“Came here the day before Thanksgiving, it was very packed but staff did a great job moving the line. Ordered 4 of the second smallest sized cakes they offer to try a few out and was very satisfied with them.The double chocolate chip and snickerdoodle were amazing, one of our favorite desserts especially in the area.We are saving the other two for Thanksgiving to share tomorrow...if they make it that long!Definitely recommend checking it out.“

“We placed an online order to take to my daughter's soccer game. We drove up from Virginia and planned to pick up the pretzels on our way to the game. We were caught in traffic so I called to let them know we were on our way and to confirm that the order was ready as we would be cutting it close. We ended up arriving after they closed. “I have enjoyed this place since it opened! The staff is magnificent. They are personable and take care of you! The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a wood decor. There is not a lot of seating inside, but there is ample seating outside. There is a good size parking lot (approximately 15 spots) and more parking right out front. The food and coffee is wonderful!The lattes are not extremely sweet of the syrups I get. This is a preference of mine real and strong coffee locally roasted!“

“It is hard to articulate the artistry that went into the creation of my very special birthday cake but the Night Kitchen Bakery did it. I had a special birthday this year and some great friends were flying in to help me celebrate. I had traveled with these friends and had many wild experiences, one of which was a very specific picture this fantastic bakery not only replicated flawlessly but made it oh so much better. Yes the cake photo attached is a cake - a DELICIOUS mocha cake that was as good as the artistry was on the outside. If you want a delicious cake, they're the place to go to. “From the tasting to after the wedding, Bredenbeck’s was amazing! The cake came out EXACTLY how I expected it to. It was beautiful! And it tasted amazing! All of my guests really loved every layer (each one was a different flavor). We had a small issue with the filling but Bredenbeck’s rectified the issue right away and took accountability! I look forward to visiting them for another cake order in the future!“

“Recently order a cake for my daughter’s baby shower. It was beautiful, tasty and moist. Everyone at the shower loved the cake. I got a 3 tier cake. I wanted strawberry with strawberry filling and cream cheese icing. She suggested I do one tier of a different flavor for those who make not like fruit. We went with one tier of chocolate chip. So happy we did. It worked out so well! I gave her 2 photos for inspiration and it turned out so perfect. Highly recommended!“

“Ursa bread is fantastic. Since the pandemic when we were incredibly lucky to have this bread delivered to our door to now it has been consistently wonderful bread baked with love. I go to the farmers markets specifically for this bread. Philadelphia has a number of great new small bakeries but Ursa is at the top!“

“Such a great place! I went a few months ago and things were good but OH MY!! I went again today and everything was AMAZING! We were one of the first people in shop and the selection was actually overwhelming! So many options and everything has been great so far. I’m actually a vegan bakery owner myself BUT when traveling love to try other treats & I was super happy about all the treats. Also, the staff working was super friendly, helpful and just overall great to chat with. Everything was delicious and were a hit with the family, including the cookies. They really have too many cupcake options to choose from ?. “Found this little place while visiting an in-law, and I can't wait to come back! It was a very homey vibe...cute & comfy. There were two employees behind the counter (one appeared to be new, but awesome) who were HUSTLING to manage the rush that arrived just after my husband and I ordered. They remained patient, communicative, efficient and avoided cross contamination, which means a lot to me. I watched them consistently change gloves between handling different orders, even while preparing 8 different tickets. That alone was enough to sell me on this place. Now, our orders... I had the avocado toast with egg & tomato. It wasn't the best, but it was reasonably priced, and well prepared. My husband had the cinnamon bun waffles... he's a sweets lover, and he was very happy that the waffle wasn't overly crispy. The icing on top was the perfect touch. He also had an iced matcha latte, which was (surprisingly) blended. He loved it! If it wasn't for the rush of customers, he would've gotten another one to take home. I had an iced dirty chai latte--it was the perfect mix of spiced chai and bold coffee. Maybe one of the best that I've tasted.“

“I enjoy Highpoint so much. The food is always delicious. I love the savory quiches. I’m pretty plain ordering herb tea or decaffeinated coffee. On the day we went there was only one staff for a very busy and full cafe. I hope the owners pay their people well and wish they had a plan for a sub to help out. Our barista was working very hard.“

“Went to get an assortment of treats for Sunday splurge day for my "mom"? (she got half, I'm not a monster)The staff are always polite, friendly & helpful. The selection of treats is ridiculous! I left with 3x as much as I went in for & was not disappointed.? My top picks have to be the cream puffs filled with a delicious vanilla custard, flaky buttery huge croissants, and buttercream frosting..I mean the cupcakes! (with the amazing buttercream frosting) are the perfect size for cheating and not googeling weigh watchers immediately after.“

I plan to revisit this bakery regularly (but bringing my reusable cups if there's an option to use them).The only thing I would like to suggest is using regular ceramic or glass cups. I was quite disappointed to see single-use cups exclusively.“

This giant breakfast burrito was mainly filled with eggs and a little bit of refried beans. I left full but not feeling gross, which is a fine line to walk with a breakfast burrito.The lox and bagel was ordered by others at the table and it looked very similar - lots of of greens on the plate but they didn’t skimp on the lox or cream cheese. We all were glad to have picked this spot for our weekend brunch.“

We also tried the French toast crepe, which has an egg incorporated into the batter. Interesting. The espresso is good but the cappuccino is weird; they don't pour the milk through the crema at all, so it's mostly foam on top of a single shot. It can be folded through but I think next time I'd just get an espresso here. I really like that they have reusable cutlery and crockery, and service is brisk even when they're crowded. They also have a bunch of pastries if you're looking to grab and go. No parking lot but free street parking up to two hours. Friendly staff.“

“We orderd a very large quantity of heart shaped soft pretzels to give to out of towners staying in Philadelphia for a wedding. It was easy to place the order, the cost was reasonable, the pretzels were ready for pickup as scheduled (and they even offered advice on how to freeze them to keep them fresh for our guests), and most importantly, they tasted exactly the way Philly soft pretzels are supposed to taste. “I had such a good time at Awesome Little Cupcakes’ cake decorating class. This is a fun activity to do with friends, family, a date, or by yourself. I went by myself and ended up making some friends. I definitely learned some techniques during the class, but don’t be fooled - Cake decorating is not easy! I need serious help with piping and getting frosting smooth on cakes so I’ll need to practice a lot more on my own. However, now, I’ve got some good techniques that I can try at home and some that I haven’t even heard in YouTube videos. I’m thinking of going again and taking my teenage son with me for some sweet family time. I do want to mention the price of the class is definitely worth it. You are provided with everything you need: Cake, frosting, & supplies to decorate with. You get to take home your decorated cake in a box, and it’s a nice, heavy cake. The cake itself also tastes so good. I got the vanilla one.Parking: This area is busy so make sure to get there with time to find parking.“

I worked with Jen to place the order and work on delivery details and she was super responsive and friendly. She worked directly with our venue for delivery and setup, and it was such a seamless experience. She even helped me with a bagel tray order for our wedding party while we were getting ready int he morning.“
