“I went there last night and they were closing in 20 minutes and had turned off their fryers. They were so kind and still took my order and prepared me some delicious chicken. I manage businesses and I know what it feels like when someone shows up fifteen minutes before closing to get food. Great people and great food. “Tonight I had Daddy’s chicken sandwich and give it a solid 4.5 out of 5. First of all, the bun … while not perfect it is the best I’ve for any other chicken sandwich. The bun got soggy and fell apart half way through eating. I think it would hold together better if it was toasted. The toppings were very good. I’ve never thought that pickles with chicken would be any good. But it works. For the chicken I chose spicy dark meat - a boneless thigh. Hot and crispy. And big. It hung over the sides of the bun (this isn’t a complaint). The bun to meat to topping ratio was about as good as it gets. I will definitely order again.“

“Let me start this off with, I don’t eat a lot of spicy food. When they say Dave’s Hot Chicken… they mean HOT. I will gladly burn my tastebuds again to eat their chicken tenders. I ordered through DoorDash as I was really craving chicken tenders, and got the spice level as “lite mild” — my mouth is tingling still as I write this, but I will definitely order them this way again. The flavour is amazing and not too over powering, tenders are soo juicy and the dipping sauce compliments it perfectly. The only reason why I docked a star is not because of the the heat level — was because online it said it came with sliced pickles which I thought would have complimented the heat and flavour perfectly and I never received them. Overall, I highly recommend if you can handle the heat!“

I like that the meals are priced right for the portion. I really enjoyed the golden crispy fries, and also the macaroni salad. I didn't enjoy the Homemade Butter Biscuit, it felt more like bread that was steamed, but otherwise tasted okay. I was looking for more of a tea biscuit texture. The chicken skin was very salty, but the chicken was ok (for the white meat), but as for the dark meat I didn't really enjoy it as if felt a little bit under cooked.“
