“Yesterday was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared the English-style fish & chips, along with the full rack of ribs, and we happily devoured all of it! Amazing. We can't wait to visit again. I honestly did not expect a local pub to serve up excellence but that's exactly what they did. You need to understand that my partner and I can be quite picky and we usually find something negative to note; however, it was impossible to find anything negative to say about our meal. Good portion size, good prices, amazing menu, amazing flavours, good atmosphere, great service. Thank you South Shore Bar & Grill; we'll be back for sure!“
“nice restaurant. food was good. my half rack of lamb was good although I have had better at that price. it was sitting in a very salty sauce..the waiter took it back and put my food on a clean plate without the sauce. didn't even offer to pay my espresso for the trouble. a little crowded as well. my amarena ricotta cheesecake was the highlight.“
“Went here for the first time. The pastry is amazing. It equals the filling which is delicious. It makes you believe you are in a small country town in the U.K. It's a must have! Don't deprive your mouth and tummy of joy! You pay for what you get and I feel like I've won the jackpot with this. We enjoyed the Braised Beef Rib pie and the Chicken Mushroom pie. “I have eaten in their small but cozy(and nicely appointed) dining room twice (though it appears they also do a lot of take out service), both times I tried their Thai lunch specials (an exceptional value) and the food is amazing (I eat out a lot, even do mini reviews of restaurants i post in videos..mostly of Thai and Indian restaurants..this is the first that is both..am planning on trying Indian menu next time). I can honestly say this is without a doubt the best Thai food I've had in GTA plus the owners are the most friendly and welcoming hosts I've ever encountered! I'd give 2 bonus stars for 7 out of 5 if the option was available and I agree with the other commenter who said this place should be busy ALL the time (in my opinion it's one the best restaurants in GTA).Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian (as well as pescatarian) options both on the Thai and Indian menus!“
“Mangoes is a wonderful restaraunt, serving some of the best and most authentic Jamaican food in Toronto. Can't beat the lunch special here! The lady who runs it is so nice and always make visiting lovely. The fried chicken is especially good, but the whole menu is delicious. I've also tried the oxtail, curry chicken, stew chicken, jerk chicken, chicken soup, and sweet potato pie.“
