“This place has the best sushi - it has the thickest slices of salmon and everything is high quality. It might not be the cheapest place but it's 100% worth it for the quality and thickness of the cuts of fish on the nigiri you're getting. I've been getting sushi platters along with tempura here for the past several years and we've had it for birthdays and celebrations and enjoyed it every time. Highly recommend. 10/10.“

“My staples are the specialty rolls, such as the rocky mountain, kamikaze and volcano. Rainbow, spicy tuna and yam are also good options.Always make it a habit to come here as often as I can when I'm in the area. There is no place to sit down so it is just a takeout or delivery. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly.Parking: There's room for about 6 cars directly in front of the restaurant. I've never had a problem on weekends finding a spot during the afternoon.“

We had the Omakase with Choya plum wine and Asahi beer.Each dish was made to perfection, the sushi fish was fresh and paired with warm, perfectly seasoned rice. We were able to watch Chef Masayuki expertly prepare each piece of fish. (the kind with pieces laid on top of a small ball of rice) had half pieces of the fish on them. The sashimi was also presented with half pieces. I can understand this as a way of reducing waste, but it does make the pieces less attractive.Overall I'm full and satisfied. “First trip in our new neighbourhood to Koi . Service was excellent, very hospitable server. 5.5 out of 5 for service, thank you Ayla. We both had the Fertiliy Greens Salad with a chicken breast add on for me. I would rate it a 5 except they did not have the quail egg available so 4.9. Presentation of food was a 5 out of 5. The chicken breast was nicely warmed and a great contrast to the cool salad. Although a few minutes late for the drink special they honoured that for us, a very hospitable decision. Dinner music was upbeat and not intrusive. A definite place to return to. Overall a defiite 5.“

“Very authentic Japanese style restaurant. The atmosphere is great, very traditional Japanese decor. Service is great. Just like any 5 stars Michelin restaurants, they take the time to tell you what each type of fish is when they serve you the sashimi platter. We went for early dinner, when there is not many people in the restaurant, but the lady is very attentive that she keep looking out to see if we need anything.“

“I came here last night with my boyfriend. We were walking around downtown hamilton and wanted to try out a new place and we came here because the menu looked incredible and also we were curious about the "rude staff" that other reviews claimed. The staff was soooo friendly and cute! Just be a good person and enjoy the food! They had great service, the atmosphere in the dining area was incredibly comfortable and the staff was helpful and patient. I wanted to try their Volcano ramen and two of their staff kept warning me that it was extremely spicy and when I got it, they did not lie LOOLL. If they claim something on their menu is spicy, they MEAN IT unlike other restaurants which disappoints you with mildly spicy food. Food was delicious, portions were great, and their milk teas had actual tea bags in them and it was good. They weren't busy so our food came quickly and they checked up on us a few times offering water. The restaurant also provides board games for customers and you can stay as long as you want to hang out. We stayed for 2 hours and it was amazing. We will definitely come back! Sushi is such high quality, I have a hard time getting sushi anywhere else because the taste doesn’t even compare. My personal favourite dish is their salmon dinner, but I also love their teriyaki dishes. “This is extremely underrated. Living in burlington for a good 20+ something years I have never been and I was missing out. Friendly service as soon as you walk in the door. HUGE selection of Japanese and Korean meals. The miso soup they brought at the start was the BEST miso soup I have ever had, I licked that bowl clean. The presentation is A1, recommend getting that Phan Chan set to start(3 side dishes we go kimchi, sprouts and cucumber) my partner's winter set looked and tasted amazing. I had the Eel Donburi, and that eel was so tender I was cutting it just by gently picking it up. Great atmosphere, love the look and feel and they have semi private rooms! Will definitely be back and try the sushi next time; We saw some coming out and suffered a little fomo. If you haven't been here you need to give it a go.“

“Stopped in here, craving a Won Ton soup, didn’t realize they made it here. They have a small size and a regular size. Had 1 small Won Ton soup, took a bit to prepare and the servers were nice of them to tell me to sit down (while they got it prepared) When the soup was ready, I picked it up at the counter. The soup was very good, nice and hot, with small wonton noodles (with a meat filling) tasted like a seasoned pork. Soup had pieces of broccoli throughout it, and broth was a bit salty (but tolerable) could taste the spices, ginger root and garlic added in. Tasty broth, I added pepper for taste no soya sauce. The larger dishes look good also, but they have rices, spring rolls, teriyaki dishes. I’ll have to try, cooked right in front of you (with fresh ingredients) and placed steaming hot into the container (all ready to eat in food court or take home).“
