“Zach's Bistro was a revelation. We were expecting a rather ordinary meal and received the most interesting and well-prepared meal that I have had in years. I say "interesting" in the sense that everything had something unexpected or a twist on the usual that was both wonderful and surprising.Best of all, everything was gluten free and safe for me to eat.The chestnut soup, clam chowder, fried market fish, potatoes, squash, and perfectly cooked broccolini were all terrific. Even the butter tasted more "buttery" than any we've ever had. There seemed to be an excessive use of sprouts as garnish for my taste, but I'm not a fan of sprouts in any form. The food was served at the right temperatures and the main course plates were warmed. (I appreciate that very much.)The decor is unexceptional and the ambience is a bit spare, but the music was delightful and at a nice low volume, unlike too many places. The bill was surprisingly low for the quality of food and service we received. We plan to come down to Newport more often just to enjoy Zach's Bistro.Highly recommended.Dietary restrictions: Zach's Bistro is an excellent place for celiacs and the gluten intolerant. The whole menu was gluten free on the night that we were there.“
“The chef here is so creative! They make their own mustard, it's excellent, I wish they sold it bottled. Husband and I have tried different dishes and all have been good like fish n chips, burger, salad, quesadillas. Pretzels and pickle chips are great starters. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!Parking: Huge lot for parking and is walking distance to historic Bay front“
“A huge fan. We have slowly been working our way through the menu and have not been disappointed once. Everything is so fresh and delicious! We are always welcomed with friendly service and smiles, we love that they have a cute play area for the little ones and they have the best deviled eggs and baked goods. 10/10 recommend!“
“This secret place is absolutely amazing! Aymee and staff are so friendly and genuine! It’s like being back at mom and dad’s kitchen! So happy we decided to go into this place when it seemed like it wasn’t even open or there! Amazing food (ribs, biscuits and gravy, waffles with vanilla ice cream, French press coffee, mimosa) amazing people, amazing atmosphere. This is our new breakfast place for our trips to Nye Beach!“Can I get sugar with my coffee?” Aymee said, “Do you want raw, processed, or fake?” ??? #realservice #noBS“
“The food was OUTSTANDING! We are visiting Newport for a week and this was our best meal by far! My husband got the fish & chips. I fish was fresh and the portion was huge. The fries are thick cut and seasoned well. Delicious. I ordered the fish tacos. Fresh corn tortillas, huge amounts of fresh grilled fish and delicious slaw/ cilantro cream sauce on top. Best fish tacos I have ever had. You gotta try the pickle fries, too!“
“We had lunch there on the porch (dogs allowed) and were quite happy with meal, service and atmosphere. We had shrimp melt and salmon sandwich and both were good. Servers also gave our Pomeranian a choice of hard and soft treats. We hope to go back.UPDATE a year later and Pacific Kitchen is still doing great! We had crab cakes and fish tacos plus clam chowder. Excellent food and very good service (once again).“
“I profited for years of this place without them knowing, I currently work here and have for a number of years, I've stolen upwards of 730 thousand dollars and nobody suspects a thing, I'm pretty well off now and have gotten bored of it all so I wanted to give them a little bit of a chance, a game if you will... I'm about to leave in 3 weeks to Brazil to live the life I deserve and when I'm gone, I'm taking the business DOWN and revealing all the secrets they wanted to keep locked up deep in their cellars. XOXO -S“
“We ate at Dockside Mo's and it was as good as I was 17 years ago when we first started going here. They changed how you order so you now order at the door which is more efficient but I kinda liked the old service style. Great views of the bay. Thanks for the Veterans Discount Mo's!“
“We were unvited to join our friend (a local) to experience this restaurant. For sure a different affair. It serves a revolving (set) menu with a starter, choice out of 3 main dishes and a desert.Thw table is shared with other guests but not in a too greater group. We were at a table of eight and had the pleasure of meeting some lovely people. All up there were 2 tables of eight guests. The food was quite lovely and there was a nice selection of beverages.Furthermore there is a little gift shop.“
“Wow are the pancakes good here, but the hash browns are a little on the oily side. This location gets very busy so expect a wait during peak times. I'll keep going back when passing through Newport and needing a bite for breakfast or lunch; it certainly beats other options available in town.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide open lanes between tables and accessible bathrooms.“
“Always try to hit this place when we go to Newport. Not sure if we just lucked into finding he best items on the menu, but the Crawfish Etouffee and Artichoke Parmesan Rockfish are so good we haven't been brave enough to try anything else.“
“Great beers. It’s pretty neat walking in through the brewery and upstairs to the bar. We had the cheese curds as a snack which were better than expected. Our server was super helpful and even gave us some recommendations around town for our visit. Definitely worth the visit.“
“Time to update my previous review.Y E S! = From the food, to the service, to the exceptional beer - these folks have it going on!You can either choose to dine in a 21 and over environment - or - family friendly dining. Both options are comfortable and welcoming. There are tables right in front of windows, which feature views of the marina.Tonight, Shelby was our server, she was the epitome of courteousness, knowledge, and efficiency. We ordered a beer flight, (you’ll have to look at the pictures to see what we ordered). Out of four beers, we seriously couldn’t choose a favorite = They were all that good! I ordered the cranberry / hazelnut salad, (sans the cranberries) = (I know). the salad was huge! Nick - a.k.a. - Mr. Wonderful had the (Halibut) fish and chips, and a house salad. We left nothing on our plates, and were very satisfied. As mentioned in my previous review; don’t miss the gift shop downstairs! Even though we wanted the Experimental 297, (thanks Shelby!) we purchased the “Mom Beer;” a light, hazy, fruity IPA, yes, *IPA (this coming from a *non IPA lady, says a lot = broadening my horizons). Piper, in the gift shop was absolutely delightful.“
“Visiting the coast and never miss an opportunity to stop here. They have the best clam chowder hands down. Didn't disappoint this visit either. Also the the views are spectacular and they have a beautiful patio with fire tables if its not raining outside. Dogs welcome. But back to the full bar and fabulous food. Tonight after the caIm chowder had crab Mac and cheese, full of fresh crab and creamy. Mmmm. Finished with the Sea glass cheesecake. Highly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant in the Best Western hotel in Agate Beach.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly-color pages and kid menu“
“We always go to Mo's when we go to the Oregon Coast. Usually Seaside, but this time we stayed in Newport. To wait with a 3 year old and a one year old outside because there is no waiting area. Once we were sat the server did a good rushed job. They were very busy.“
“Quick growler fill. Have ate here in the past, but not today. Staff friendly. Always changing trying to maximize the usage of the space they have between production and the restaurant. Fun to go in and see the process regardless of eating there or not.“
“based on the reviews, tried this on a whim. we always try and do a buffet when we are visiting elsewhere. I guess this place used to be an Izzy. the wait staff here is super friendly and very attentive. food was not bad, I had the salad bar, some pizza, chicken, and some dessert. Also I had the grill food-fish tacos, bf tried the ribs, he said they were good. I mean the food is nothing to brag about it but it was edible, none of is had a blow out. For dinner, it was $20 a person, they had some pretty awesome views. A little loud, but it is a smaller establishment. We would all eat here again.“
“Wow my wife and I had take out from this place and it was amazing. The Ruben was totally different than your average Ruben. They have their own special twist and it was pretty darn good. It’s worth the visit. The service was fast and when you go don’t forget the banana dessert it made the trip there worth it. I’ll be back.“
