“Visited this morning for the first time. Got egg and cheese sandwiches, one croissant one ciabatta - both were amazing!! The lattes were delicious and rich. You can really taste the quality of the espresso. They were short staffed (1 employee who was grinding hard!) so I did wait about 25 minutes for two coffees and sandwiches. I didn’t mind that much and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!“

“We recently gave this place a try after hearing good thing and were blown away by the food and service.We had meatballs and ricotta, maple Brussels, pizza, and pasta.Their chef has a meticulous focus on quality and you can taste it in every bite of goodness.We will definitely be coming back soon.“

“Neat little space. Initially drawn here by a Facebook event claiming “free jazz”. It was a musician playing a giant xylophone-esque instrument and ended up being a delightful time. I ordered a glass of wine and was served an extremely hefty pour (no complaints here). Our server was really kind and checked on us intermittently, and ended up chatting with us for a while. Hope to go back one day when it’s nice out for a sit on the patio as it was pouring down rain while we were there.“

(We had a horrible experience at another resturaunt, so we left and came to Alta Via in Market Square!) He was so attentive to our needs and really went above and beyond! Food is always delicious, drinks are amazing and the focaccia bread they bring out is to die for. Highly recommend! And ask for Eddie at the Market Square location!“

Yes, Joe is our cousin and that is definitely warm and wonderful but Louise, Joe's matriarch, was there too which made it extra special. Lulu, chef, Delaney, "Ms. Brown", Linda and all staff were amazing and fun. So the food, sauteed arthichoke hearts, pasta fagioli, wedding soup, Chicken Romano, Veal Romano, beverage list unsurpassed and our usual standards and oh the red velvet cheesecake was picture and taste perfect. All food made to order fresh and it definitely shows the attention to every morsel we enjoyed. Oh, the bread is made locally and it's the best. “My wife and I stopped in on a whim for dinner. Great decision! She had the rigatoni diablo and I had spaghetti and meatballs. Our dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and fast. The decor was not fancy but the restaurant was clean and neat. All in all a great place to go for a satisfying Italian meal!“

“They make really good sandwiches. I had the Italian sub. The bread was soft and chewy and the fillings were tasty. I will probably go extra meat next time just because it tasted so good. My wife had the fish sandwich. This was no little fish sandwich! The filet of fish hung out a good 3 inches in each side of the bun. It's a plain sandwich with just the fish, but it was light and flakey (you can add cheese, tartar or ketchup. I would definitely recommend it.“

Garlickly flavor aand could have been tastier with some red pepper flakes.Neptune, with veal, was one of the few entrees served without pasta. “The owner knew my father so I order their pizza all the time!! I will admit it's great pizza! Perfectly made. I love their wings, which is new for me. they had a smaller location years ago and didn't make wings then. So I guess what I'm saying is their success speaks for itself. He owns a bigger shop than originally and its successful because this man is dedicated and skilled at what he does. Their food is made by a man who has done this for so many years of his life that he perfected his art!!!! So if your looking for good pizza, hoagies, wings, Stromboli and much more, that taste better than others, it's better to get it from a place that busted their buns to be a local family favorite. The crew in the kitchen and behind the counter are also amazing ? they are the oil that makes the wheels turn smoothly in this place and most of their efforts shine through!! “Our first visit. Very pleased. Nicely made cocktails. The loaf of fresh buckwheat focaccia with herbed olive oil was addicting. I had a tasty seafood linguine loaded with shellfish, calamari, shrimp, and fish in a mild white wine sauce. My wife enjoyed several small plates; the finocchiona and duck prosciutto followed by the shrimp. She liked all of them. Kate, our server, was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu options. It's definitely a good choice for a really good meal.“

“Well The Hood made his way to Monroeville Pa! Stopping at the coal pizza to try it. Well… the food was good had some white pizza and wings with dry rub ( recommended by our server, wings that is). Not a fan of the dry rubs but this wasn’t bad… Th e pizza was burnt on the edges but it’s their style but it was still good. Had spinach artichoke dip and it was great! Got a chopped salad also and it was delicious! Recommend both! So overall food was good. Service- excellent! He kept an eye on us and checked often if needed anything! Atmosphere- nice lots of pics of past people you’ll see when you go. And The Hood recommends you go!
