meeting as well as incredible food. Valet Parking a plus!!!!“
“Jane K.GABBQ was awesome in every way! My guests did not stop raving about the food! The staff was professional and just really nice people. Great service! They personally added to the warmth and ambiance of our milestone birthday celebration. Our friends and family praised me for the great job I did putting the party together, but in fact, I left it all up to GABBQ. I recommend The Great American Barbecue Company without hesitation and would absolutely use them again!“
“The biggest slices you'll get in the area! True Bronx/NYC style slices. There is such a big variety of slices to choose from. The owner and staff are always friendly. The only pizzeria I frequent in Hawthorne.Parking: The parking can be tight during lunch hours, but typically you'll find a spot.“
“Update April 2024:The young man at the register is extremely attentive. I checked the menu and noticed they have two new sweet flavors. Couldn’t resist to try them out. Will be coming back!I used to come to this place most of the time. I don’t think I’ll be coming here anymore. Mind you, the hours online says until 10:30 Sunday-Thursday. So I walked in and one of the employees says “picking up?” I said “no”. She instantly said “OK BYE”. I’ve never encountered any service like that. As soon as I’m trying to tell her “the hours are wrong” she just kept saying “OK BYE”. The service has downgraded, very very rude customer service.“
“Vegetarian options: There were enough options for my vegetarian friend to choose from.Parking: The restaurant is an anchor to the Westchester Mall, which has plenty of parking that is now flat rate vs the hourly they used to charge.Kid-friendliness: There were kids throughout that appeared to be enjoying themselves.“
“Lively spot with plenty of well spaced tables & booths. I really love the look of this spot...rich velvet curtain, low, cozy lights, great for a relaxing evening. The Brussel sprouts were unbelievably good as was the medditeran salad. Healthy choices done well! Service great, attentive and friendly.“
“I say, I was initially unsure what to think of an establishment named after a metal fruit. However after several years of patronage I can say that whatever an "Iron Tomato" is, it's good! I've tried their pizza which is decent, at best, their salads are serviceable too. However, the REAL reason you should come here are for their signature sandwiches. There are a plethora of delicious options from cold cuts to hot cutlets and more. Despite being as upscale and gentrified as it is, the sandwiches are comparatively cheap to others in the area. Despite this, the ingredients are fresh and taste better than the competition! Good show! Fare 4/5 Price $$“
“Service was excellent. We ate at the bar. The food was amazing and the presentation was great. They even had cloth napkins. It was very reasonably priced. Very good ambience. Pretty much they did everything right. I would highly recommend it.“
“Arriving at 6:00 on a Saturday evening without reservations, my companion and I were delighted to be seated at a small booth in the bar area. Great seating, as it was comfortable and felt private. We each enjoyed a special cocktail, and appetizers of delicious cauliflower and truffle pizza and popcorn shrimp (complete with tiny crumbles of popcorn!) We then really enjoyed the chicken pot pie and cucumber and broccoli entre salad. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Very fine experience. Look forward to returning soon.“
