“We had Old Carolina cater our wedding this last Saturday (2.24.24) at Lake Affect Studios in Cleveland, OH and we cannot thank the staff enough. We opted for a buffet option which worked out so well. We are still getting compliments on how delicious the food was. When we were thinking about food for our wedding, I knew I wanted a barbecue buffet! Once we saw they were on the preferred list of vendors for Lake Affect Studios it was a no brainer and we went with them as our first choice. We used to love eating at Old Carolina when they had a restaurant in Mentor, OH. Kelsey was so helpful in answering all of my questions leading up to wedding day, and assisting with the set up the day before. They did an amazing job keeping everyone fed and the staff was friendly and efficient. They let us take home left over food and we were able to enjoy the barbecue even after our big day. “I decided to order the famous Parmesan Crusted Lamb Chops that everyone has been raving about on TikTok. I also decided to grab a side of the Smokehouse Mac and Cheese. Even with me ordering it to-go, the food was still super fresh and it was all tasty! The portion sizes were also perfect for sharing if you aren’t able to eat it all alone. “My wife & I ate there for the first time, today. We both ordered the pork, rib, & brisket combo with a side of mac and cheese. Perfectly cooked meat, tender, moist, and full of classic smokey BBQ flavor. They had the best cornbread I’ve ever had from a restaurant. The potato salad was really good too.The staff were friendly and helpful.The atmosphere is a little rough. I was having second thoughts before heading inside. But then we sat in the parking lot and read some other reviews. Glad we decided not to judge a book by its cover, so to speak.We’ll definitely dine there again.“

“The place was clean and neat. I'm not familiar with area but it appeared to be okay. The gentleman were courteous and professional. Now the food was great, I order the polishboy combo. The crunch on thr chicken was damn good along with sauce and fries. Really enjoyed the chicken, with and without sauce. The polishboy....the BEST! I traveled a ways to visit this place just off reviews and glad I did, cause I will return. “Wife and I called in an order of pulled pork and the pulled chicken. Got green beans and coleslaw. And asked for an extra piece of cornbread. We had nitro been here before.It was a delicious dinner! All of it revery good!! We loved the pulled pork and cornbread the most but it all was excellent! Tender and delicious.When I got there I was greeted by ???. She was very nice! She gave me a free brownie because I had a little trouble ordering on line. And then at the end of the counter where I was to pick up my togo order Nat (?) gave me two free cookies because my wife and I were new customers! “Such a great BBQ joint! My husband and I were visiting Cleveland and stopped by here on our way out of town. I’m so glad we did. It was quick and friendly service while also having delicious food. The meat was tender and juicy - even without the sauce. The sauce was the right amount of sweet and savory and the baked beans had a delicious smokey taste. The potato salad was creamy without being overly mashed and still had chunks of soft potato, full of flavor.All in all - everything was just right! Wish we lived in town to make it a regular stop.“

“When I walked in I was greeted very nicely, then proceeded to get a 2x4 thrown at me. I was then asked for my order and well , how do I say this, I ordered a simple burger and then was asked if I wanted to see how they got their beef, I was taken to the back and was then molested by 2-3 of their employees. Several basic dinners for around $10, with the seafood items running up into the $30 range.Atmosphere feels like a "Mom and Pop" sort of place - comfortable and relaxed. The owner was on the floor, checking on things and bussing tables.Overall, thumbs up. Nothing fancy, great value.Parking: There is a parking lot behind the building.“

“Very good experience. The burger and fries were awesome. One thing I will note is that they add an extra 3% to all credit card payments. This is not the problem. The issue I have here is that the waitress did not inform me before she totaled my bill. I was paying in cash so this didn't apply to me. The waitress happily corrected it, but it all could have been avoided earlier.“

“Perfectly local! Who knew that tucked between a wine bar and a hip eatery was Tommy's Place, a neighborhood bar in the middle of downtown Rocky River. Tommy's is quiet, full of regulars, not to mention the smell of popcorn and skeeball are enough to make you want to come back. Sit at the bar or on the front porch, either way stop in, play some keno and stay awhile. Will definitely be back.“
