“Went there tonight for my birthday and for the first time. The ambiance: amazing! Went with the family and it’s so cozy in there! The service: super attentive. Our server was very knowledgeable about every part of the menu and explained it thoroughly. Really cool pronunciation of all the menu items (I butchered everything 😂) The food: OMG, the food! We shared a margherita pizza and a seasonal polenta appetizer —it was fresh and amazing. I had the seasonal mushroom ravioli with a truffle cream sauce. My partner had the squid ink pasta. His parents each had one of the chicken dishes. We then shared two chocolate forward desserts. We left stuffed and happy. Our server kept apologizing for the speed of service but we were very happy to just chill out and visit and enjoy it all. My partner and I look forward to returning and enjoying this establishment again as a couple. I highly recommend it!”

You’ll definitely have to wash your hair to get the stink out. Worth it though.”

“Oh my god... the poutine!!! My first time.. and yes, a die and go to heaven moment. Fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds! We just ate at Falling Sky Brewing I had the most luscious cubano! With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.”

This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. The staff and especially owners are friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. It has never been crowded when I've been there. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are all delicious. My favorites are the abalone porridge, seafood jeon, grilled mackerel, and my husband loves the galbitang. It makes my week every time I go there. 🥰”

And I don't even really like pickles but the man makes his own pickles and they pair amazingly well with the burger. You can taste the love and care he puts into the food and super nice. I live wayyyyy out in the country and it's almost a 30 minute drive for me to get to his place and he was so thoughtful and mentioned that next time to let him know to hold off 20 minutes after I order so my food would be hot and fresh when I got there and that in itself would of been enough for me to return in the fact that he cared enough to want to make sure my food is fresh, which may I say is a rarity in customer service. If you haven't tried and all the other 100+ reviews weren't enough for you to want to give this man your business then let me add onto the list of people who highly recommend this place. It's so rare these days to find a place who actually gives a flip about what they're serving and he definitely most definitely does. I'll be making the hour round trip again in the near future just to get me a burger. PS.. you can taste the high quality of meat he uses, it's not a slop shop by any means and when I was picking up my food he was slicing potatoes for the fries and man again it's so worth it. Had the fried cod, and all I can say is “you gotta try it.” Light crispy crunchy batter, perfectly cooked, flaky fish. Even the tartar sauce is worth writing home about. And it won’t break the bank. 2 large filets, and an ample serving of fries served with malt vinegar. All for $18.00, I’ve paid 30 to 35, for less, and nowhere near as good. While you’re at it, the salmon spread, and the salmon ceviche. Sooo goood!!!”

First time I got the Bibimbap with beef bulgogi it was incredibly delicious, second time I brought my mom and we got the all you can eat bbq as expected everything was delicious and great quality. My mom had never had Kbbq before and was impressed with the food. I highly recomend Kkoki's to anyone who would like to try kbbq.”

I would have used it sooner, but I ended up with Cancer and was unable to use it. Also nowhere does it state on the receipt or card there is an expiration. The hostess was so kind and actually said she would ask the owner where the original payment went, she called me moments after leaving and said she was told "they just keep the money" I would not recommend purchasing gift cards from this establishment”

I made 10:00 reservations. We got there a little early so the waiter asked us to sit down and they’d be with us shortly. After about a 12 minute wait the same waiter came up to us and asked if we had been helped. I said yes we were waiting for you to seat us. He had forgotten us. We ordered coffee from a waitress. Twenty minutes later and no coffee we grabbed another waitress and asked her to get us coffee. Instead of being offered refills on coffee we had to ask for it. Needless to say we were very disappointed in the service. On the other hand the food was very good. Unfortunately good food alone does not make the best experience. Don’t know if we’ll be back. All but the service was great. 😓”

Just the right amount of curiosity is given to try something new, meanwhile the comfortability to stick with the memories of pizza pastimes. The U of O track memorabilia transports you back to a time where the crowd at Hayward Field was jubilantly egging on the unstoppable “Pre”. We chose the whole wheat crust for the “Olympian” pie. The sturdy crunch behind each bite held well with just the perfect pull of freshly grated cheese. Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in quite sometime. “Went there tonight for my birthday and for the first time. The ambiance: amazing! Went with the family and it’s so cozy in there! The service: super attentive. Our server was very knowledgeable about every part of the menu and explained it thoroughly. Really cool pronunciation of all the menu items (I butchered everything 😂) The food: OMG, the food! We shared a margherita pizza and a seasonal polenta appetizer —it was fresh and amazing. I had the seasonal mushroom ravioli with a truffle cream sauce. My partner had the squid ink pasta. His parents each had one of the chicken dishes. We then shared two chocolate forward desserts. We left stuffed and happy. Our server kept apologizing for the speed of service but we were very happy to just chill out and visit and enjoy it all. My partner and I look forward to returning and enjoying this establishment again as a couple. I highly recommend it!”
