Cocktails were good and strong, the sushi was tasty, and the entrees were flavorful. There was no skimping on the portions either. I got 3 dinners out of mine. We will be back!”

First time I ever been in a restaurant in almost 51 years I was not treated like a customer we were treated like family. We are currently on our way up there in about 2 hours with two of our Rescue 343-2 911 Memorial Team Members!!! Best Pizza and deseI evere had!!! 9-11-01 We Will Never Forget”

“I cannot recommend Porchlight enough! I have become a frequent flyer— no seriously— twice a dad visits. I love the convenience of their online ordering in the morning and their great cafe space for lunch. There is no wrong answer when it comes to their variety of flavors for your lattes. Truly a skillfully crafted coffee menu along with flavor-packed food options. My absolute favorite menu item is their harvest Cobb salad. I CAN’T GET ENOUGH! Dried cranberries, grilled chicken, feta (I think), walnuts, topped with the to-die-for maple vinaigrette on a bed of lettuce. Seriously, there is NO reason NOT to go to Porchlight. Cheers!”

“I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!”

“First time here and I cant wait to go back! Before I talk about the food, I have to give a big shout out to our servers Amanda and Anna. They were a lot of fun and very accomadating. Amanda has been there for eight years and Anna is training She was a real trooper with our attempts to razzle her. Now for the food. Almost every month they have lobster fest featuring unique lobster dishes. This morning they had posted one of these dishes being fried lobster tail. I have never heard of lobster being fried and knew I had to have this. It was beyond my expectations, absolutely amazing! I expect a small tail but this was far from small. I can polish off lobster tails but in this case I needed a to go box! They also have the best white french dressing I’ve ever had and I’ve tried many. I ordered lobster bisque to go for Scott. Not only did he say it was the absolte est ever (huge compliment because everything is usually just alright to him which is interpreted as good) he was also taken back by how much lobster was in it. Very comfortable, nice restaurant with fantastic servers and outstanding food…which means the chef is a rock star! The building is deceiving from the outside but I assure you when you get inside you will be wowed!”

It’s a lot of oil and would definitely be 5star if they can find a way to get the pizza to be the same but deduct how much oil is used so the bottoms of the slices aren’t so wet in the oil. “I have never had a bad experience in all of the years I have ate at or carried out food at Uncle Titos but tonight has to be my most favorite experiences. Their credit card machines were down when I went to pick up my carry out order, they offered to take down my card information so I was able to still get my order. I was a little nervous but I let him take my information as well as my name and number. I just received a text message with a photo of my ticket and then a photo of my ticket ripped up to ensure my information was destroyed. They took the time to do this with each person that trusted them with their information. I think this shows the type of business they are and I am blown away!”

This is my first time visiting Ohio, and honestly, we hadn’t had the best experiences since arriving. The other night around 7, we left the hospital to get my brother some coffee after finding everything there closed, and we happened to come across your coffee shop. From the moment we walked in, your staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, even without knowing anything about what we were going through. Then, a gentleman unexpectedly blessed us by paying for our order. That small act of kindness, along with the warmth from your staff, meant more to us than I can explain. In the middle of such a stressful and emotional time, your coffee shop gave us a moment of comfort and reminded us that there are still genuinely good people in the world. I recommend the Jamaican Mule, I get it every time, it's delicious. Food wise you can't go wrong. The owner throws down in the kitchen, especially with the seafood and burgers. Talk about good seasoning, everything's seasoned delightfully. My favorites so far are the Shrimp Quesadillas (Tuesday is quesadilla day) , their Summit Lake fries and every Friday is fish Friday with a great deal on yellow tailed perch fried to perfection. This place is tastier than any sit down restaurant in the area trust me. 10/10”

“We came in last Sunday. We had been here a few times and I must say this was one of the best. Our server was very nice and on top of things for us. Lena is think was her name. We could tell they were busy as it seemed there was only 2-3 servers on. Our food was not long on the wait. The manager changed a TV for us so my buddy could watch hockey. We always have had problems with other places never changing TV's for us. He asked us how our day had been and just seemed to really care about us being there. Dan was wonderful and made sure, it seemed that everyone was having a nice time. I will definitely be back soon. Wonderful Irish food.”

The pasta was the excellent. Even bring a lunch portion I had more than enough to enjoy there and still bring some home for late night snacking.

I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!”

Honestly the cinnamon cream cold brew is to die for! This is the only coffee shop that I have found to actually give me a run for my money with my coffee that I make at home.
My only complaint is that we need more locations in Ohio. Specifically near Akron Ohio.”
