“This little restaurant is quite a gem. The food here is awesome. They serve the BEST burger within a 50 mile radius. No restaurant can even come close to their burgers. Everything on their menu is over and above anything you can get anywhere else. The people who own it and work there could not be friendlier. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. You will not leave here hungry.“

“My mother-in-law and I enjoy finding diner type restaurants. As soon as we walked in, we knew this was going to be an enjoyable meal. She loved the perch sandwich, Deep fried veggies were good. She commented several times the coffee was delicious. Best of all some of the locals included us in their conversation and we had such a good time. We will definitely be back!“

The service is impeccable and we were well taken care of. The fried pickles were yummy and the tots are probably the best I've ever tried. Almost addicting with how good they are. We enjoyed our sliders a lot. The Bluto was my favorite and the Winchester was nice although I think it could have used a bit more sauce. Keep up the great! “I have went there on three separate occasions and all different times, I ordered something I haven't got before (aside from the chicken Alfredo lol). Fantastic food, fantastic service. Place is truly a hidden gem right on 158. From the chicken alfredo to the Philly steak sub, to starters like the BPH Bombs to the Mac and Cheese bites. Everything has been excellent made with fresh ingredients! All three times, I ordered takeout but the atmosphere is awesome and the service seems very responsive and friendly. GO HERE, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!“

“We called ahead for the wait list, once there it was a 5 minute wait at best. When we got seated our server was right there talking care of us. The food was delicious! It's a nice warm environment. We drive down from Columbus for that location.“

“I was pleasantly surprised by the wing burger which is served with hand cut fries. Service was great. My only issue was the strange smell, I assume it's the bar. I would definitely go back and likely order the same exact thing. Wing burger with ranch and Bleu cheese on the side. I loved that they had hand sanitizer on the tables.“

“Met the needs for a large team meeting. Must contact and reserve the dinning area that is secluded ahead of time. Food came out hot and fresh. Tasted great! Not a complaint in the house! Waitress was very attentive and polite. The restaurant was well lit and appeared clean. Could improve in areas such as being aware of where staff is speaking to one another when customers are seated and minimizing their voice so conversation with kitchen staff isn't heard easily. We are a returning customers and enjoy the breakfast and privacy that Scramblers offers.“

“Drove to Ohio for a night from NH to pick up my puppy BLU with a friend on 7/28/23. The breeder recommended this place as having the best wings. He wasn't kidding! This place had killer wings. We tried I think 4 different flavors, loved the Japenese BBQ that had some spice to it. It had a funky name but was delicious. We also had a fried shrimp basket that was loaded with succulent fried shrimp and the most amazing homemade hand cut fries that were fried to perfection. We played keno and tried our hand at pull tabs too. We weren't big winners but we didn't lose overall which was a plus. The best win was tremendous service. Our bartender was super attentive and she made sure were well taken care of. Portion sizes were generous. Pricing was also very reasonable. This place was so great its almost worth the 13 hour trip out and 14 hour trip back. Can't wait to stop in again next time I'm out that way. Maybe next year when I get another Frenchton puppy.“

“Great atmosphere with live entertainment! We went here to gather with a few friends for my 50th birthday and see friends of ours play on a Wednesday night. Our waitress was excellent and the music, wings and drinks are really good! Being it was Wednesday, there wasn't a lot of patrons, but I imagine this is a great spot for a Friday or Saturday night out. It's a really large space with plenty of seating. This was my first visit, and it was memorable for sure!“

“My wife and I moved to Baltimore about a year ago and went for the first time at lunch. I had the chicken ranch wrap and my wife had the club with wheat bread. The servers were very friendly and the service was quick. We both enjoyed the food. I would have preferred a little more veggies in my wrap, it was mostly meat and cheese. “I decided to give the updated/new version of "The Pump House" a try on 12/29/23 since I saw so many reviews that mentioned everything was updated/different/refreshed. I was NOT disappointed. My girlfriend and I decided to eat lunch there. She had the chili with garlic knots and I had the classic burger and fries. Absolutely delicious all the way around. The burger had so much flavor including a fresh bun. The chili flavors dazzled my girlfriend's tastebuds. I only got to try one spoonful, but I can agree!We both decided that we wanted to get a couple of the new versions of their pizza to take home for dinner in the evening. We were very impressed in this respect too. The crust was JUST right. Nothing burnt, it's NOT cracker crust (THANK YOU!) and the topping flavors all came through in each bite.Finally, service was fantastic, friendly, and timely. We are both thrilled to have another quality place to dine close to home for VERY reasonable prices, especially considering the portions and quality received.Thank you Pump House!“

Working in Lancaster from the coast of Houston Texas, know a bit about seafood. Reminded me of the hometown and how good the seafood was there. The clam strips and shrimp were the favorite. Onion rings were solid! Would pick this place again for sure, definitely a great stop in Lancaster.“

“It's unfortunate that I feel compelled to write this review. Our family has been going to Shades since they opened; we remember the joy when they were finally able to sell wings. For years, it was at least a weekly stop, so it is safe to say we've been in there hundreds of times. We've developed relationships with many of the servers, bartenders, and managers. It was always a pleasure to see the young people grow up, move on to bigger and better things, grow families, see picture of their kids, etc. Was nice to see some of our favorite comes back for summer break or part-time and hear about what they'd been up to. In short, we liked the place!The kitchen has always been hit or miss. But... it used to be that the servers were always advocates for their customers and willing to make things right. Not so much anymore... we have generally stopped going there because it's gone so down downhill and the last several visits have been such disasters! Now, it seems that corrective and constructive actions have been replaced by defensive aggression towards the customers. (Don't tell the customer that the pitiful, shriveled single piece of lettuce that's very clearly been sitting under a heat lamp so long it's turned black next to the one end slice of tomato on a BLT is "just the way they make". Crap like that should have NEVER walked out the door if anyone who had any pride had seen it!!)Instead of working together as a team as we have seen them do over the years, recently, there has been noticeable catty behavior between the servers that honestly creates a very negative and toxic environment.Have talked to multiple people who have worked there or know people who have worked there and the stories are not pretty or flattering.When your server comes to your table and tells the customer (as ours did yesterday), "I just want to cry, I can't wait to get out of here"... maybe there's a problem.There are lots of specific incidents/details I could relate, but in general, I don't patronize places where I'm repeatedly demeaning, insulted, and made to feel a nuisance!!Congratulations Shades on developing a solid culture of mediocrity where belittling your customers for YOUR shortcomings has not only become acceptable, but the pervasive norm!!This is not sustainable, and unless the ship is righted and pride in customer service and product are returned, your days are numbered! Shades is a staple and beloved in Canal. Please take this feedback as a gift as our family genuinely wants you to be successful. You made it 20 years, but I will be amazed if you make it another 5 unless things change.“

“This place is amazing.We were going to a different place for breakfast, but it was too busy, so we went to Sramblers, which was also busy, but we still got started quickly.The menu looked really good and they had some good specials as well.The food was as good as the menu. Very large portions. Everything was cooked perfectly. And everyone agreed the good was great.I had the Wisconsin Scramble. Scrambled eggs with cheese and a side of loaded hash browns. They also grilled my blueberry muffin at my request. Best breakfast in a while.My son in law got the Country Fried Steak special. It had 2 Steaks and the meal was huge. He couldn't finish it.You should try this place.“

“My husband & I went to Otherworld today & my husband loves hot dogs so we had to try Bowzers out! We ordered a coney dog, junkyard dog & a chicago style dog. All three dogs were delicious, generous portions of toppings on each one. The buns were soft & held up through the wetness from the chili & relish. Though the hot dogs come with forks, knives & a nicely wrapped thick napkin, in case the bun decides to cave in! Bowzers was a quick 3 minute drive from Otherworld & there were plenty of parking spaces & places to sit & enjoy our lunch on this nice day! Service was quick & the owner working was very nice. We will 100% be back!!“
