“Lots to like. Good quality. A separate box for salad from hot chicken and rice is a nice touch. Similarly, the salad is a nice vinaigrette over mixed greens not a creamy mayo dressing over iceberg (which I also love). So that's a nice difference. Small drink w chicken teri6rice and salad for 9.50 is solid.“
“I saw the raving reviews so wanted to check this place out. The bahn mi is good bulgogi has good flavor. The meat is pretty chewy though, and I would say the combo definitely is not worth the extra 5 bucks. I'd stick to the sandwich. The service was pretty quick and the lady was very nice. It's a small hole in the wall location. I would however avoid this area after about 5/6pm. This area is home to many people whom reside outside lol. As someone who has been to almost every bahn mi place in Portland I will say comparing to best baguette, bahn mi fresh, and a few other bahn mi places i think killer bahn mi is the best! But it is quite spendy for a bahn mi. You pay for it in the amount of meat they give you but still. If you like this kind of bahn mi I'd recommend also checking out an xuyen bakery. It's this little bakery on like 51st and foster but they have some of the biggest bahn mis I've ever had for 1/2 the price.“
“This place has the best vegan Japanese food. Everything from the appetizers, noodle bowls, sake to dessert was delicious! Really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff as well. Had an amazing experience and will definitely be back for more :)“
“Street Wok is an excellent choice if you’re looking for standard Chinese food done exceptionally well. All the regular go-to’s are fresh and well-flavored - sesame chicken, orange chicken, won-ton soup etc. The food is several notches above the usual fare you’ll fine in most US cities. Located in an unremarkable strip mall with basic, almost barren decor, it’s easy to miss. Most people seem to do to-go orders, and the dine-in experience includes a looping Chinese song that played a minimum 12 times during our 30 minute lunch :-)“
“This is one of only a few places that serve Laksa, which is what I was looking for. It was very good, and very filling. When asked, they told me they serve Laksa because the owner was from Singapore. As others have noted, the staff is very nice.“
“The best food truck in Portland! The food is soooo good and the owners are so kind and friendly. If you haven't tried Burmese tea leaf salad before this is the place to do it!Dietary restrictions: I have many food allergies/intolerances and they were very accommodating.“
“My wife and I have been to this place twice since we found it about a month ago. We’ve been to Thailand, and haven’t found real Thai food like this in the United States until we ate here. We highly recommend any of the dishes with ground beef or ground pork.“
“Small, well-thought out menu, with several amazing vegan options! Great tea selection, and the owner will help you decide based on the mood you’re after. I’ve been here several times since they’ve opened, it’s quite the sanctuary - you can’t go wrong! Thank you!“
“Craving something a little adventurous tonight, decided to see what the hype was about. Totally efficient ordering and pickup. Sooooo delicious - wish I had ordered MANY orders of the dumplings. Next time! Every bite a new taste sensation. This is why we ❤️ restaurants!“
“This place is literally everything. The best sushi in town, for sure. But more than that, every time we walk in, Alex makes us feel warm and welcome. We have had an amazing experience every time we walk in that door. We've always loved Bamboo, but since Alex joined the team at this location, it's like walking into a warm hug. The staff is attentive, smiling, and helpful. The food is OUTSTANDING. As a chef from NYC, it's the best sushi I've ever had outside of the city (and probably even better!) Alex goes above and beyond to make her guests and her staff feel comfortable and happy. Only 5 stars because I can't give it 6. Eat here or you will regret it.“
“I have been trying to try Lua for awhile now. But learn from my mistakes and double check the open hours before planning a visit. BUT, the wait was well worth it. The food tastes amazing and was surprised by how well things were priced for the great quality. The fish sauce chicken wings were straight from flavortown and the pork banh mi was so well cooked. Definitely want to come back and try new dishes. Thanks for the great service!“
“We finally decided to try this place since they recently opened to support local businesses and we are so glad we did! We did not try any of the Sushi but the noodle dishes and the beef brisket noodle soup were delicious and flavorful. Everything was very tasty and the portions were large. We will be ordering from here again for sure and we’ll try their Sushi too next time. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for tasty noodle dishes.“
“I got the yuzu miso ramen and my wife got the lime shio ramen. We also got chicken karaage with lemon sriracha aioli. Everything was fantastic. Such a good balance of flavors and just absolutely amazing. The workers were extremely friendly as well. I am 100% coming back here!“
“I’ll make it quick. Atmosphere is you see what you get. No real complaints just trying to be objective. No bathroom here nor anywhere on the block so that kinda sucks but not necessary the fault of this business. Diner beware though.Love the concept. Kimchi pork sub. It was essentially a classic grinder but with kimchi pork. That’s it! The pork was delicious. The bread was definitely a weak point. Way too chewy, made everything fall out when you bite. I might opt for a teriyaki bowl next time.“
“The food was delicious! I never say that about restaurants, but I want everyone to know about Ruk Diew Cafe! the food was fresh ND so good. the coconut prawns were tender and flavorful, the fried tofu was crispy and the sauce yummy. I think I had green mango in a lovely sauce with red peppers. I am a happy diner.“
“Solid vegetarian options. Different items for specials than I e had anywhere else and they were very good. Really enjoyed the curry and the jalepenos. Threw a side of pan fried noodles with the jalepenos and it was a delight.Vegetarian options: Good options that are tasty!“
“Fantastic food. Every bite I said “mmmm”. I got the orange chicken bento box and my bf got the crispy chicken sandwich. The flavors and textures of both were amazing . We also loved the chicken dumplings and spring rolls! We will be coming back for sure!“
“The food is always hot, ready, and amazing. I have pretty much only gotten the steak and rice bowl, but it's so good i have to come back and get it every time. wonderful service, and the two who own the business are wonderful to talk to as well!“
“Oma’s Hideaway offers tasty tapas style Malaysian and Singaporean street food (1 plate can comfortably serve 2 people). Possibly the best Roti in the city! Maybe the highlight of the night.Great for date night or a group experience.Knowledgeable staff, outdoor seating, and street parking.Be prepared to $$.Enjoy!“
“Only street parking availableFriendly staffPlenty of indoor seatingService was quickVisited for Portland's Dumplings week and their version smelled heavenly with the crispy garlic.Delicious dumplings and looking forward to coming back to enjoy their menu!“
“One of the best ramen experiences I have had since living in Portland. Erica, behind the counter, could not have been more amazing. Extremely accommodating and helpful. This place offers the at home atmosphere with a Japanese twist. Large portions, offers a great bang for your buck and yet still delicious. I will be back for sure.“
“I have been wanting to visit Expatriate for years now, and finally got around to it last night. It did not disappoint! The staff were so knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive, the cocktails were complex and delicious, and the spiced fries were TO DIE FOR! Can't wait to come back and try more of the food menu.“
“Eager to celebrate the Chinese New Year, my friend and I were craving Chinese food and decided to give Warsugai a try. I'm glad we did! The restaurant is lovely with mint tiles surrounding the bar, a waving kitty on the wall, and plants around the perimeter. The door was opened for us as we entered, and we were seated quickly. Since we wanted to be adventurous and try multiple items on the menu, my friend and I decided to order the Pu Pu Platter. Not really a platter though, our food came out individually and took up the majority of our table. Ours came with the Silken Ota Tofu, Noble House Pork Potstickers, Dungeness Crab Long Rangoon, BBQ Pork Coppa, Sizzling Black Pepper Beef Short Ribs, Taishan Cauliflower, and Warsugai. Everything was flavorful and delicious, so it was hard to pick favorite items. Although I'm not usually a fan of tofu, I enjoyed the differing textures of the soft tofu and crispy potato and scallions. The crab rangoon was amazing! No imitation crab here...Fresh crab rolled up in a spring roll fashion and served with a chili sauce. Yum! We also enjoyed the bbq pork coppa which came with a dollop of mustard which complimented the pork nicely. Finally, the Warsugai itself was delicious. Lightly fried chicken which was not overly heavy or greasy topped with almond gravy and almond slivers on a bed of shredded lettuce. So good! Your server will check you out at your table which is convenient, but also a little awkward since he or she will be in front of you when the machine prompts for a tip and a rating of your meal and service. This was not a deterrent since everything was wonderful. Hoping they will add a dessert item or two to the menu someday. We loved our experience at Warsugai and look forward to elevated Chinese food again soon!“
“It's been long overdue for me to write a review here. Best Salmon belly in town I always crave it!!! I'm craving it as I type this. It's crispy, loaded, packed with umami and even comes with some veggies and rice for the perfect bite. The laos dipping sauce is also essential for it. Some other honorable mentions are: Laotion beef jerky, waterfall steak, nam khao and the salt and pepper shrimp and squid. OOH and you can't forget the beignets with all the dipping sauces for a savory dessert or of course, the classic mango sticky rice that you can have customized with different flavored sticky rice. Wash it down with one of their refreshing beverages, thai iced tea, iced ube, and green tea thai tea and so much more.“
“It will difficult for you to find anything that isn't great about Wokshop. From friendly staff to exceptional food, they will earn 5 stars across the board. I've eaten almost everything on the menu during lunch/dinner rush, and have never noticed a dip in quality. Their pricing is great too! My go to lunch item: Shrimp Rolls with Chilli Oil. They come with Peanut Sauce, which is great too. For a brighter wow on hot summer days, try the Garlic Jalapeno sauce with it. My go to dinner item: Short Rib Teriyaki. Definitely some of the Best in town, if not THE Best. The only reason I stopped ordering at lunch, is that its soooo much food I couldn't continue to work effectively after consuming it all. As a friendly reminder, phone in orders, and pick up when you can. Ordering and having it delivered via an App is convenient, but it takes a big chunk of money from the business. Help your favorite places thrive by ordering direct and picking up.“
“Definitely a very good place to get teriyaki!Definitely has been some changes over the last few months, I regularly go there and I’ve noticed a little bit of changes in the food. Still good, but not quite as spicy as before. I always get the hot chicken, it is a great spicy chicken teriyaki dish. One of the best that I’ve ever had.“
“The food is delicious. l work for Meridian Park hospital. This wonderful person delivered food to us. It is so delicious. How thoughtful. The chicken and rice so good, the salad yummm, the rice pudding. Comfort foods . I would recommend this place to eat. sincerely Tina Davis“
“Has a little bit of a hole in the wall feel to it but amazingly good food. Our table ordered a variety of things and we did family style. It gave us a lot of opportunity to try a different things. I highly recommend it. You know, the family style part and also the restaurant!“
“Sushi and small plate restaurant in the west side downtown area. The sushi rolls here are quite tasty, and the crunchy rice is better than most places. The ingredients all taste quite fresh which can make or break good sushi, but overall it’s nothing mind blowing. The garlic chicken was pretty mediocre. The tempura vegetables were nice and lightly fried, the sauce provided was adequate.Overall I’m glad that I tried it out, but considering the pricing to quality ratio I can say that I’m glad I went but I wouldn’t go again.“
“Awesome family, friendly restaurant. There's a spacious feel to the restaurant and it is laid out so uniquely. There's fish tanks and a kid's play corner (so children can play while they wait for the food or after they are done eating). The service was friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! We got the orange chicken and the shrimp ramen and everything tasted amazing! Our little kid was super happy toddling around & we all had a great time! Definitely will be back!“
“Bamboo sushi is arguably the best sushi and experience in Portland. Rolls and sashimi are excellent, but don't miss the wagyu burger. We sat at the bar, and Morgan took amazing care of us; great service made a fantastic martini! We're definitely going to ask to sit at the bar again. Don't miss this place.“
“Tasty food and good prices. They were very helpful with explaining what items on their menu are vegan and what options can be modified to be vegan. It's a pretty cute place, too.Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled vegetarian options. Two options are vegan by default, most everything else can be made vegan on request.“
“This place is a real hidden gem here in West Linn. I’m really enjoyed coming here. The food is freaking awesome. And the yakisoba is pretty amazing. I also really like the chicken teriyaki. The people who run the shop I really nice. it’s always super clean and a really good value.“
“This place is magnificent. The atmosphere is exactly what I look for in a place, but most almost importantly is the delicious sushi that they craft in the kitchen. The Unicorn role is truly a Unicorn, I've never found such an exquisite tasting role of sushi. I don't know what they do with that thing, but it's actually a flavorful experience I can only get from a fine dining restaurant. So many complexities that exist within that role. The green machine is another favorite. Whatever goes into making that sauce is just delicious!Just as important is the service. Jared that works behind the bar has always been so incredible. He is a genuinely kind guy and cares about you as if you'r e one of his closest friends (and this is only my second time having him as a server at the bar in the past year!). I'm so glad he still works at bamboo sushi because I remembered his warm welcoming and service from the last time I was there. The only thing that has kept me from coming here more often is the price of sushi, but I can say that the price is justified. I also think that they either dropped the prices since the last time I came there . . . Or I can now afford it, not sure!I always talk VERY highly of Bamboo Sushi and it's my #1 recommendation for Sushi when people visit Portland and it's because of your trifecta of delicious food, incredible staff, and wonderful ambience.Vegetarian options: Green Machine“
“So authentic!!!!! So flavorful, I will always be back , thank you for blessing us with your amazing food! Flavorful, made with love, the best lau and Thai cuisine I’ve ever had. The best Portland Lau and Thai Portland has to offer! Check this place out, you’ll not be disappointed! Check on their instagram to see when the best time to come by will be! I’m so happy Pdx hasn’t lost the best food In town due to the pandemic. I love the authentic taste, kind service and portions!“
“Got the Mr. Miyagi, (chicken sandwich w/ avocado and some other delicious sauce and stuff), reasonable pricing($10 for sandwhich and chips)and very filling. Super quick service, and the seating arrangement is nice, outdoors w/ picnic tables, plenty of seating and still somehow tables are spaced far enough apart that you can actually enjoy a sense of privacy. Also, free wi-fi is avaliable as well as a couple plug-ins even if you happen to need to charge your headphones for a minute?I try and stop by every time I'm in the area and it's meal time. Keep up the great work!“
“We had never been here before and had just read reviews about it being a hole in the wall and really good so we decided to try it. The people there were super sweet and even spoke a little Spanish to us. The food was bomb we ordered the beef pho, the shrimp curry marinated Tom xao lan ca ri, and the red cocunut curry. The portions are a little bit on the larger side but that just means you can enjoy some of it at home too! They gave us some extra chili sauce as well that you could tell was made from scratch and made sure to warn us about spice levels. It wasn’t that spicy but the extra chili sauce added that extra spice for me. They had gluten free options as well as peanut free options so they do a pretty good job to accommodate allergies. This place is a hidden gem!Vegetarian options: Ingredients listed on menu as well as tofu option for proteinDietary restrictions: gluten free, peanut free“
“I’m a big fan of fried/crispy/salt & pepper squid/calamari dishes. Golden Triangle’s spicy squid is some of the best I’ve ever had. EVER.It’s mad spicy for me though so I have to modify it to be milder in heat but it’s still fire nonetheless. It’s going to be hard to go anywhere else for crispy squid! I plan on trying to stop by at least twice a month if not more.“
“Great place to watch sports. The food here is subpar for Vietnamese cuisine—but their customer service is great. They offer a decent selection for tap beers, and cocktails. Video poker isn’t usually packed either so you could always find a machine to play on—or play pool/darts if you’re not into gamble.Been coming here for over 10+ years, and I have to admit that this is my go-to bar when I’m in SouthEast PDX. Will definitely continue to support this establishment for many years to come.“
“Really unique restaurant in Multnomah Village. It's sort of like a food cart with some indoor and outdoor seating, each room with a unique theme..The kitchen is kinda spread out throughout the restaurant. The owner is really cool and super friendly. The bentos we had were really good as well. I've never seen a restaurant set up quite like this but the eclectic nature of it screams Portland. We will be back.“
“The service was great ! The food was amazing. The place is small, private, and cozy. I loved everything we tried, The Galbu Jjim 10/10. The Pad Thai 10/10. Chicken noodle soup 9/10. The Crab Rangoons were pretty good, and so were the chocolate ribs. The main dishes were the star of the show. Needless to say, I highly recommend this spot.“
“Never disappoints! Love their napa cold slaw salad that comes with the buns, always crunchy and yummy. Miso pork belly bun is so freakin good I keep coming back for MORE! The bun itself is so fluffy and most likely the best steamed bun you can find in town!“
“Tried this place out for the first time today. We are vegetarian so finding Thai food we can eat can be tricky sometimes. When I called to ask if the pad thai can be made without fish sauce the owner was very kind and offered to accommodate us. She did an excellent job - the food was great! We will definitely be back.“
“Great place for a teriyaki fix . Ive been coming here for 15 years at least once every few months. Don't let the Ambience fool you this place is tip top great food every time!! And tip those guys making your food they are solid guys and deserve it, they work hard..“
“A wonderful place for a lovely light treat! The tea selection is ginormous, the food is delectable, and the atmosphere is fun and not stuffy at all. I highly recommend for either simple brunch or a big party!Parking: A bit tough to find from parking lot.“
“Delicious food, compliments to the chef on beautiful rolls. The service was excellent and our dinner was prepared and delivered quickly. Loved the kitty soy crock and the flowers on the ceiling added to the feel of this neat little restaurant.“
“They are very friendly and helpful on their menu. We went for the bubble tea and was recommended on the Taro bubble tea from the staff. It was so good! Too sweet but good for sharing with my kids hehe.It has now caused our family to fall in love with bubble tea as a treat. Will have to go back and try their food sometime.“
“Opted for Cha Ya after walking over to Hawthorne Asylum. Price was fair for what you get. $13 for a Steak Bowl over rice that felt like it had a lot of meat in it. Nice egg to add a little flavor variation and a good sauce. Food was very good (in fact someone in our group couldn't keep their fork out of my bowl!) and the size was good enough that I was able to save half for later. Would definitely return.“
“I'm pleased to review Ichi Teriyaki 25, for wonderful warm and friendly service over the phone and in-person, to the very fast cooking and service, to the flavors and proper cooking of our dinner. Thank you so much <3Vegetarian options: VEGETABLE DELUXE IS AMAZING AND I LOVED IT EVEN MORE THAN MY CHICKEN KATSU!“
“Made stop for lunch #2 today, and it was a repeat performance. Not only was it tasty, the portion was large for lunch, probably could have made two meals out of it. Service was great, attentive but not overbearing. We will have to try dinner sometime“
