Service was 10000% and very friendly staff.Mainly a takeout joint, but the quality of the food here is top notch and even better than some of the sit down restaurants. Not even exaggerating.Their burger patties are Halal and made fresh, and made to order, super juicy, not dry, and full of flavour. I highly recommend the crispy chicken because it's so juicy and tender but not overly oily either.Their beef patties are simplistic but you really don't need anything else to highlight the burger. I would call them classics but made well.Also, their poutine are soooo filling but so worth the price for their massive portions! Definitely a guilty indulgence for those nights of partying or even for friend gatherings.Wish they were closer to Markham, but if I'm ever in the area and craving burgers and fries, definitely would come back here.“

“Although we have been patrons for years, today was the first time we decided to sit down and eat lunch. It is a better experience than eating in the car! But foremost is the quality of the food. Of course we cannot expect fresh, unfrozen fish. But I had the cod and my wife had the halibut and the fish remained tender and moist. The batter is not excessive and it appears that the oil is changed regularly because there is no telltale residue or aftertaste of old oil with burnt batter in the fish and chips.“

“Last Sunday my friends and I was looking for a bar to go have a few drinks. We went to Cheers for the first time. Carmen the owner was so welcoming made us feel at home what a gem and legend she is. She is such a wonderful human being. She is not judgemental and makes the environment like you are coming to see mom. My friends and I will be back. “Best fish and chips I've had. Closest by far to proper irish fish and chips and even have curry sauce! The chips in Toronto tend to be a little different than back home but these were on point both texture and flavour wise. Will be back. Get some battered sausages and mushy peas and we will be back every week hahaha.“

Even the owners come and check on your table and see how everything is to your satisfaction. The decor is especially tastefully done with a nautical theme throughout. The salad bar is also very good as it is continuously being refreshed.Since I last reviewed the restaurant there has been a dramatic changeStarting with the sale to three Sri Lankan owners who are actively tearing apart everything that made that restaurant so quaint. Their treatment of longtime full-time staff it's deplorable by cutting their hours salad bar is gone which was a big hit for a most out of the patrons and the food is turning more ethnic as time goes on which chases some of the regulars out.The rustic feeling of an old dockside restaurant with delicious and reasonably priced fare is gone.All in all I must give this restaurant now a one star.Sorry to say but as of June the 15th there is no more restaurant. They have daily deals, which are super well priced. The food comes out quick and the portions are quite large. I have never been able to finish the fish and chips. They give you all the tartar sauce you want. It’s very clean and well maintained. The servers are friendly and try hard. Overall it’s a good place to eat two people $45 all in with tip. It’s pretty decent and considering the alternative like a pub that has fish and chips. This is significantly better.Kid-friendliness: You can definitely bring children here. Plenty of seating and they have a kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: The doors are wide and there is a ramp. The restaurant is all on one level and there is an ample dining room. The bathroom is very tight though so while not completely accessible this restaurant is almost there.“

The turkey was fresh and not dry, the portions were good, everything was to my liking.I've had holiday turkey meals at various restaurants around the city.
