Not the fanciest place, but without a doubt the best fish & chips we’ve found in Toronto. Tiny storefront with friendly staff whipped up excellent fish, the chips and coleslaw were fine and only the tartar sauce let us down a bit being factory made.We’ll be back for more — I want to try the scallops!Parking: Angle parking right in front.
My son noticed Captain John's one day while driving along Donlands and last week he suggested that we give them a try. I'm so glad we did! Rather than using a service, we ordered directly by phone to the restaurant. As it was Saturday evening, I was told there would be a 30-35 minute wait, which I expected and was fine with. Came here for the first time because of the rating. This did not disappoint !! I got the lunch special Basa with chips & I must say, it’s very delicious especially when you pair it with the house tartar sauce !!!Will definitely be coming back just for the halibut (see what I did there?).
