“Delicious food. The kind of place that a week later your body will begin to crave eating there again and the cravings won’t stop until they’re satisfied with a return visit. Warning: your clothes and your hair will stink like grease and oil when you leave so don’t wear your fancy clothes to eat here because you’ll be on the hook for dry cleaning and in desperate need of a shower after your meal. You’ll definitely have to wash your hair to get the stink out. Worth it though.“

“I had dinner there for the first time last night and was completely blown away by it all. Every dish was beautiful to look at, and heaven to smell and taste. Good service, and not inexpensive, but worth every penny paid. I am looking forward to coming back for dinners and brunches in the very near future.“

“I love it here!* (except one encounter with an employee and their pool league) I have been coming here for years and haven't had any issues except for a dark curly haired employee today that was part of a pool league that was extremely rude and unprofessional. It is open pool day and my friend and I had a pool league show up and try to kick us off of our table during our first game. When brought up to an employee we were told that there aren't any reserving tables and that we're able to keep playing and take turns since it's open pool with no reserving tables and that they would be talked to. A while later, the rude and unprofessional employee showed up off shift to be a part of the league and told us again we needed to leave the tables and that he worked there so it didn't matter if another employee said it was open pool day and we could play. Before any encounter happened between us I was Initially going to finish the current game I had going with my friend and give the table up because I saw so many people showing up to play. They first approached us by coming over and lying to us about the tables being open just for them and telling us we had to stop playing. I decided to play a couple more games because of that and they really didn't like it. Then the rude employee showed up after that point and was short tempered and obviously irritated. There were also multiple members of the league shouting from across the room that they need more tables. If they had just approached us and had a civil conversation instead of lying and trying to kick us off of our table then this would have all been avoided. The employee made it very clear that what he says goes no matter what anyone else said. When he said that, members of the league agreed and made comments like "yeah, you practically own the place". I absolutely love this place and everyone else in it, I just hope to never run into that employee or that pool league again.“

The place was very clean and we got compensation for the minor mistakes that the staff made, not to mention the food was very delicious and fulfilling! “THIS ISNT YOUR AVERAGE FOOD TRUCK! Zandos is doing things differently! He is putting his own twist on the food we love. I got a sandwich called the porker. And I was skeptical to the apricot he puts on it. But boy was I wrong! That is so DELICIOUS! He makes his own mayo (I’m not a fan of mayo by itself) and it’s very good. Granted I made mine into fry sauce with ketchup. BUT he also makes his own pickles! So perfectly thinly sliced and if you like a tangy pickle you’ll love it! There are other things I’ll have to try. But I will be back. I don’t know if your name is zando but keep it up zando!“

“My home away from home. I’ve worked in a lot of establishments as a host and as an employee at all levels. This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. As long as I have breath in my body and they will have me I will host a show here for my own sanity and well being. More places should pay attention to how these people do business on all ends. “Came here 2 years ago when they opened. Roast chicken and potatoes amazing. Fast forward to 5/22 over done chicken steamed then roasted, not garlic mashed potatoes. Not bad but not what I’d been thinking about 2 years prior. Sat at bar…bar tender with long blonde hair in 2 clips made the night and hustled her bum off. There I was: having the worst day of my life: I was told I only have one day left before going to prison because apparently I had committed “tax Freud”. I knew my last dinner before a life of incarceration must be at the University of Oregon GSH Fredhmarket Cafe. The employee by the name of Anna was so helpful, and even listened to me as I complained about my upcoming inprisonment. After eating my sandwich and talking with Anna I now face the bars of prison with welcome arms.“

Parking: We were lucky to park right in front.. no lie, I'm sure they fill up quickly, as there's many nice businesses around it. They do offer a lot of open, free parking there at Oakway Center.“

With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. “My husband and I took friends to the Sunday brunch Sept 8 to celebrate their 62nd anniversary. I had been there with my sisters about a month ago and was pleased with most everything. I made 10:00 reservations. We got there a little early so the waiter asked us to sit down and they’d be with us shortly. After about a 12 minute wait the same waiter came up to us and asked if we had been helped. I said yes we were waiting for you to seat us. He had forgotten us. We ordered coffee from a waitress. Twenty minutes later and no coffee we grabbed another waitress and asked her to get us coffee. Instead of being offered refills on coffee we had to ask for it. Needless to say we were very disappointed in the service. On the other hand the food was very good. Unfortunately good food alone does not make the best experience. Don’t know if we’ll be back. All but the service was great. 😓“

Parking: There is a free parking lot off the alley behind the building. A bit hard to find, but I've always found a spot there.“

The menu has something for everyone including many vegan options as well as gluten free options.I had the Biscuits and gravy, with home fries, the biscuits were super light and fluffy with a nice crust, the sausage gravy was the real deal. Homemade creamy goodness with just enough sausage, home fries were deep fried to golden brown and hot and creamy potato in the middle. The coffee was dark and delicious served with real cream. The menu has something for everyone. The location is on campus which makes parking a little difficult but don't let that stop you, you'll be happy to walk off a few calories after your meal. They even have stainless water bowls and covered patio seating for your well behaved furry friend. This place is packed on weekends but breakfast on a school day was just the time to try this place. I will be back ?

The waitress was friendly, but when I asked for a refill on my soda, she never mentioned that they charge full price for a refill of soda. If knew, I wouldn't have asked for another.
