“My food was really good.!!! Filet medalions over potatoes with red wine reduction sauce. Who would've thought a place like this. So awesome!!! Tonight was a live Neil Diamond singer. "I will be back.."”
“I have to say this is one of our go to places for local pizza. The pizza's not bad, they're from Canarsie, so we always have a good time talking about the city, service is wonderful everybody is super friendly, which makes a big difference. There are certain places that I've been to down the road in Tamaqua we are the service was so nasty. I'll never go back there again. I don't care how good their pizza is anyway, but back to how wonderful this place is. We were skeptical at first, but it really grew on us. Also, the Caesar salads are killer.”
“This is a takeout place first and foremost but a great one. They're cash only so make sure you stop by an ATM. Service has always been good, food never disappoints, and they're fast. I've never had to wait on my food and always get it within 15 minutes of ordering, sometimes faster!”
“I'm sure the atmosphere is great but being handicapped I only get delivery. Everything we ordered came on time and was delicious. I love vegetable pizza - NO olives.”
“This place has really good food, decent prices, the esthetics and theme inside the restaurant is so unique and eye capturing. This makes this restaurant stand out.Parking: Parking lot with standard meters to put quarters in.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is all on the same level, this restaurant is wheelchair accessible”
“Delicious wraps and charcuteries, amazing alcohol free options as well as wines… ie elderberry fizz with gingerbeer. Friendly and efficient service… patronize weekly and recommend to out of town friends every time with great feedback”
“Adorable place, and the hot chocolate / coffee combo is great too. And half the price they'd charge at a starbucks. Will stop in next time I'm in the area!”
“Love the place. Great service and good price. I enjoy the live music, games, and that they're open and a place to go to and do something fun & responsible.”
“23rd wedding anniversary meal. Comfy chairs and lovely atmosphere. Good music playing in background. We both loved our meals. Reasonable prices and friendly service.”
“Absolutely adorable bakery, and the food was delicious. My hard-to-please husband was especially happy with his breakfast crepe. Said it had "the correct balance." Drinks were also very good. The very kind lady who helped us was extremely helpful and a lovely conversationalist. We took her recommendation to check out the pickle shop, too. ;)Dietary restrictions: They do offer gluten free crepes, made fresh to order! Someone asked about them while we were there.”
“My wife and I stopped in for late lunch. The menu is very interesting- great variety. My wife ordered the kim chi fried rice and I ordered the pork pastrami sandwich. For an appetizer, we ordered the 1-lb chicken wings (garlic parmesan). The kim chi had a nice kick but still very tasty. My pork pastrami was even better than a regular pastrami- pork was lean, tender and very flavorful. The wings were huge and very juicy and tasty. We had enough for leftovers! Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and regularly checked on us. I'm so glad we were able to stop in. We walked to try it 2 years ago when we were here but it was packed. Well worth the stop!”
“Great place to stop. Great atmosphere, Don and Christina are are very friendly and welcoming. The vanilla porter is top notch and the jalapeno lager compares to the best of them. Must stop if your in Tamaqua.”
“Really neat and interesting cafe/bar in Jim Thorpe. Artsy/jazz vibe with upscale but laid back vibes. Chef John is spot on. Had the breakfast grilled cheese and soup of the day from the Sunday brunch menu.”
“This is a hidden gem. Best steak tacos ever and the margarita was out of this world. If I lived close I would go at least weekly. Service was fantastic! Very friendly people.”
“A very nice place, differently decorated. The staff is great, friendly and very knowledgable about the food. The soup was amazing, lobster bisque, nice thickness and plenty of lobster, the portions are huge and good taste, the rolls are nice and warm, just hard to stop eating them....Im like pasta sauce in any variation, however, if you are a person set on your sauce, the sauce has a hint of sweetness, I liked it very much with my bread. The deserts are homemade, fresh, and very good. Looking forward to another visit.”
“Absolutely adorable building. The food was unique and delicious. Highly recommend the artisan bread (with the most delicious oil), the steak burger and the steak salad. Lots of non-alcoholic drink options as well!”
“Now called Confessions. What a great hometown location. Live music great food kind patrons. Never any drama just a happy fun place to visit. Your hosts Ruth & Chuck make this location great. They have a game room with a bar in the back your gonna love it.”
“Awesome breakfast! Very timely. Never let my coffee get cold. Food was very very good. Table of bff's next to me sharing mimosas. Another table of veterans enjoying each other's company. Can't wait to come back!!!”
“Very quaint, cute space. Lives up to the name of a "coffee bar". Was offered to have my coffee served in a glass, which was a brand new experience (there are also traditional to-go cups as well). There were two people ahead of me, and the wait time wasn't terrible, considering Dan, the owner, was the only one behind the counter at the time. He was really attentive to everyone who came in, stopping for a moment to acknowledge new patrons. His recommendation for a coffee from Honduras did not disappoint. It was very smooth and flavorful with no bitterness whatsoever. I paid $4.25 for a normal sized latte, which is cheaper than your Starbucks and Dunkin by a few bucks! All in all, really great experience. Nice folks, good coffee, good environment. Would strongly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of alternate milk options.Parking: Fairly small llot, but seems easy enough to find a spot even during the busier times.”
“Great pizza always, but do not miss out on bread, rolls and pastry. One stop shop for all the best available when you are in Hazleton. When you bring something from Senape's you bring the best”
“Thank you for our delicious cupcake peanut butter cake! The cake was so moist (even the left overs a few days later) and the peanut butter icing was to die for! This was the 10 inch cake and HUGE!”
“I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this café by a Dominican coworker. Since moving to Hazleton I have been disappointed by the seemingly total lack of cafés in the area. I love it here! The coffee is delicious and everything is made fresh, not left out sitting in display cases. We also tried some pastolitos (honestly not sure how to spell that!), and they were excellent. The dining area is bright, comfortable, immaculately clean, and very welcoming. Highly recommended!”
“We just had lunch there. The atmosphere was simply old world charm. One guest had the Turkey Rachel and he really enjoyed it. I had a burger and it tasted delicious and like it came off an outdoor grill. We were full so we took dessert home. The staff was very attentive and very pleasant. We will return”
“Take a walk back in time to 1933. This place is a GEM. Small intimate bar and seating for 15. The phone rings non stop and the bartenders chirp orders into a microphone to the kitchen. Beer is fresh and ice cold and a steady stream of people come and go getting Pitza to go. We got a 12 cut half schamutz/Romano and half sausage hot peppers. The schamutz is flavorful and fresh tomatoes and pairs perfectly with the aged Romano. The sausage it shaved and the hot peppers have the right amount of spice and brine. Senapes in THE TRUTH.”
“Stopped by after camping with the family near by and we are so happy we did. Our server Tiffany was amazing and made some great recommendations. Would definitely recommended and stop by again.”
“Stop here today for lunch. Oh my goodness the food was outstanding. The service was great. Don’t have one negative thing to say about the restaurant. Definitely will stop there again.”
“You cant go wrong with ice cream really but the young ladies, even though a little timid, were very kind☺️...liked the fire place as well...country music in the background but not too loud. Television plaging the news i wouldve gone with cartoons?? ima revisit it was a nice and welcoming atmosphere Kid-friendliness: Ice cream of course, fried food, stuffed animal claw machine, gumball machine, drinks,Wheelchair accessibility: Theres no ramps, its ranch style so ease of access”
“I used Door Dash to get my order today. As I am just in Hazleton visiting my best friend over the holiday. I ordered the Cheese steak and tater tots. It was pretty good. I had it ate in a few minutes. Overall I was impressed.”
“we were visiting from out of state. My husband was from the area and we haven't been back for 30 yrs. We couldn't wait to taste the famous hotdogs. The food was awesome but our waitress was rude.”
“Wanted to eat in Jim Thorpe but found this down to earth Bar & Grill, food was excellent and the server was very thoughtful a d helpful. Not sure of here name but was working 2/17 a Saturday afternoon. Was celebrating my Birthday.”
