“Went here for my birthday recently and it was amazing, hands down some of if not the best food I've ever had! We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was very special. The food was elaborate in concept and after each dish was served I found myself saying “this is my favorite” every single time. By course 5 we declared we would be back. I also really appreciated the touch of whimsy, with the cute chopstick holders to the lego figures in the bathroom and the foreign candy that was served with the check. It just felt so sophisticated while still being a place you could relax and just enjoy good food.”

The rich, inviting aroma of Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse pulled me in, and I decided to treat myself. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt transported. The elegant, vintage-style décor, the perfectly choreographed service, and the hum of happy diners created an atmosphere that felt both upscale and welcoming. The staff was polished yet warm, attentive without being intrusive. I watched as garnished cocktails in beautiful cut glass were whisked to tables and crumbs were quietly swept away between courses. I ordered a pork chop cooked to perfection, with a side of rich Creamed Spinach. Every bite was indulgent. Then came an unexpected treat—a custom Louis Vuitton or the Ruby Vuitton purse cake delivered to a nearby table like a grand reveal in a smoke filled glass presentation box marked with the signature LV. The server caught my eye, winked, and I couldn’t help but smile at the showmanship. Jeff Ruby’s isn’t just about great food—it’s about the experience. From the service to the presentation, everything felt special. Dining alone can sometimes feel awkward, but here, I felt i was part of an Immersive dining experience. He was hilarious and so approachable, willing to give more tips when I was struggling miserably LOL. We loved the variety of games, including a cornhole-style scoring game (1st to 21 or 51). The bar is very nice, and they serve an excellent peach mint mule- great work, Dan. We will definitely be going back!”

“I recently ate here with my fiancé and my mom and we instantly fell in love! We had traveled here from Terre Haute, IN (4 hours away) for a symphony show and wanted a quick bite to eat beforehand. The food was amazing and SO many options!! We could have spent all day there trying them all! The ice cream was super great! However, the best part was the customer service! I unfortunately did not catch his name, but the man who was there was absolutely brilliant and made our day! He was so friendly and helpful and just seemed like an old friend! We are getting married in September with a dog themed wedding and I seriously would do anything to have Tasty Dawg cater it!! 100 out of 10 would recommend and will be back!!! 🌭”

What’s great about really good NATURAL food is that you notice the absence of processing and junk. It tastes better in every way. You’ll notice these are not your average dogs right away. Our server was very friendly and checked on us often. We received our food exactly as we ordered it. Waffle House has a variety of food choices at affordable prices. “Understaffed, no supervision and a lack of proper training keep this potential hit spot way down. The singular cook actually cared but was not really trained and easily overwhelmed in spite of it being a slow night.
The solo waitress has similar issues and the place was needlessly cluttered from prior customers but could have been fixed in just a few minutes. Time she clearly had while we were there. In spite of this she eventually came around and made a decent effort.
I blame management based on what I observed. These two younger folks under good management and with solid, quality training could be really good at their jobs. They seem unguided and burned out. It would be nice if someone with the franchise read this and addressed it properly. With their potential, waffle house should try to keep them and develop them before they lose them.

She’s always so friendly and welcoming, offers suggestions, extras/ add ons, and basically reads your mind and knows what you want before you even know lol. She is very quick and our food literally comes out piping hot (like blow on it before putting it in your mouth hot). She provides the best service I’ve EVER had at any IHOP. Although the service is slow when there are a lot of people, they are very friendly, and everything including table spacing, interior design, and lighting was comfortable. The language is definitely Portuguese here but they do speak English as well although I am Puerto Rican so my Spanish could fend for itself there. I came alone and was sitted within like 10 minutes and then I forgot to put a coat down and someone took my table. After I got out of the line the servers helped me find a new table and offered different sauces to try with my meal. Everything was great but my favorite was the picanha! My only tip when you go here is to be confident speak up, it’s a busy restaurant but everyone seems willing to help. Great first time experience.”

Parking: The best bet in terms of parking is either of the garages around that intersection - there's one on Vine St. and one on Goodale Blvd across from the convention center. They are both paid garages and average about $10 for three hours. The restaurant also offers valet parking for $15 and there is some but very minimal street parking (paid).
Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is very tight in terms of seating and not the most wheel chair friendly in terms of navigation.”

Twice I for the Fungi Pasta Dish... I would eat it every night if I could. The server recommended a Pinot Noir to pair with it and oh my gosh, he was right. Those little moments is what sets restaurants a part. His knowledge for the dish, even though he said he didn't like mushrooms but knew the two paired together brilliantly was like YES!! THIS IS AMAZING!
Oh, the tuna Crudo dish??? I had to stop myself from being awkward and moaning out loud. I will be dreaming of that dish and counting till the next time we go again.
