“Very quaint, cute space. Lives up to the name of a "coffee bar". Was offered to have my coffee served in a glass, which was a brand new experience (there are also traditional to-go cups as well). There were two people ahead of me, and the wait time wasn't terrible, considering Dan, the owner, was the only one behind the counter at the time. He was really attentive to everyone who came in, stopping for a moment to acknowledge new patrons. His recommendation for a coffee from Honduras did not disappoint. It was very smooth and flavorful with no bitterness whatsoever. I paid $4.25 for a normal sized latte, which is cheaper than your Starbucks and Dunkin by a few bucks! All in all, really great experience. Nice folks, good coffee, good environment. Would strongly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of alternate milk options.Parking: Fairly small llot, but seems easy enough to find a spot even during the busier times.”

“A very nice place, differently decorated. The staff is great, friendly and very knowledgable about the food. The soup was amazing, lobster bisque, nice thickness and plenty of lobster, the portions are huge and good taste, the rolls are nice and warm, just hard to stop eating them....Im like pasta sauce in any variation, however, if you are a person set on your sauce, the sauce has a hint of sweetness, I liked it very much with my bread. The deserts are homemade, fresh, and very good. Looking forward to another visit.”

“We just had lunch there. The atmosphere was simply old world charm. One guest had the Turkey Rachel and he really enjoyed it. I had a burger and it tasted delicious and like it came off an outdoor grill. We were full so we took dessert home. The staff was very attentive and very pleasant. We will return”

“The food at Stewards is great. This time we ordered turkey subs, chicken cheesesteak, and a chicken sandwich. Mixed reviews on the turkey. Chicken cheesesteak was a bit dry but had good flavor. The chicken sandwich was one of the best my daughter has had. Prices are ok. Real issue is waiting times - almost an hour for 4 sandwiches is a bit extreme - will have to plan ahead better next time. “On a rainy day in March, we decided to drive to Pottsville to take the Yuengling Brewery tour. There was a flyer in the sample room for the Port Bar and Grill. Sign next to it said find out how to get a free pint from your tour guide. We looked at the menu, and it looked really good… So we drove over. We ordered the pork belly burnt end fries. Wow. Hot honey over fries and pork belly. What an amazing start. We were there during brunch hours, so I ordered the black pepper bloody mary and the surf and turf breakfast burrito. Fan-#%*@ing-tastic… we will absolutley drive back up on a weekend. Lots of promising options on the menu.”

“Wandered in for something to do while waiting to be called for meal reservation at nearby restaurant. LOVED the beer flight. Especially the Christmas Ale and Peach Cobbler Ale with the optional cinnamon/sugar on the glass rim. And I never thought I'd even consider beer like that much less enjoy it. The other, less seasonal-sounding beers were also spot-on. Need to fix whatever is not quite playing music in the main room but otherwise it's a wonderful respite. I'll be back!”

Moved away for about 10 years and every store/restaurant in town including The movie theater that was remodeled when I was growing up has been closed when I returned except Tommy's and I am so grateful for that. This place is just like I remembered. They have the best bread and Italian dressing ever I highly suggest going here if you have not and if you have then just keep on coming and bring along some friends... The birria quesadilla I ordered was so delicious - besides being MASSIVE, it had a generous amount of tender shredded beef and melty cheese, with a crispy (but not too thick) tortilla, which was easy to dip. The stew was full and flavorful, too, with notably-fresh cilantro and a good balance of oil-to-veggies. El Gordo is a genuine birrieria, and definitely worth checking out!
