Everything arrived on time, hot and great amount of food for around the 20 people we had. Not a single complaint was heard. Everyone enjoyed the food and went back for seconds. The chicken was juicy, potatoes and rice were very tasty and hot, the salad was soo fresh! Would recommend to anyone I know 100x over. “A high end restaurant around here used to be a business casual dress code, featured a lightly seasoned steak, a prime rib dinner, a dynamite caesar salad, a pasta dish, a seafood dish a few other signatures with an extensive wine list. All the food was made from quality ingredients, expertly prepared and the service was professional and caring. All of this is still expected in high end dining but one thing I felt was absent for a while was originality. I still fancy the local favourites but it was hard to find something unfamiliar. In the last decade, Waterloo has been invaded with delightfully unique higher end dining ventures. Steaks served with aggressive and colourful sauces. First course flavour explosions served out of a micro spoon. Exotic treasures from the sea like octopus or blow torched fish instead of grilled. The palate of the Kitchener-Waterloo region is expanding and in my opinion, for the better. The latest addition to our fine dining core is Babylon Sisters, a wine bar where simplicity done well is taken seriously, like a tuxedo. A black and white colour scheme, accented by silver, button bound leather bar stools softly lit by candle light. The Art Deco ambience is quietly stated above the sight lines. The long narrow venue is subtly divided into a bar, to a high top seated dining room and then into a retro 70’s high back vinyl booth seating area. The patio is vibrant, connected to adjacent venues. It’s very southern U.S. or Caribbean in it’s street social vibe. The two menus consist of two things: One is Wine. One is food to compliment the wine. It’s a bold statement to start your wine menu off in Canada with Ontario wines if you want to be recognized as a wine bar. Too often Ontario wine is poo pooed but to me, it just tells me whoever does the menu here has taste because Ontario has world wide award winning wines. Beyond the local selections, lots of old world wines, not the usual's you see on menus in town and offered in three ounce portions. A great concept to anyone who desires the variety of different wine flavours but doesn’t want to spend a fortune on higher end wine. Not to mention doesn’t want to drink two bottles worth of wine just to get variety. I went with the classic accompaniments with my wines, olives and cheese. A great mix of pitted olives. Queens, kalamata and cocktails, oiled up with a garlic clove. They were salty, fresh and firm. The cheese was a mix of brie, camembert and blue. I thought it was going to be mild, mild and explosive blue cheese but alas, the camembert and brie were far from mild. Normally I find those cheeses bland but they were carefully selected and well prepared. The camembert was woody and earthy. The Brie was almost whipped. The texture of the cheeses when topped on the bread turned the chewy bread into a supple ball of joy. When mixed with either the honey preserve or onion butter it was out of this world. The combination of the olives, cheese, pastes, wine and ambience was nothing like anything else in town. Oddly, across the street I could see Streetlights, another newer venue in town. A fruity coloured place that lives where Chainsaw used to be and it’s something, again, unfamiliar. All of this felt like an escape. I went in and out of Babylon Sisters expecting a nice drink but instead felt like I had a vacation. This is what I always want from a venue. Something unique. Something to take the rest of my day away so I can just enjoy the moment. Hats off to this brilliant new place.”

“The aesthetic of this place is super nice and clean. Our waitress was super attentive, energetic, and very accommodating to our needs! We came to have pasta here, not the best taste ever, would probably recommend other items on the menu. Their drink options are very unique too! Not to mention they also have pasta deals on Thursday! “Our family enjoyed our lunch at Rosel's. The food was fresh and flavourful and Rosel was so kind and welcoming. She seems to be both an expert chef and business owner. We ordered the Merienda platter which was just right for our family of five with the addition of some banana fritters and Turon for dessert. I'd also highly recommend the refreshing pineapple soda that was on tap the day we visited. We will be definitely be back and have already recommended Rosel's to our friends. Can't wait to try some of the other dishes!”

Staff were very welcoming and were happy to extend the 10,30 breakfast hours to accommodate me and a friend with the breakfast menu.Coffee was hot and eggs were prepared exactly as we ordered them. The 'supervisor' from last night did report the incident to the manager and when I went in today the shift manager I spoke to bent over backwards to make this right for me. She said she just needed to see the proof that the money came out of my account, which of course i provided for her. It was the same proof that i showed the person from last night, my banking app that clearly showed a deduction of $20.53 from my account, paid to Tim Hortons. We settled on having the money put on a giftcard that I can load to my app for future use. I am an almost daily visitor to Tim Hortons. I have never had a customer service issue so it shocked me. Today's customer service was above reproach so I am amending my review to 5 stars from 1. Thank you to Tim Hortons staff for making it right today. $20 may not seem like much, but for this senior living on a fixed income, $20 is a big deal!!Visited the drive thru at the location closest to Costco Waterloo, Friday March 22/24 at 7:35pm. I ordered a small ice capp, a large ice capp and a sweet chili loaded bowl. The total came to $20.53.I got to the window, checked to see that my scan and pay was activated on my phone and the person scanning said, how will you be paying. I informed her that I had used scan and pay, rechecked to make sure the scan and pay was toggled to 'on'... it was. She said it didn't go through. I said, let me check my banking app to make sure the payment didn't go through and the payment had indeed gone through and my bank account was debited $20.53. I showed her my bank app screen and told her it did go through, as evidenced by the debit of the exact amount of the order with the item line reading, "TIM HORTONS #76_V". She argued that my Tim Hortons app was not working and the scan and pay did not work because it didn't show up on her terminal. I responded by saying the problem is not on my end because VERY CLEARLY, the scan and pay DID work as the exact amount was debited from my account. She had scanned the code on my phone app and the payment was instantly deducted from my visa debit... = a successful SCAN AND PAY!!I asked to speak to a manager and she said there was no manager, that she was the supervisor and there was nothing she could do. I again showed her my phone banking app and we continued to bounce back and forth. She asked me what I wanted her to do and I said to give me the order I clearly paid for. Her response, "I can't do that. It is not showing on my screen. Your Tim Hortons app is the problem". I told her the app worked fine, that it is her terminal that is the issue and she said no, there is no issue with her terminal, it is my app... you know, the app that same app that successfully scanned the code and successfully deducted the exact payment from my bank account!She said there was nothing she could do. Too bad for me. She didn't apologize. She didn't give me a number to call. Worst customer service I have ever encountered at Tim Hortons... and you have her working as a supervisor!! Nice one!! I will be visiting the store on Saturday March 23rd to speak to a real manager because your evening supervisor is completely incompetent.I'm not sure if this will show up on an end of shift reconciliation of the drive thru till, but your numbers will be off by $20.53 because you took my money and didn't produce an order.”

We were well fed( fries are to die for and its rare to find a place that serves fresh cut fries!) And our souls were well fed too! The 'supervisor' from last night did report the incident to the manager and when I went in today the shift manager I spoke to bent over backwards to make this right for me. She said she just needed to see the proof that the money came out of my account, which of course i provided for her. It was the same proof that i showed the person from last night, my banking app that clearly showed a deduction of $20.53 from my account, paid to Tim Hortons. We settled on having the money put on a giftcard that I can load to my app for future use. I am an almost daily visitor to Tim Hortons. I have never had a customer service issue so it shocked me. Today's customer service was above reproach so I am amending my review to 5 stars from 1. Thank you to Tim Hortons staff for making it right today. $20 may not seem like much, but for this senior living on a fixed income, $20 is a big deal!!Visited the drive thru at the location closest to Costco Waterloo, Friday March 22/24 at 7:35pm. I ordered a small ice capp, a large ice capp and a sweet chili loaded bowl. The total came to $20.53.I got to the window, checked to see that my scan and pay was activated on my phone and the person scanning said, how will you be paying. I informed her that I had used scan and pay, rechecked to make sure the scan and pay was toggled to 'on'... it was. She said it didn't go through. I said, let me check my banking app to make sure the payment didn't go through and the payment had indeed gone through and my bank account was debited $20.53. I showed her my bank app screen and told her it did go through, as evidenced by the debit of the exact amount of the order with the item line reading, "TIM HORTONS #76_V". She argued that my Tim Hortons app was not working and the scan and pay did not work because it didn't show up on her terminal. I responded by saying the problem is not on my end because VERY CLEARLY, the scan and pay DID work as the exact amount was debited from my account. She had scanned the code on my phone app and the payment was instantly deducted from my visa debit... = a successful SCAN AND PAY!!I asked to speak to a manager and she said there was no manager, that she was the supervisor and there was nothing she could do. I again showed her my phone banking app and we continued to bounce back and forth. She asked me what I wanted her to do and I said to give me the order I clearly paid for. Her response, "I can't do that. It is not showing on my screen. Your Tim Hortons app is the problem". I told her the app worked fine, that it is her terminal that is the issue and she said no, there is no issue with her terminal, it is my app... you know, the app that same app that successfully scanned the code and successfully deducted the exact payment from my bank account!She said there was nothing she could do. Too bad for me. She didn't apologize. She didn't give me a number to call. Worst customer service I have ever encountered at Tim Hortons... and you have her working as a supervisor!! Nice one!! I will be visiting the store on Saturday March 23rd to speak to a real manager because your evening supervisor is completely incompetent.I'm not sure if this will show up on an end of shift reconciliation of the drive thru till, but your numbers will be off by $20.53 because you took my money and didn't produce an order.”

“I remember when I first had Church's Chicken. I was young, naïve, and just looking for a place to eat. The chicken was juicy and pretty good on its own, but not the best chicken I ever had. I still look back on these days with nostalgia - the days before my life changed forever. I sincerely give a heartfelt and sincere warning to all those who are looking for a place to eat: beware of this place. There is something in the food, something in the air, something somewhere, which makes repeated consumption of Church's Chicken lead to an inescapable Church's hell. I have not eaten anything except Church's Chicken for 6 months now. I can't even satisfy my girlfriend anymore because nothing does it for me except Church's scrumptious chicken. I think about the chicken on the bus, at the mall, in the movie theatre, at work, during exams, and even in my dreams. Church's Chicken has a suffocating stranglehold of my entire life. I have taken out loans and accepted money from people under the pretense of paying rent, when in reality I just needed more funds for my Church's Chicken addiction. 12/10, do not try this place if you want to retain your sanity.”

Garlic bread doesn’t actually seem like a garlic bread that we used to get at other places. But over it was good. The location is in a busy plaza, so plan accordingly.”
