“Love this place! Owner is the chef and he's so funny and takes great care of his customers. He isn't afraid to bus tables and loves getting feedback about his dishes. I find it to lack salt for my taste but it's perfect for my family and I can always add seasonings from the table condiments. They have hot chili oil, just ask and they'll bring you some! Super great atmosphere where the staff make you feel welcome! We love coming here with our family! Love the pho!“

“The food here is just awesome. Huge too, always lots of leftovers. We like to pay the extra for the splitting of a large pho, and get appetizers or another entree. That's also a great lunch the next day for both of us. We're big fans, we have eaten here at least 10 times. One thing that's odd is it seems we never have the same server twice, but always get terrific service. There's a lot of things on the menu we've not tried, but only because our usual order is so fantastic.“

Probably the ONLY source for stand-alone whole fresh roasted duck outside of Portland (that doesn’t need to be ordered as part of a menu item like Peking duck …). I suggest ordering it with some also fresh steamed pork bao — what a remarkable feed !! Also best FRESHLY made BBQ pork and uniquely ‘roasted pork’. The present owner Brian himself a true culinary chef carries on very well the model and quality of Yi Shen’s founder Phung and her wonderful late husband Ming !! As a special treat, Phung is occasionally found behind the counter taking orders and greeting customers old and new. PLUS a remarkably well-supplied Asian grocery INCL.
