“Such a little gem hidden in a small plaza. This Italian cafe is our favourite. We always order the arancini, rose pasta, and a cold cut sandwich. Their tiramisu and cannoli is soo good! You can tell the owners, Anne and Sebastian truly care about their business and customers. Can’t wait to come back soon!“
“So this boutique shop is tucked away in the unit right next to Yuzu No Ki (sharing a space w/ Tora Sushi). My gf and I did not even notice it the first time around when we visited Yuzu No Ki (which is also a 5 star shop btw).Admittedly, I'm not the biggest mochi fan, but the quality of these mochis were incredible. My gf ordered an assorted box of 6 mochis.Very fresh and I really liked the cream filled mochis more than the regular filling ones. Mango in particular, struck a deep chord w/ me. I love mango anything and the mango mochi did not disappoint. To get the best tasting experience, take your refrigerated mochis out and let them rest until room temperature before consuming. I found that the dough and filling had a better mouth feel upon waiting a bit after taking them out of the fridge.“
“I have been patronizing this cake shop for many years. The boss is very attentive to making cakes. The design, taste and ingredients are all very good. The boss is also very friendly. My kids really like the strawberry cream cake from this cake shop.“
“The drinks were great. I ordered a hot matcha latte with sweetener and really enjoyed. I make matcha lattes myself but they dont compare. The service was great. I called before visiting and this cafe has no sit down time. Great place to do work.“
“The assortment of pastries and desserts, each resembling a piece of art, is incredibly tempting. Today, I had three of them, and they were very delicious. I eagerly anticipate tasting others on my next visit. Moreover, the ambiance of this shop is ideal for gathering with friends, enjoying coffee, and enjoying delectable treats.“
“This is a nice little mom & pop diner in an industrial area, so people expecting some swanky new digs and haute cuisine are looking for the wrong thing. At the end of the day, the food is great and has that home-cooked taste, portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and service is friendly. I'm not a regular, but I come back here from time to time. You should try it!“
“We had Charlie's 5th birthday party here and it was a hit amongst guests and doggy participants. When you book for a 2h time slot, you are able to use the space for the party and can rearrange the tables how you like them. We were able to bring outside food in for human guests and we started a tab at the cafe bar for our guests. Other customers were able to come in and get something however were not allowed to stay inside while the party was going on which was nice. I think the price was reasonable and we were given an hour to set up before the party started. There was a bit of a hiccup on opening and setting up however the owners were super nice and accommodating. At the end of the day I was super thrilled with the result however hosting a dog party with more than 10 dogs is definitely overwhelming. Highly recommend. 10 pup cups included and a bag of treats!“
“The best HK milk tea in Toronto, my friend bought me HK milk tea leave gift set come with Kamcha evaporated milk in x’mas a yr ago. This combination is the best and even since I got this set, I DIY HK milk tea at home and don’t crave for milk tea from Cha Chan Ten anymore. I also save lots of money by not buying HK milk tea outside… Always go back every few months to re-stock.“
“Why would you go to an overpriced Starbucks or Second Cup when you could visit this cute place?Inexpensive, very good coffee and food, cute and should be a must go at least once to see the difference between a "boutique" and an actual “
“Upon entering Oyatsumi Cafe, nestled in the heart of Markham's bustling district, one is immediately enveloped by an aura of tranquility that contrasts sharply with the outside world. The cafe's decor is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern minimalism, creating an inviting atmosphere that beckons you to stay a while longer. The menu, though concise, is a testament to the cafe's commitment to quality over quantity. Each item is crafted with meticulous care, from the hand-poured matcha lattes adorned with delicate art to the exquisite selection of wagashi that are almost too beautiful to eat. The standout, however, is their signature Oyatsumi Roll Cake - a sponge as light as air, filled with a subtly sweet cream that's infused with the finest matcha from Uji, Kyoto. But what truly sets Oyatsumi Cafe apart is the impeccable service. The staff attend to patrons with a level of hospitality that is both warm and respectful, embodying the spirit of omotenashi. It's this attention to detail and dedication to the guest experience that leaves a lasting impression. In a world where cafes often come and go, Oyatsumi stands as a timeless retreat. Whether you're seeking a quiet corner for reflection or a place to savor the simple joys of a well-brewed cup of tea, Oyatsumi Cafe is a destination that promises to be a cherished part of the Markham community for years to come.“
“Quaint little cafe tucked away within a residential area of Markham. Tried their Morta and Prosciutto baguette sandwich, Spanish latte and Sakura latte. Also tried their matcha cookie which I definitely recommend, wish they sold it in bulk. Was happy they had a lactose free milk option. Appreciate their latte art, really liked the Sakura smell and taste of the Sakura latte. The Spanish latte had a nice kick to it. Was able to sit here and chat with a friend for a few hours. Music and ambience is nice. Would come back here to chat, work or study. I'd love to see this place expand in size. In terms of service, you order and pay first and they bring it to your table. Staff are nice and friendly. They also have a selection of coffees and teas to bring home and brew yourself. *parking is not easy in this area, it's street parking only as this business is within a residential area.“
