“This is a old school hidden gem. Proudly family run and lots of great influences from the beer list to the food on the menu to the portions. From the ample pour of rose and my lovely large Polish beer we knew we were in for something fun. We both had steak specials, with sides, the salads were fresh and tasty. The platters came out with our steaks cooked perfectly, great loaded potatoes and the steamed veggies were real veggies not heated up frozen veggies. The steaks were delicious. Good meat, seasoned just enough and cooked well. Everything came out hot and we dug in. We were offered sauces and things but honestly it didn't need anything. The wine list was about what you would expect for a small place, but there was a nice representation of smaller local producers considering the list was maybe 8-10 wines total. They had a full bar as well, we saw a table order cocktails, again good pours, and the lady's lobster tail looked incredible. This was such a fun night we will be back again and soon!“
“You usually don’t go into a brewery in an emotional crying state. We were on vacation Saturday and shortly before entering Pfriem I got some hard news to take in about my family. It was a lot to process and I decided I just needed to push on with the evening and try to process it later. Zach picked up on my emotions immediately, hard not to, but he treated my husband and I with so much empathy, and love honestly. He assisted us that evening, and really treated us with compassion. It was so touching to be cared for in the situation I was in and the place I was. Obviously incredible beer, but Zach is who I would hope would be our server in good times and bad. Thank you for your support during this difficult time. ❤️“
“On a whim, I made reservations to enjoy Votum's tasting menu to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were really blown away by the level of service, the attention to detail, and the clear passion they have for fine dining and food artistry. It's definitely a special occasion kind of place, but they REALLY did make the occasion feel special - complete with customized printed menus, delicious and creative food, and Michelin star-level service and presentation. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces! Thank you for a lovely evening. We'd gladly come back for another special occasion in the future.“
“Oh my goodness, so glad we discovered Bette's! We're on a 12 hour road trip from Portland to SLC and needed breakfast on our way out. We called ahead and ordered the Salmon Bagel, Huevos Rancheros, and Huevos con Tortillas for take out on the drive. Everything was fresh and delicious! My 8yo daughter says this is the best Huevos Rancheros and side of fruit she's had in her life and insisted I leave a review. :) We're all feeling great and ready to take on the rest of this road trip. Might have to make this our regular stop for breakfast on this these trips in the future.“
“Full Sail is my favorite brew pub in Hood River. They have fantastic beer and fantastic food. My favorite beer is the Cervesa, a Mexican lager served with a lime. This place also has my favorite version of fried pickles, served with a chipotle mayo. We also ate the Salmon Fish and Chips, where the fish was cooked perfectly. The restaurant can get really busy, especially on the weekends. I recommend getting on the Yelp waitlist. Or you can go inside to get on the waitlist and depending on the wait, spend some time exploring downtown Hood River. Can’t wait to come back!Parking: There is a paid parking lot across the street, but during certain times and days it’s free. There is also street parking.“
“We had 6 pizzas for our family Christmas. I have celiac, so 1 pizza was gluten-free. Lori assured me she was familiar with how to prepare my pizza. Well, the family loved the pizzas, and mine was fantastic, and I did not have any reaction. Thank you, Saw Tooth Roadhouse, for making a perfect meal for a perfect day.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free“
“Very nice hotel! It sits right on the Columbia River. The coolest part is they allow you to park your boat on their dock for free if you stay at the hotel!!! Plus they have a great bar and restaurant and the staff are awesome! A must stay……“
“Camp is the only true cocktail bar in Hood River. They pretty much make everything in house aside from the maraschino cherries. They have a small distillery on site and the staff has been the same for the last couple of years, which is always challenging to do in the food and beverage industry and a testament to ownership and management. The David Bowie and Aztec Ruins are personal favorites... as are the nachos and grilled cheese w/ tomato soup. If you can make it for happy hour, which runs until 6 PM (a true rarity these days) you'll find most of the crowd favorite drinks and some of the best food items on the menu... and, they are not pared down nor skimped on.Always fun to sit at the bar and watch some really beautiful drinks be made. Bottom line: really like the product, staff and location can't be beat. Kudos.“
“Delicious selection of breakfast. From the different types of french toast, chorizo skillet, any breakfast, really. We drive from Portland whenever family visits just to go for breakfast! Word of caution, it's a very busy place but worth it!???“
“I am a traveling CNA. That being said I have been to lots of places! But this cute little restaurant is to die for! I had the best experience every time here! The owners are so down to earth and lovely people! Very helpful with questions in the area! My favorite dish here is the burrito bowl! So good the food here is on point! If your ever in town tell the owners Kyle and Tiffany sent ya! You won’t regret it! I rate this place over all a 10/10. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!“
“Cute place & we were instantly drawn to their logo when walking by. We wanted sushi but my friend also wanted sweet potato fries & awesome to find a place that actually has both! I got the edamame & Kobe roll. It was delish! Perfect size bites & favorful & they didn't skimp on the sauce or the size of the fish on top. My friend got the maki roll & previously mentioned fries. She thoroughly enjoyed hers as well. Incredibly attentive service & all of the employees were kind & friendly. I would definitely go back (I saw some burgers & poke bowls being brought to other tables that looked amazing as well).“
“The facilities have a somewhat run down look although this seems to be the vibe they are going for. Kind of that hole in the wall with great food feel. Everything was clean and kept up though. The food, appropriately enough, was quite good. My burger (their Trillium burger), cooked just right (medium) as requested was excellent. Juicy patty, soft bun, crisp bacon, and fresh fixings. Tater tots were crispy and well seasoned. They were somewhat busy for a late Sunday morning but service was still prompt and friendly. I intend on coming back when a craving for a good burger strikes.“
“Met a friend there for lunch at 11:30 on a Tuesday and we were the only ones there. By the time we left the dining room was full. My friend had trout and I kept it simple with a hamburger with very crispy, delicious fries. The view of the Columbia River was enhanced by a rainbow.“
“Ferment is a fantastic brew pub located in Hood River! The outdoor seating area is the highlight, offering a cozy vibe and fantastic views. The beer is great and the food is pretty tasty! We shared a giant pretzel that was delicious, served with wasabi mustard and a whipped brown butter.Sometimes they have a window open where you can order drinks. This time around, the window was closed and we needed to head inside to order. If you do not sit inside and choose your own seat, you will need to order at the counter. You will also need to bus your own tables. Can’t wait to go back!Parking: Parking can get a little hairy, especially on nice sunny days“
“Such a great place to dine, very family friendly. Today we dined for breakfast and it’s a great menu. The kids loved their food and the adults too. I have also come during the summer for dinner on the patio which was incredible. I love how focused it is on local and sustainable food and drink. Definitely worth a visit!“
“The people are friendly you can smoke they had I mean they have a back area where you can smoke if you smoke and you can take your drinks back it's outside but it's right there in the bar actually kind of inside outside I would rather go there than just about anywhere else just kick back but it can't get rocking at times and you got lottery good food lots of liquor that I don't drink anymore. Thank goodness everyone have a good day talk to you later soon John“
“I love supporting local businesses! This place is awesome! The customer service is one of the best in town! Their food is very awesome! I love that if I want to call and place a takeout order, they actually answer the phone. And, my takeout orders are always exactly what I ordered. A side note, this was the last takeout place we ordered for my brother before he passed away from cancer recently. He loved their clam chowder as much as I do! So I will always order clam chowder because it is so good! Their fries are awesome too! Their burgers are very tasty too! Come support them!“
“Tilly Jane’s is not just your typical sports bar. When the old Sharis building was renovated into a new sports bar, I was curious what to expect. With over a dozen TVs, which can each be changed independently to show MY GAME, coupled with a knock out menu, this place has quickly become my new favorite for game day….but also every other day in between. Their breakfast is off the charts and they have a rotating weekly special dinner menu that challenges any of the other alternatives for cuisine in town.If you haven’t given this place a shot. You’re missing the target, if the target is good times, good food, and good people.“
“Drove about an hour to check this place out, heard good things and good BBQ isn't easy to find. I'm glad to say that this was definitely worth the trip. The brisket sandwich was absolutely fantastic, the person running the truck was very friendly, and it was an all around pleasant experience. Will visit again.“
“I eat at Freshies every other day or so!My go to spot for fuel for the day and a fresh start breakfast!Lunch here is great to get me through the day with a variety of bagels and fresh ingredients to choose from.Yes there may be a line and parking is not easy but it’s definitely worth the effort!Freshies also offers a variety of fresh made to order smoothies,Sure to delight any palate…Parking: Parking is tricky but Freshies is worth the time finding a parking spot!“
“If you're in Hood River and looking for a good place to grab Happy Hour or just to get a good dinner and some drinks then check Divots out. Being in the Portland area and always looking for some good Haopy Hour menus I have seen many good and not so good ones and Divots has a GOOD ONE! Good food options and prices are a decent value. Reference the two menu pics I added in December 2023 on their photos here. I had the burger and it really hit the spot. Good selection of beer, wine and cocktails too.“
“The smoked salmon sliders are very delicious! A nice light lunch with a glass of their moscato was just perfect. The sliders had a spice to them & the moscato was not too sweet. The lounge and dining space are serene, beautifully decorated with timeless art and music, and offer wonderful views of nature and the river. I would recommend lunch here!“
“We had a lovely dinner with great service, but would love to see more commitment to supporting Indigenous communities from this renowned restaurant. If you're going to take your name from a place that was destroyed by settlers and a people who were displaced, you should put your money where your mouth is and honor where your name comes from.“
