We had the black garlic bread, which was to die for, jojo’s and the pea/beans were great. definitely worth a visit! They shuck their oysters at the bar! Can’t wait to go back to try for dishes.“

“Stopped in around 6:30pm on a Saturday and we were able to sit at the window bar with no wait. The staff was prompt and friendly, the food and drinks were really fantastic, and the setting and music were great. We had trouble deciding on the small plates to taste, so we ended up getting a lot of them - they were all fantastic. Highly recommend the Deviled Eggs - they were so good we forgot to take pics :) My husband loved that they had blue cheese olives for his dirty martini (well-made), and I loved that they had a ton of delicious vegetarian options. The Moon Hooch and Clairvoyant Cry were both excellent rum drinks.“
“My home away from home. I’ve worked in a lot of establishments as a host and as an employee at all levels. This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. As long as I have breath in my body and they will have me I will host a show here for my own sanity and well being. More places should pay attention to how these people do business on all ends. “Our first time in. Had the Bao and Veggie Tacos. Both had really great flavors and presentation. Sat at the bar and tried several of the creative cocktails. All were good and very non-traditional. It seems the owner really tries to be creative with just about everything. Sat at the bar as they was the only place left. No hostess. Another patron said we just needed to head upstairs. I’d come back if they added more vegetarian options as it seems they have their flavors down :)“
“I will rate a restaurant 5 anytime I can. They get my admiration for simply doing what they do. First, I do love coming here. I also appreciate their honesty that they were not sure of the source of their chicken. Yet, I was as surprised to hear that as I was, the shrimp is farmed, regardless of where. “Came here 2 years ago when they opened. Roast chicken and potatoes amazing. Fast forward to 5/22 over done chicken steamed then roasted, not garlic mashed potatoes. Not bad but not what I’d been thinking about 2 years prior. Sat at bar…bar tender with long blonde hair in 2 clips made the night and hustled her bum off. Got the warrior game on l, smiled and hustled. Her other bartender in red plaid shirt seemed bothered never cracking a smile….female bartender took care of entire bar! Deserves raise. “Sabai continues to impress! Was seated early, server came by to check of I wanted anything while I waited. Appetizers (tempura green beans are beyond delish...Vietnamese wings Spicy and excellent, main course of Crispy Thai Basil was Superb). Everyone is attentive, and one young man just seemed to be near, though not our server, who was very cool. He brought my friend napkins, utensils, all with a smile!Classy and delish...it doesn't get better than this?“

“Me and my friend went to Izakaya Jinsei for dinner tonight and we had an amazing experience! Such a cute restaurant. Will definitely be my new go to sushi spot. Very quaint, chill atmosphere. Some standout dishes we ordered were the spicy garlic edamame as an appetizer and the super dragon roll. Service was great. Very friendly employees. The menu was pretty big and had a large variety of dishes, not just sushi. I would definitely come back here again to dine in or for takeout.“
“4 dollar patron nights and it's not as crowded or loud as the bars located a block up at the barmuda triangle. Highly recommend for a chill spot to throw back drinks! Personal favorite cocktail of theirs is a spicy vodka drink called a no no. Don't know any other place that makes it.“
“I've been here for booze before, but it was the first time for a meal, and it was great! I went with the steak fingers and requested an off menu horseradish type sauce and cook delivered. Fries were very delicious and crisp-worth coming back for. I paired with a pinot and couldn't have been happier! Disregard the numbers on my food, I was celebrating my bday. It's worth noting that the bathroom is the nicest and cleanest in town!“
“Not only is the vibe here great, but the large soft pretzals are bomb af, they actually have decent meat alternative options, and the owners are solid human beings who take care of people in their community. I live in Coos Bay, but my husband and I love to stop for a bite when we are in town.“

“I've been going to Cowfish for almost 4 years now and it's hands down my favorite bar - not only in Eugene, but in Oregon, and I'm from Portland. This bar actually cares about making sure people are safe, both physically and emotionally, so they can actually have a good time. Even when I come alone, I make new friends! Drinks are always awesome, made by the best bartenders, bouncers care about safety but with kindness, and over the years I've become friends with literally everyone. Love the decor, the spacious dance floor, and the variety of themed events every day of the week! This is the inclusive and fun-loving kind of bar every town needs.“

We tried the shitake mushrooms (not to be missed!), buttermilk chicken sandwich (generous chicken, a little heat), the bahn mi (delicious bread and pickled veggies), and skewers (loved the lime and creamy sauce). Of course, sad that Meiji is gone but Eugene is lucky they didn't just close shop altogether!“
