“I moved to the Burgh about a year ago. I am a pizza connoisseur. I like everything pizza, calzone, stromboli. So to be completely frank I was skeptical. I ordered a large calzone with the same toppings I always add. It was phenomenal. I ate the entire calzone in less than 45 min. I am hard to please when it comes to pizza, but Pizza Station and their staff have won my stomach. Do they have everything? No. But what they do have, they excel in preparing it.“

My family has enjoyed dinner there before, and as always, everyone was quite impressed with the atmosphere, attentive staff, and fantastic food. “My wife, our son Declan, and myself stopped in for lunch around 1 on a Saturday. Service was great and they were very accommodating to our 9 1/2 month old son, providing a high chair as soon as we were getting seated. The staff was very friendly and engaged us in light conversation. We got a medium pizza with italian sausage that was absolutely amazing and cheese ravioli with meat sauce, also very delicious. The restaurant has a very cozy, traditional feel that we loved. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and mad it was my first time there after living in the area for over 20 years.Kid-friendliness: Very accomodating to our son, giving us plenty of napkins, plates, and some crackers to snack on.“

“We’ve dined twice at Alla Famiglia and it’s the best Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh. Their portions are massive and we’ve always had enough for lunch the next day. The three things we recommend are the grilled octopus appetizer, any of the veal chops, and the seafood diavola. You need to see the size of the veal chops in person as pictures online don’t do it justice. We thought the Cavatappi tasted better than the Cacio pasta, even though Cacio costs more. Overall it’s pricey for Pittsburgh, but the quality is superior and you get enough for lunch the next day. Another tip is get a bottle of their spicy olive oil on the way out. I add it to many dishes for an extra kick and it makes for a great present.“

“This is a must see spot to eat fresh & enjoy great customer service. I’ve personally stopped in just to try one time and keep coming back. Declan is a super cool guy & always interacts with customers and if you’re a regular he’ll generally remember your order. If you ever thought about going , do not hesitate go down there today. “This was the first time I’ve been to Noodlehead and will definitely be going back soon, whether it’s to eat in or just order takeout. The Pad Thai was soo amazing and definitely the best I’ve had, and it’s a great price. I can’t wait to get it again and try other noodles also. Love that it’s BYOB as well!“

Amanda was very helpful in explaining everything, letting us know what to expect from certain smoothies or juices, how long to expect things to last after taking it home, etc. In addition, she made some great recommendations. “We've been here twice. Tonight we celebrated a 33 year anniversary. I had the scallops, my husband the pork chop. Everything was delicious. Lou greeted us and made us feel like we entered our own dining room. Throughout the night, we heard him greeting several diners warmly. Shannon, guided us on menu options. With champagne (BYOB) and delicious entrees, we had a lovely night. All was topped off with a refreshing key lime dessert. Can't wait to return!!“

“Really good açaí bowls! They have lots of options and the flavors are great. My only complaint is that it is expensive, and I wish they had Nutella as a topping! My bowl was made quickly and the employee was very friendly. Hope to be back again soon!“

“Bistro to Go did an incredible job for our vegan wedding. They worked with us to create a menu we loved and made time to answer any questions we had along the way. They had a complimentary tasting and the chefs even hopped on zoom calls throughout the planning to make sure the menu had been completely perfected. Shauna and the team also worked with us to provide the most inclusive menu possible - with plenty of gluten free options and nut free options in addition to the wedding being fully vegan. This made sure everyone attending the wedding could fully enjoy the food, which was extremely important to us. All of my non-vegan friends and family were raving about the food! My meat-eating uncle actually said "if all vegan food tasted like this I could go vegan." The meals were beautifully plated and the service was excellent. My non-vegan parents were so relieved and happy we went with Bistro. We had actually started with another company for our wedding, but after hiring them it was very difficult to reach them and when we did, it didn't feel like there was a willingness to work on customizing a menu for our wedding. We ended up switching to Bistro to Go and it was the best decision we made.“

“The food was amazing and the staff were very nice. There was a lot of options that were vegetarian friendly because everything was put together fresh.Vegetarian options: Nearly everything could be made vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Most bread like items were made with corn.“

“Anchor & Eat Poke is a Hawaiian restaurant in Wexford which serves fresh poke bowls to the north Pittsburgh area. They offer a variety of fresh ingredients in their poke bowls like salmon, tuna, crab, and chicken. The bowls are colorful and full of flavor. “We did takeout and this was some of the best pizza in the area. The calzone we ordered was also delicious. I was hesitant to try the cheese steak, since I love a Philly style cheese steak, but was happily surprised at how good it was. This will definitely not be our last time ordering from Crust.“

“Pastoli's is our go-to for delivery pizza and wings, we order from them regularly. We appreciate the variety of pizzas and the wings usually come hot and well sauced. The zucchini planks are also a hit in our house. I would recommend Pastoli's to anyone looking for good pizza. Also, we've gotten their gluten free crust a few times and it's nearly indistinguishable.“

“Road trip from Toronto to Pittsburgh. Stayed here for 4 days.My family members were all craving for Pho. Googled the best pho and Pho Van was top of the list.Quiet Easter Sunday in Strip District but not Pho Van.There was lineup outside of the restaurant. In my mind, it’s gotta be good.I went in the restaurant and checked myself in. There were few people waiting before me. Waited almost 25 mins.It’s weird that they didn’t sit us in when there was a table for 4 people.I asked the staff and they said there was one person in front of me.So, it doesn’t make sense to me if you want to sit 1 person at a 4 people table.anyway, that person got another table and I sit at the table which was ready 10 mins ago.————-Pho:It’s very pricy comparing to Toronto (i know I can’t compare but still…). A bowl of Pho cost me $18 USD (~$25 CAD) and it’s only one size.Soup base was nice. No heavy MSG. I ordered eye round pho. Portion was ok (Large size in Toronto), meat portion was just ok. I expected more for this price.The noodle was thinner than Toronto. It was nice.Spring rollIt was delicious. Freshly made. Not those frozen one we have in Toronto. “I recently tried this place for the first time via grubhub. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The delivery was timely, and the food was delicious. The portion size was perfect, and everything tasted so good. I also appreciated the message on the box “thank you for supporting our dream.” I will be back again, but in person. “My partner loves sweets, cookies in particular, and I wanted to find a local bakery to buy some goodies for Valentine’s Day. Was happy to see that this place offers cookie packs with free shipping! I loved the assortment and the specialty Pittsburgh inspired cookies. I’ve never ordered baked goods through the mail before, so I was worried about how they would arrive. However, they were neatly packaged and individually wrapped! And they were still soft. This place also allows you to add a custom message which was added as a sticker on the inside of the box. “What a cutie bake shop conveniently located in the Robinson shopping area. We couldn't decide on one flavor, so we got 3 of the little cakes, "Bundtlets"! Seasonal Andes Peppermint Chocolate Chip, Carrot Cake, and Red Velvet! Each were super moist and wonderfully flavored. The team was super welcoming, and the decor festive for the holiday season! “Started my Pittsburgh foodie adventures in this adorable little sit-down pizza restaurant in Shadyside! We tried the Pizza Del Re (white pizza) and Pizza Della Casa (red pizza), and both lived up to the hype! Pizza Del Re: - White pizza with mozzarella, truffle spread, & prosciutto (it comes with mushrooms too, but we got it without because my boyfriend doesn't like mushrooms) - A super rich truffle taste that was so yummy - Loved the thin crust, but there were parts that tasted a little too burnt Pizza Della Casa: - Red tomato sauce pizza with mozzarella, grape tomatoes, arugula, prosciutto, & parmigiano - I love the combination of prosciutto & arugula and it was a plus that the arugula tasted so fresh & wasn't bitter - I personally prefer red sauce over white sauce, so I liked this pizza a little bit more To top off your meal here, make sure to get their gelato for dessert! I got a small size with 2 flavors -- tiramisu and hazelnut. Both flavors were super rich and yummy and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.“

“Best gluten free bakery I've ever been to!! We are from out of town and I've struggled to find good gluten free things but I stumbled upon baked true north and it's amazing!!!! Chrissy was absolutely wonderful with helping us pick out different things to try and recommending their top sellers. “Went here for dinner. I had the gnocchi bolognese and it was terrific. They don't over salt their dishes and the portion was big. My wife had the chicken Parm and that was very good too. They use a thinner breading which doesn't make for a crunchy chicken cutlet.The place is cozy but that just adds to the atmosphere. And the service was great as well.I would definitely recommend a reservation as a smaller place this good fills up quick.“

“I come with my husband for lunch. We always get the lunch special and he LOVES the soup that comes with it. I adore the Tum Yum veggie soup. The summer roll is so fresh and the crab app is crispy and always hot. It’s a family owned business so that just makes it even better. You can’t go wrong with anything you get. Try the Musaman curry with beef. The owner is so sweet and that’s what keeps my husband and I coming back for more.“

“Amazing food! Truly delicious Italian food, and some of the best I’ve had in a long time. It’s a hidden gem that goes unnoticed way too much. A perfect place to get upscale food and classic Italian-American food. I tried the Pick a Pasta with vodka sauce and penne and a mini peanut butter chocolate bombe for dessert.Both items were stellar. The pasta was perfectly cooked, not too soggy or too Al dense. The sauce had a nice balance of sweetness and creaminess, with that tomato bringing in a touch of acidity. Great portion for the price, too. Highly recommend it.The bombe was a lovely little dessert, and the perfect size for a person (you might be able to split if you’re too stuffed). Rich peanut butter and chocolate, tasty cake. “I absolutely love Mr. Colombino’s coffee. It’s so smooth and creamy with no bitterness, the beans are so fresh and sustainably sourced. If you’re feeling fancy order the mocha. It’s not fast drink, because he uses fresh cacao beans and grinds them right there. And it’s not really sweet like a typical mocha, so the coffee still shines through. You can clearly taste both the coffee and the chocolate, being totally happy together in one cup. It’s the perfect balance for me, I would wait the extra few minutes for it any day. He truly takes pride in his coffee.“

“A Sweet Morsel is my go to bakery. I recommend it to anyone in the North Hills area. I’ve worked with them for custom cupcakes for an event we hosted and most recently for a baby shower cake. The ambience strikes a nice balance between classy and comfortable. We learned from the staff as they closed out for the evening that they had been understaffed.
