“We arrived on time for 12:15pm res and still had to wait about like 10-15 min outside on the deck (gorgeous view btw, with the water mill and pond). But it was funny to see them turning ppl away constantly if they were just coming as walk-ins.The hostess seated us and a server came over to let us know the daily food and drink specials. The brunch tower seemed very intriguing to me but it sounded like A LOT of food and my girlfriend (even though hangry at that point) knew she wasn't gonna be able to help me tackle even half the tower haha. So we settled on duck confit pancakes and huevos rancheros.Ok, so the food comes out and I'm pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes. The plates were quite hefty and you get a good amount of food (which I appreciate cuz I've got a big appetite). The presentation looked fantastic. Looked like michelin star plating. The duck had crispy skin, succulent meat (they actually give you a whole duck leg whereas I've been to restos that literally give you the drumstick and that's it). The pancakes were moist and fluffy. The rancheros were packed with goodies. I liked the fact that they actually cooked the tater tots well (crispy on the outside and tender on the inside). A lot of places screw up the potatoes. It also comes with a lot of egg and pulled pork which we really appreciated. To top it all off, we had some fresh mango peach juice to wash it all down. Yum!It's cracking up into expensive territory for brunch for sure (but I've seen way more egregious pricing downtown). I still rate it a 5 star experience. Great food, great presentation, great service and still borderline ok on the prices. Probably the best brunch spot in the markham area if you ask me. It tops Alchemy Coffee brunch for me (which is literally in the same neighbourhood).I know they host weddings and special events too and I'm kinda curious. I might inquire about it sometime.“
“My recent visit to Swish Chalet left much to be desired. The chicken I ordered was disappointingly overcooked and burned, rendering it nearly inedible. The charred taste overshadowed any potential flavors, leaving me regretting my choice and questioning the quality of their kitchen. To add insult to injury, the prices at Swish Chalet were exorbitant for the lackluster meal I received. Paying a premium should warrant a satisfying dining experience, but unfortunately, the burnt chicken did not justify the steep cost.Equally disappointing was the lackluster customer service. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, providing minimal assistance and failing to address my concerns about the poorly prepared dish. The overall experience was marred by a lack of engagement and professionalism from the restaurant staff. In conclusion, my visit to Swish Chalet was marked by overpriced, burnt chicken and subpar customer service. I cannot recommend this establishment based on my disappointing*The manager of Swiss Chalet reached out to me, extending an invitation to revisit the restaurant. I went there on January 18th and noticed a significant improvement in the food quality during this visit. Basi, who took care of our order, was exceptional, adding to the positive experience.“
“I had such a good experience here. As soon as i stepped foot into this pub, i was greeted by Karen and I immediately felt welcome! She was very attentive to my needs and helped me and answered all my questions. Not to mention the food here is amazing. I ordered a classic cheese burger and i was not disappointed. If you’re in the area and are looking for a drink and a bite to eat. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!karen if you’re reading this KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!“
“Very nice service! Not the best for brunch if you want something special but for breakfast lovers (mostly egg lovers) here is the ideal. The service is quick and food good. Nothing fancy. Not special hot drinks, only hot chocolate, americano and tea. Forget the cappuccino types etc. But they will give you cream instead.Parking: Small for a busy day.“
“An excellent location for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner or even just drinks. Such a great warm and aged atmosphere, like walking into an English pub or an old steakhouse. The waitstaff are friendly, quick, and efficient, and the young gentleman that served me today deserves the utmost praise. I will certainly be back to enjoy this location’s delicious food and fantastic service. Highly recommend you check out this little hidden gem on Main St.Parking: There’s a lot of parking in the rear and some along the street. But to get the best experience, park down the street and walk scenic old Main St. to capture the eclectic yet small town vibe of this area.“
“This is a tiny hole in the wall. I’m not overly fond of their Chinese food, but their other offerings are spectacular. I would highly recommend the thick noodles ! I go for the chicken. I literally order five orders and then freeze it and use it for lunches for a long time . it is delicious. Huge sizes and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly. They always recognize me when I come in even though it’s 5-6 months between visits. Worth a visit. They do have tables inside but it’s not overly welcoming in terms of decor. Online orders are best.“
“This is a MUST GO TO Restaurant. I went for breakfast on March 20/23. My experience started with the best service from General Manager Gary Anthony. He was friendly, informative, and fast. The breakfast menu has everything. I love Eggs Bennie. While my style was not on the menu, Gary made it happen anyway. THE BEST EGGS BENNIE EVER! Gary recommended the Banana/Orange/Strawberry juice (it says fresh on the menu). I asked if it was "that grocery store brand" that shall not be named here. He said NO, we made it fresh from real fruit in the blender. It was like a smoothie from heaven. I will return often. While I live about 30 - 40 k from this restaurant (I had an appointment near it that morning) - I will be returning again and often. Next time I'm bringing my wife - She'll love it. Thank you Gary.“
“It was our first time coming to the restaurant, as well as the golf club in general. We had a reservation for 530pm but we arrived early. The host was able to accommodate us and brought us to the table immediately. The space of the restaurant wasn't as big as I imagined, with only 12 tables - 4 seaters. However, they had combined a few tables to transform to long tables in order to accommodate 2 big parties. Perhaps it was the holiday season, we weren't given any water or acknowledgments 30 minutes after we were seated. Given that we had ample time to study the menu, we knew what we wanted for the night - their winter set menus. Initially, the reason for the visit was that we won their contest on Instagram for dinner of 2 on their set menu B, however, we asked if we could upgrade to the menu C and pay the difference, which, they were able to accommodate our request. Their set menu each comes with a choice of appetizer, a main course, a dessert, a non-alcoholic beverage, AND coffee/ tea. The pan seared atlantic salmon was definitely a winner! Crispy on the skin, and the salmon was cooked perfectly with it being juicy and tender and very silky-smooth. The striploin was cooked just the way we asked - medium rare. The red velvet cake was a nice touch to finish off our evening, but the cream cheese frosting was a little bit sweet to our liking. Other than that, the cake itself was soft and moist. The price of the set menu is tax and tips included, which is very budget friendly with the amount and level of food you get.“
“Excellent Mr Sub , franchise. The owner takes pride in a clean and welcoming restaurant. Ingredients are fresh . Staff is helpful . Every time I visit always have excellent customer service . Craving a sub / sandwich in markham , this place is a definite go.“
“Place is good. Food is good and has lotsa options. Theyve got these daily specials look out for them. Its surprisingly cheap too, and they have mostly all the drinks on the menu.We love to come here as a family. Food is fresh and good! Great place to bring ur friends and to have drinks n food.“
“Harold the manager is fantastic to chat with. He does an amazing job running the restaurant. The waiters and kitchen always do a great job. Highly recommend lobster sandwiches, steak frites and salmon. Brunch is also very good and kid friendly. Prices are reasonable for quality and service you receive. Lovely atmosphere with clean space and high ceilings.“
“My first time at this Milestones was quite enjoyable. Our server was excellent and the food was very good. We were near the back of the restaurant so the noise level was minimal. My only complaint was the price of a glass of wine. I think $15 for a glass of wine was a bit steep, however, I would certainly go back to Milestones again.“
“We were treated like Kings right from the get go with Champagne right at the check in while we waited for our table. The restaurant was busy but with such a great space it didn't feel crowded. The table was very comfortable and the service was excellent. Always looking to see if we needed anything. The food presentation and taste were excellent. You get a feeling of the restaurant having a feeling of ritziness but yet casual. This restaurant is highly recommended.“
“Ordered $1 pancake special today - Feb 13. First time to this restaurant at Markham Road. Restaurant is big and nice and new. Staffs are welcoming. I only ordered take out pancakes! I brought my own container for the pancakes! Kids said the pancakes taste very good! Next time will bring my kids to dine in here for breakfast ??“
“We were at the hotel for a couple of days for a conference. Junior suite room, clean, comfortable, with a good view on lake. I would like to note the staff, especially the waiters who served at dinner in the conference room and during the Gala dinner, everyone was attentive and friendly, especially Turkish girl waiter (sorry, i don’t remember her name), she was very polite. The entertainment team at the Gala dinner was awesome.“
