“Wonderful food, fantastic interior, and great location--on Northfield, between Bridge and University. Also a community-minded business. A must-visit establishment. Dog-friendly for well-behaved dogs on leashes. (I'm not a dog person, and I didn't feel nervous for a second.)“
“I ordered a fruit cake with strawberries and mango for my moms birthday and it was so delicious. The perfect amount of sweetness and the cake was nice and moist with delicious cream in and around it. I would highly recommend this cake to anyone!“
“I would give a 5 star. Because the bagels are great I actually like them I order them delivery all the time as well. And I’m not going to slam the business as I know it’s not easy without constructive criticism. The only and I mean only issue is the wait times. Today it took 25 mins for when I ordered to when I got my bagel. Not a sandwich, just a toasted bagel. I can’t understand the wait times. But keep up the good work on the food.“
“My tiramisu cake was so delicious and fluffy! Bellissima did a wonderful job making my birthday cake so special. The chocolate pieces on top really put the icing on top (quite literally). Definitely will come here again for any other desserts.“
“I had these amazing apple fritters for the first time about 7 years ago on our first visit. Had to have them again for the second time last week on Thursday August 11th 2016. Had them with ice cream and maple syrup. Sure wish you could ship, your favourite customers in New Brunswick!“
“My son and I went to Cobs for a treat and when we were greeted by friendly voices we started to decide what to get as there are so many options. My son saw the chocolate scone and wanted it right away as he should. The lovely Sophia made his day and showed both of us that there are still good people in this world by saying his scone was her treat. I was blown away by her kindness. Aside from the amazing products, the service is clearly was fantastic. Thank you Sophia!“
“Q’s cakes made two beautiful cakes to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday and my grand daughter’s 5th birthday! The cakes tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this bakery! Thank you for helping to make these birthday celebrations incredibly special.“
“Pretty small spot for bubble tea but it's one of those commercial stalls under an apartment complex. Pretty aesthetic inside with an all white theme and there's a claw machine game inside. They serve cakes as well but I haven't tried them yet. Definitely something that I need to try next time because I've heard a lot of good things about them. Service was nice and fast and I would recommend the Mochi Milk Tea because it's such a good combination with the smooth mochi.“
“Great spot with fantastic and friendly staff. Sometimes it can be a little busy, but what should one expect with a place so nice? :)Parking: If the road isn’t free just across the street, behind the LCBO, is a 2hr free lot that usually has availability!“
“Incredible selection of pastries. I’ve absolutely loved almost everything I’ve gotten.Highlights have been the cream bun, almond croissant, regular croissant, both the chocolate chunk and ginger cookie, vanilla meringue and orange flower brioche.Great French bread loafs, I find their baguettes to be pretty hard though. Coffee is decent too.“
“Went here today on a rush visit to the store and the girl who served us was amazing. She went above and beyond to make our experience perfect! She even recommended something to save me money which is always a plus especially in these times!! Also the cinnamon buns from here are always yummy! We will definitely be back!“
“I just wanted to say thank you!! The carrot cake was amazing. This cake was gluten-free. Dairy free. And egg free. Everyone loved it. Even the ones who were “what we are eating that too”. How you keep it so moist is magic. Thank you for perfecting allergy baking!! No one would know the difference.“
“With my sister and her husband new to the neighbourhood, we googled coffee shops near by and came across this delightful place. Very clean, fresh flowers in each table!!, inviting staff and atmosphere, and the food and coffee were great! We’ll be back!“
“Grampa's Pretzels inside Peddler's Village is an absolute must-try when you're at the St Jacobs Market! Even if you're not typically a pretzel enthusiast, this place will convert you. While you won't find any actual grandpas on site, what you will discover is a team of three generations of skilled women meticulously crafting the ultimate soft pretzels right before your eyes. From shaping the dough to the boiling and baking process, it's a mesmerizing experience. Be prepared to wait in line for about 20 minutes to place your order, but trust me, it's worth it. Grampa's offers options, including sugar cinnamon and the classic butter and salt. They even provide a side package of mustard if that's your preference. What sets these pretzels apart is their perfect soft chewiness, unlike the typical hard, snack-type pretzels you might be used to. And they don't skimp on portions here - you'll receive a generous serving. Most patrons don't settle for just one; it's common to see people buying multiple pretzels. So, if you find yourself in line, embrace the opportunity to get a few more of these treats! Grab a beer from TWB across from it to complement that pretzel. As many shops in this area, it's just a counter but there's a few spots to sit inside the Peddler's Village and also outdoor patio seating.“
“We go to St Jacobs Market for lunch once a week and always get desserts here - we can’t help ourselves! They are so so good - absolute indulgence without the heaviness or discomfort as I have a sensitivity to dairy. You wouldn’t even know they were gf/df they are so tasty! I am also surprised every time - there is always something new as well so the selection is amazing.“
“Recommended: I didn't taste anything, but everything looked lovely. The prices seemed a bit high, but it was a private store not a chain. There were multiple options for gluten-free. The pastries and baked goods looked delicious. The store employee was quite friendly and helpful. They carried multiple brands of products from other gluten-free companies, organic options and health related issues. I would return to try them.“
“A cute little bakery with some delicious options. They did also have a small gluten free selection (but not certified). We tried the caramel eclair, berry tart, alcoholic mint truffle, and the poppyseed apple. All were delicious!Dietary restrictions: Some gluten free options, but not certifiedParking: Parking lot across the street, free for 2 hours. Many spacesWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, big open door“
“I got 6 croissants and garlic bites.Chicken cheese: it was not for me, it was a bit too sweet and just not great overall.Caramel almond: I feel something is a bit off, maybe the filling but overall nice, especially the croissant.Raspberry Pana cotta: some bites were good but some bites were bad, the filling was not for me but the croissant is nice.Chocolate banana: had nice filling, a lovely croissant it's absolutely delicious and great with the bananas on top, my favourite item and probably one of the best croissants I've ever had.Strawberry: the croissant was pretty good but a bit overdone tasting and textured, in my opinion but good with the strawberries on top.Garlic bites: I did not like the texture of the croissant nor the flavour of the garlic spread it was oddly sweet, my least favourite item.I'd go again just for the chocolate banana croissant alone.“
