“I don't frequent bars, but I finished up work nearby and was looking for a place to sit down and eat. I rolled the dice and walked into Mulligan's. I got the Bar Burger. It didn't have a proper bun--it was a half a sub-roll, but it was toasted and still quite good. The burger had a good flavor (I think it might have been part sausage, or the bacon just really shown through) but was thinner than I preferred, yet still a quarter pound of meat or so. Got to meet Scott, the owner. He was outgoing and energetic; seems motivated to make it a good place to hang out. There's also a cat who comes and goes as he pleases, which for me, adds to the place's charm.“

“A nice little tavern in Powell. They have some interesting looking cocktails. Beer list was ok, but lacking stouts and porters even in December. Food was good, but not exceptional. I had fish and chips. Fish was good and not too greasy, so good points there, but the fries are "shoestring" fries and so don't retain their heat for more than 2 minutes, so they definitely lost points there. (Especially when served as part of fish and chips, you expect the fries to be more than an after thought.) Son had the J Hancock burger which he thought also fell short of expectations. He ordered without onions and it came out without peppers too, which may have contributed to it falling a bit short. Wife thought her salad was quite tasty. I'll probably return, but will avoid the fries.“

I always get a brown bag beer and it's fun to see what is inside; even the servers like to find out with me. We never have to wait too long for our food and the servers have been consistently good. My wife had the B.E.L.T. sandwich, which I had some of. It was also tasty. If I lived closer, I would eat here again. When I thanked the server for the check, I was looking at my wife and accidentally said "thank you, I love you" to the server. My wife won't stop laughing at me for that. She called her mom to make fun of me for it. I don't know if the server heard me. If she did, she was polite about my gaffe.“

The owner was so freaking amazing!He guided us to the area with the pool tables and made sure our group had barstools and were comfortable. We also talked a bit and come to find out one of our friends is a regular at another bar he owns. Great conversation.
