The breads were to die for (which I might if I don’t get home to my probiotics soon enough ;). Brenda is exhibiting a giddiness reminiscent of a 6 year old in a candy store. “Barry's is the only Jewish deli in town. They make a great matzo ball soup (extremely dense matzo balls if that is what you prefer) and Hungarian mushroom soup! They have a lot of delicious baked goods, including items like hamantaschen, bialys, and varying types of rugelach among a sea of other choices. The service isn't very warm and the seating area itself leaves a lot to be desired but I think it's mostly on par for what you'd expect at an order at the counter deli.“

“We love bakeries and this place was one of the nicest we have seen while traveling. Huge selection of high end pastries and cakes with reasonable prices. Walked out with three delicious looking items. Place were very busy as it is a local favorite. So goo we may head back in the morning for some blueberry cheesecake a some tarts. A definite winner.“

I will say technically the specifics of the flavors weren't precisely what I ordered BUT I had emphasized that we trust her and she could do whatever she wanted and I think what she did was tastier than what I had originally asked for. I would just state very clearly what flavors you want for ice cream, frosting, cake, and toppings if you are picky about those things.I have zero complaints. “Incredible bread and more! This is the real deal and so welcome in Springfield. I’m somewhat of a bread snob and a harsh critic. This is some of the best crusty, chewy bread I’ve had this side of Italy. You can tell that the baker/owner, Tony, puts love into his work.“

“This place serves excellent quality cakes and coffee. Tiramisu was a proper one, like what I used to eat in Italy. Fantastic chocolate mouse cake and carrot cake sandwich. Not overpoweringly sweet, but perfect. This place was great. Would highly recommend!“

“Went on an outing to this lovely little shop. Keep in mind with as lovely as the food is the seating is outside and food is packaged to go. So there are canopies and tables to sit at though outside. So keep weather in your plans but do plan on trying their cheesecake of the month fla“

“Yelp took us here, and it's worth the high rating. First, the baristas are great. Helpful, friendly, and aim to please. I had a turmeric latte (I can never remember the proper name on this drink), which was excellent and made with care. We were there in the early afternoon, and mocha s ones that were wonderful. The store itself is very interesting. It looks like the baked goods are made onsite. There is an appealing selection of groceries. It is quiet and comfortable. A great find.“

“Every time my wife and I go to this coffee stand McKaley has waited on us. She is FANTASTIC! Every time, she delivers service with a smile, the order is hot, and made swiftly. We even drove up one evening just as she was closing. She still made the time to help us without making us feel rushed, or that we were inconveniencing her. She is truly a remarkable Barista, who wil prepare your order efficiently. I sincerely hope the owners give McKaley a raise, as she is truly a KEY employee! They make an excellent hot chocolate, and also offer Bagels with Cream Cheese, cookies, muffins, custom made donuts, and more. Do yourself a favor, and check this place out! You will not be disappointed!“

“I enjoyed coming to Hideaway bakery! I love the ambiance of this spot. Awesome outdoor seating and picnic tables in the sun. Also some indoor seating as well. Wide selection of breads, pastries, and desserts. I really enjoyed the coffee here too. They have a breakfast and lunch menu. Does get crowded on weekends. Would recommend.“

“I hate being the one that gives a bad review but we ate here today and can't say we got good food. I ordered pumpkin pancakes and 4 pieces of bacon. The bacon arrived cold, like it had been precooked sometime before and then just left sitting out. The pumpkin pancakes had a really strange almost bitter after taste. My brother in law had chocolate chip pancakes and also noticed the same after taste. My husband then had a taste of both. it wasn't until we drove we away that we all realized the same off taste. Not sure if it was a bad day in the kitchen. On the positive side my husband had oatmeal and said it was very good.“

“We don’t purchase a lot of baked goods but I’ve purchased my husband’s birthday dessert two years in a row from Cookie Conscious and both have been AMaZIng!!! We just got a banana creme pie and OMG- it was soooo delicious. Everyone raved. It was absolutely beautiful- I’d show you, but we ate it too fast! Jennifer is a dream to work with- she responds quickly and is super accommodating and just a really wonderful human being. And walking into that place- omg...her coffee cake was baking and it smelled incredible. Highly recommend Cookie Conscious Bakery!!!!“

“This place is amazing. They've been in business for quite some time. I went into buy a bread, and came out with bread and cake, lots of cake. Couldn't wait to get home to taste them all. OMG. unbelievable. These are true old-world bakers. I'm now a regular. It's pretty busy and a bit slow but we'll worth the wait.“
