“Came on a Wednesday night as a walk in (was not allowed to make reservations on the phone between 6-7pm for some reason, and as a result we were told we had to return the table after just under 2 hours). Beautiful little spot, acoustics were great and a little loud (but not in a terrible Toronto way). Decor was very cosy and comfortable and the atmosphere was warm. Food was presented picture perfect, tasted great, skills of the culinary team was very creative and slightly avant garde. Cocktails were done very well. However when we asked for new plates and cutlery we were given new roll ups which just cluttered the small table, could have just received the basic necessities as requested.“

I've been going here for years and now they have the best smash and banquet burgers in the city that no one is talking about (thank goodness)! Also has fantastic vegetarian (and vegan) options for my veg friends and they rave about the selection and quality. This spot is a staple for us pre- and post-game (some nights), too, and have celebrated a handful of family birthdays here, so very kid and family friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.“

“This is one in the handful of favourite cafes in Toronto.The things I like about it:1. I find the staff really approachable. I've had good conversations with almost all of them, just by virtue of sitting at the bar as I drink coffee. I've had rich conversations with all of them, about whatever our shared interests are, or whatever is important to them. I always learn something.2. The coffee is very good, both in terms of the amount and quality and variety of roasts (which are De Mello, Subtext and Nile) currently. I've always talked shop with them, and they knows their stuff, and are enthusiastic about it.3. A big thing that draws me to a cafe is music, and they are always playing stuff I pull out my phone for to find out what it is. The vibe is great for working, and for chilling. I'm not really sure if each person who works on a particular day chooses their own music, but it feels like there's enough of a person-specific vibe, which I always enjoy no matter who is in.4. The customers tend to be friendly. Whenever I'm in, if there's a conversation going on, often the staff are involved if it's at the bar and they aren't busy, and it hasn't been very hard for me to participate if I find it interesting.Some days the place is quiet and chill, other days the place is sociable, and it always fits.If you like dogs, this place is very dog friendly, and a lot of the dogs are super sociable, gentle, and friendly, slowly coming up to you and enjoying whatever pets you give them.I especially love the donuts, cream cheese bagel things, and tiramisu.“

Intricate flavour combinations and visually appealing dishes bring your experience to another level.4 of my girlfriends and I enjoyed the canapé tasting menu. We started from the top and went right to the end - I ordered extra of the pork jowl. We tacked on the soufflé as well - divine. We were comfortably full after the meal and each one of us had a different favourite, for a different reason.The menu is so artfully created and you can tell from the flavours and execution that each member working there takes great pride in what they do.The cocktails were also delicious and prepared by a competition winning “bartender” (probably called something way more elaborate but I’m a simpleton haha) I may add!This is a perfect spot for an upscale night out with friends, date, business meeting - what have you.I am looking forward to returning in the future and seeing what the chef’s (especially the pastry chef) come up with!“

“I've been coming here for years and it's my go to date spot. The place has the cutest back rooms with nice atmosphere/creative seating (couches, loungers, nooks and crannies). You order via QR code (and pay on your phone so when you're done there is no waiting around for the bill to come). The drinks also come *so* fast after you put the orders in. Overall very reasonable prices for wine bottles, with good/interesting selection. The owner/manager (Glenn, I think?) is a total sweetheart.The Karaoke events here do mean that if you're coming here as a regular bar patron, occasionally there is some noise and sometimes the place gets crowded and not all of the rooms are available for bar seating/the remaining seating in the back is taken up. Something to keep in mind and probably a good idea to call ahead if you have a bigger group and/or want to make sure to get a seat in the back.“

Last night 10/28/2023 we came back just for some drinks around 11 and sat at the bar. The service was excellent, but it also helped that it wasn't so busy yet (it seemed quite busy for the one server when we left just after 1700h).We got the Spicy House Sausage pizza and the Mushroom pizza. We appreciated that there were also chilli flakes and chilli oil to add at the table as well.We split a tiramisu for dessert. My partner (who is Italian) said that it's the best tiramisu he's had at a restaurant. The chicken breast was also delicious and different.J is an amazing woman and the staff was kind and their customer service was next level ( their service and hospitality made me write this review) as my brother lost his driving license and when we called them back to check if they found something they informed us about a card found in the washroom.
