Since I have visited Scotty's Cafe I have been eating lunch here every day (literally 5 days a week), you can't beat the atmosphere the food is amazing and the owners are definitely one of a kind. “I had an excellent sushi dinner at 698 Restaurant. Although advertised as “Asian fusion” it seems to be primarily Japanese and sushi cuisine, so keep that in mind if you dine here. The staff was very courteous, warm, and welcoming, without feeling wooden or forced. Just friendly and happy folks. The host gave me several options for seating instead of just assigning me a table, which I appreciate. The waiter was relaxed and personable while being friendly. My waiter sat down in my booth while taking my order, which is very unusual but came off as a hard working server and not a rigidly controlled employee. I started with the kani salad which was larger than I expected and full of crisp greens, tasty salad dressing, a generous heap of tempura flakes, and imitation crab tossed in Kupi Mayo. Altogether, a pleasant crispy combination of crispy and creamy flavors. My sushi rolls were fresh, tasty, well seasoned, and coated with a reasonable amount of eel sauce. An excellent combination of savory, salty, creamy, and spicy flavors. Really great sushi. There was no “fishy smell” or stale taste, something people are concerned about when eating sushi in a landlocked area like Columbus Ohio. This is 5 star sushi. I must complain about the menu: is a 12 page booklet. Simply too long, too many options, and takes too long to look through. It reminds me of the grocery store aisle with 95 different types of cereal – the dining experience would be better with a 4 page menu and 1/3 as many options. The ambiance at 698 Restaurant is very tasteful and well done: dark moody atmosphere, comfy booths throughout, orange-yellow lanterns throughout the area, dark wood frames framing each area, a well-lit bar with comfy stools, squeaky clean hardwood floors, and linens made from dark, crisp, clean cloth. I would not hesitate to return here for sushi dinner any time.”

“My family had the pleasure of dining at Lola & Giuseppe's last evening, and it truly was a pleasure! We began with wedding soup (some of the best I have ever tasted), a Guiseppe's Salad, and spinach-artichoke dip. Two of our group had the meat lasagna which was delicious and a huge serving. Other entrees included egg plant parmigana and chicken marsala. All were excellent, large servings, and very reasonably priced. The surprise (and a good one) was the Creme de Limocello that was bursting with lemon flavor and a nice little nip. Service was excellent and the owner stopped by to chat on two occasions thanking us for dining there. It was undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had in quite a while. Highly recommend!”

“I took my husband to IHOP for Father's Day and had a wonderful experience! We brought our little grandson along, and our server was incredibly kind and patient with him (he is one), which made our visit even more special.

The food was delicious especially the pancakes and crispy hash browns. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the service was attentive from start to finish. Our server checked on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great food, friendly service, and a family-friendly atmosphere made for a perfect Father's Day breakfast. We'll definitely be back! 🥞”

“It was firt time, to dine Nigerian restaurant, I and my family ordered fufu with casava leaves soup, and pasta with shrimp,. The fufu was delicious but the pasta wasn't good because of cooked with coconut juice and isn't good and very watery in it. I will definitely tell the restaurant for the restaurant. “Wow. First time visiting. I wish I would have come sooner. Beautiful decor, lively atmosphere, excellent server, and one of the best meals I have had in Columbus. There were 5 in our party. It was a Sunday, so all day happy hour. Appetizers were 1/2 off. We shared several types of sushi and taquitos to start. Sushi was very fresh. For mains, we got burgers, tacos, and fish sandwich. All very yummy and well-prepared. We shared insanely delicious desserts- chocolate cake - which had more of a brownie consistency but not complaining - and olive oil cake with the best flavored whipped I ever had - creamsicle. Tasted exactly like a creamsicle ice cream bar. Everything was just delicious. Our server was terrific. The only small issue was the servers were stretched a bit thin so it was a while between her visits to the table. But she was very pleasant, friendly and professional. With 1/2 off appetizers and draft beer, it was an excellent value.”

I was accommodated by the regulars and Kate the waitress about what I should order since it was my first time. Regulars recommended I get a half order of French toast and half order of biscuits . Kate recommended I get the gyro since she likes it and its popular. I also ordered hash browns and scrambled eggs . I took the food home and the eggs were missing but they gave me a credit for those next time I come back . Everything tasted really good, loved the hash browns 10/10. The French toast and gravy was really good, the biscuits were a little crispy thou . Fiancé says gyro was okay but pretty dry not much meat 5/10. Will definitely be back Tuesdays threw Fridays when Kate Works !! Thanks for the great first experience. BTW this breakfast/lunch place is right next to panera !!”

A few of the sweet baristas are Kelsey, Daniela, Erin, Gi Gi, but 'all' of them are a joy. The manager is Dylan and he is exceptionally nice always. The baristas 'always' make my customized drink right. They seem like family. Let's be especially respectful and kind to them. Their demeanor remains the same even when they are rushed and extremely busy. It's a joy to see them.”

“We really enjoyed our meals here. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, tender and great flavor. The wood fired chicken was equally good. We would've preferred the roasted vegetables be a bit more cooked. They were hot but basically still raw. The desserts that came with the 3 course meal were all tasty and generous in size. Would definitely recommend the creme brulee cheesecake... outstanding. The only thing that kept this from 5 stars is the ridiculously cold air conditioning. Our server said she'd talk to the manager about it, but nothing ever changed. The food cooled off very quickly, and we were frozen by the end of the meal.”

“I can't say enough about our incredible experience tonight at Kona Grill. I just got diagnosed with cancer, had my first chemo last Friday and finally felt well enough to get out. I've loved Kona since the first time I came in 2003 yall. So for me it's one of my favorites. Jacquelyn and Juan could not have made my first outing post chemo/newly bald more memorable. This before they knew I had just experienced a very challenging week. That aside the food was phenomenal, I had the macadamia nut chicken and holy Hannah the dessert! Made in house and absolutely incredible. I simply can't say enough. The environment, the service, the food. Worth every moment.”

“My time here was amazing! After a long day in front of customers, I came in for a good meal, but what I got was an entire experience. Oliva took care of me like we were old friends. Her drinks were on point and so were her recommendations. Espresso martinis are made with real espresso, and she packs it down before putting it through the machine. You can't leave without having the Veal meatballs, if you can do veal; the consistency is unparalleled. the Vodka Penne was not what I expected tbh, but was one of the most delish things i've ever had. It was spicy, but it was worth it! I love the fact there are soft chairs and a soft couch to sit on. With fibromyalgia,it's important I sit on soft furniture. Plenty of tables with chairs to sit to read, type on a laptop, have meetings, etc. The iced latte was delicious - I wished there were more gluten-free baked goods/meals. “I love supporting local restaurants and the incredible talent they bring to Columbus. I did the chef’s omakase experience and it was incredible. It was the perfect way to spend the evening, and probably the highest quality fish I’ve ever had. The chefs walked us through each piece, explained where the fish came from, and taught us about what we were eating. I ended up learning a lot, which made the experience even better.

We’re really lucky to have this level of skill and passion here in Columbus. And for a fraction of what you’d pay for a similar experience in places like New York, it’s an incredible value. I’ll definitely be back.”

“I strayed from my usual Cortado during this brutal heatwave to enjoy an espresso tonic. This underordered and simple drink was made great here with great portion of tonic water to add a sweetness to the hearty espresso flavor. There was not too much ice so the flavor stayed and hardly shifted as the espresso and tonic mixed in portions as the drink went on. Am looking forward to trying a Cortado and a house lemonade from the truck!”
