“Love this speakeasy restaurant. When we arrived and checked us in. a staff walked us to the another way and we thought what? are we going to the kitchen or something. Then it lead us to another door downstairs look mysterious way down. Love the menu here as well. There are a choice of ala carte or food testing menu by chef ( 2 options with regular or premium) We picked the premium tasting one. The drinks menu has Sake flight tasting. Our server was very nice and good knowledge of everything we ask about the menu. Services were great. It’s a must place to try in Philly for sure besides the cheesestake.Vegetarian options: there is a page for vegetables dishes“

“What a wonderful experience we had here. We had a reservation at 8:30pm, luckily for us we were the only ones eating at that time for the omakase. The chef was able to make all the sushi and serve us quickly, which was nice. All the fish was fresh and tasted delicious ?. Kimchi Omakase is truly a gem for the price. I will be back, I recommend you give them a try.“

“This place is SO good, a new neighborhood favorite. The sushi, robatayaki, and entrees we tried were all incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and well seasoned (especially the hangar steak robatayaki!!). Love that it's a BYO, too. The desserts were also a highlight - I would come back just for the cheesecake and the black sesame ice cream! Service was knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. We will be back!“

“Delicious, fresh, exceptional, and tasty! Loved coming here and it was a first time experience. It was so delicious I have told all my friends about it. The menu is very diverse so lots to choose from. I tried the shumai, mochi ice cream, king crab roll, and the crunchy roll! Very affordable for all the food I got! ($39). Parking is street parking but a beautiful walk.“

“Came here for dinner during Wrestlemania 40 weekend. Excellent service and the sushi was amazing! Especially the fried sushi with smoked salmon. Also got the shrimp tempura and sweet potato rolls. Wish had more room to finish it all. Pretty small place, so was lucky enough that it wasn't so busy. Highly recommend!“

“This is a good place to eat sushi and ramen. Personally, I ordered the miso soup ramen and I loved it: both the decoration of the dish, as well as the quantity and flavor, were in harmony; For starters we ordered gyozas, which were delicious. My companion ordered a shrimp tempura roll which, on the other hand, although it had a delicious flavor, the quantity was small in relation to the price. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff treated us very kindly, which made us enjoy the experience even more.“

“I've read most of the reviews here on this post and like the writers, I agree with the fine atmosphere, the food and the efficiency of the chefs but I didn't agree with and noticed with question the size of my sushi rolls in comparison to the four young college students that came in after I arrived, two of which ate the sushi w/their hands (clear amateurs and it's crass, lol) Having dined in several sushi houses across Center city let alone Philadelphia over the years this place WAS one of my favorites until last night.I've been here about approximately 5 to 6 times and I always felt a little bit of customer bias but didn't pay it too much attention until last night my suspicions were confirmed when I sensed a feeling of terse, unfriendly customer service and bias.I won't indicate the chef that displayed this bias but attitudes like this flow from the top.I WON'T be returning here. I'll remain going to their competitions in the area rather than to be "Sneak dissed on the low" and keep your self respect, dignity and character as a more sophisticated person rather than to be on the receiving end of socially biased, micro aggressions.I only think of what size w/the mayor's rolls be were she to walk in and order the meal I ordered, what cm size difference would she get served?Im not having sushi here anymore in 2024.“

“Fantastic sushi, great prices, quick delivery. The order is always correct, packed well, and the food is delicious. And if you're in the mood for a seafood boil, this is the place to go! Get the garlic butter sauce - spicy! Soooooo good.“
“If you're looking for a great Seafood store, look no further then Philly Lobster Gourmet Foods. I've shopped here for several years now and am always so impressed by the selection, and top quality. The shop is so well run, it's so fresh and spotless. Not only do they have great fresh seafood, they also have many specially prepared entries and side dishes that will surely please. They even have a wide assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables to round out your shopping list.“

“Only ate here twice and it was exceptional for the price. Honestly I thought the good reviews had to be fake bc there were so many and so highly rated. But it’s legit. It appears to be closed though permanently since it’s been down for over a month now.Hopefully the owners see this and will tell me they’re re-opening soon??“

“Took my daughter here for a lunch date. Overall the food was good. We both agreed that the gyoza was the best part of the meal. I had teriyaki salmon and she had beef ramen which were both good. The service was great and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.“

“The restaurant is super cute inside. Not very big but so aesthetically pleasing! The details in the roof were so pretty and fun. The food here was so good that we repeated courses. Seriously, the fried pork dumplings were sooooo good. The sushi was fresh and I have to mention that IT WAS REAL CRAB, no imitation. Our server was great with the table next to us but not the friendliest with us which was a bit awkward. However, I will say that Penne was a dang Rockstar and Her energy made up for our server's lack of it. She was so fun and vibrant. The duck (or chicken?) was so crispy and flavorful on the outside and juicy inside. The dessert was delicious! You get to pick 3 and they bring out these mini deserts that might as well have fallen out of heaven. My only complaint tonight was that we were basically seated on the table next to us. We were so close that we could easily sneeze on each other's food ? there were other tables that were empty when we arrived and remained so for the remainder of the night. It never makes sense when you have to be on top of another party and pretend not to acknowledge each other. Either way I give it a 9 out of 10Wheelchair accessibility: I was so relieved I didn't bring my walker because this place is narrow and it had stairs“

“Weekend happy hour yes please! Great sushi spot in Center City. The happy hour menu has most of your classic sushi roll and appetizer choices. The veggie gyoza was delicious. We also ordered the meet me in the summer roll which was refreshingly good. The mango added a nice sweetness that I wasn't sure if I would like, but it was good.“

“Super nice sushi spot! The presentation is crazy.... Our sushi was like diagonally stacked on a beautiful log lol. It's a bit much but it's fun. The kimchi rice was out of this world. I love a nice raw yolk slathered on my rice - a real treat. Definitely order this with your sushi instead of eating just sushi. Definitely pricey af. The rice was a regular portion for $16 before tax. That's meh. The sushi is expensive but all sushi is. Honestly it was so good but really expensive. Not sure how I feel about that. Service was 10/10. Definitely worth a try.“

“We had previously always gone to Vic's in Rosemont... (ie Near Villanova). This location in Havertown is fantastic. They are reasonably priced, but the food is always fresh and super good. I highly recommend the three roll deal :-) Their menu is expanding as well. Outside of traditional sushi, they have other entrées as well. I was shocked at how good some of the food was. I would highly recommend them.“

“We go there every time with my husband because the people who work there are the most thoughtful, hospitable, and caring people in town! Sena has always impressed me with how she realized who I was and what my name was on the phone when I called to make an appointment, always remembered that I was gluten free and made sure that I got the best service even on Bam Bam’s busiest days! I totally recommend their Bibimbap. My husband has almost tried everything on the menu and he loves them too. But again, nothing can beat Sena’s and other staff’s hospitality. We will go back again and again!“

“This store was great! Everything from the food to the service was excellent. I ordered the lunch special and was surprised at how large the portion was for the price. It cost about $12 for 3 rolls, soup, and salad. It's the best value in town. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Everything was perfect. I will order here again.“

“Located in a small strip center with a small parking lot and across the street from a much bigger lot, Osushi is a gem. We arrived for a late lunch. We started with the tofu miso soup (would prefer more tofu) that was tasty and a larger than typical serving. The tuna dumpling, tricolor tobiko roll, and the Naruto roll are pictured. The tuna dumpling included mango which compliments the overall taste. The visual appeal of every dish was outstanding (see the attached pictures). While a bit pricey, there's no denying the quality.Parking: There's a single line of parking in this steep center with a much larger public lot immediately across the street“

“So grateful to have a local sushi spot that i LOVE! I have converted several people to sushi lovers with this spot alone so that tells you how good it is! “So happy i found this place and finally tried it. Fairly new and luckily 5 min drive from me. Chill vibes inside. Food was on point! I came towards the night my first time with my bf. wish I got my server's name but she was very attentive and encouraged me to try things in my dish i kept avoiding lol. We got gyoza which is made with chicken (big plus I avoid pork) spicy tuna roll, salmon teriyaki and the Gyu Don. Had to come again the same week. This time ordered the Fuki Spicy Miso Pork Ramen and replaced it with beef. Same server w/ a younger man, still a great time.“

“We ordered on DoorDash. The bag was stapled at the top to be held upwards but the food was sideways. My rolls got soaked in sauce. Not a terrible thing but I’d prefer they were crispy. Highly recommend a different bagging/to go technique. The food was delicious nonetheless. I enjoyed everything in my bento box. The miso soup was good too. The dumplings were tasty but i had to pick out the beans/green vegetables was on it. Personal preference but other than that i will definitely order again. The salad was good wish it were more but it was a lunch combo so not complaining at all. Their ginger salad dressing was amazing.“

“I had an incredible experience at Tokyo Sushi today! The freshness and taste of the food blew me away. The dumpling soup was exceptionally delicious, and I couldn't get enough of the flavorful spicy tuna roll – undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The avocado they use is remarkably fresh, making every bite a delight. What truly impressed me was the variety of unique drink options that perfectly complemented the meal. “I love Kawa. It’s my favorite sushi restaurant so far and I’ve gone to tons of sushi restaurants in the past and in Japan. The presentation is beautiful, the servings are healthy, and the rice is just ?? delicioso. The servers are so kind and attentive. We love them. Also shoutout to the sushi chefs for being so talented and awesome. We always get their Toro and Uni sushi. Next on the list is hamachi, smoked salmon and tamago. Everything we’ve had was delicious and we’ve never been disappointed with what we end up getting. The only thing that sucks is when my gf and I are craving Kawa and we realize it’s Monday…We also try to limit going there to only once a month but we always break the rule.“

“Don't be afraid of the reviews; the food is pretty good, and the quality is also good; its fresh. “Loved the aesthetic and delicious sushi! The fish was quality! A lot of sushi places around here can get pretty crazy with what they put on rolls but Miyake has knocked it out of the park with its wonderfully balanced rolls. We didn't partake in the specials but it looks like they frequently change things up so we should always have something fun to try!“

“Can't beat their 3 roll lunch special for 13.95! They use quality fish and the ratio to rice is generous. The chefs seem more experienced than many other sushi spots in the same vicinity. I can't tell you how many times I had sushi that wasn't cut correctly and fell apart. The rice seem to be a little sticky but I rather have this than undercooked/old rice from Bleu Sushi. This is my go-to when I'm craving rolls for take-out.“

“This restaurant was an average experience with service being hit-and-miss and the food being about average for an Americanized Japanese restaurant. The food all tastes good, but it was relatively plain. The servers were all pretty young and occasionally inattentive. I am surely one that likes the staff to leave me be from time-to-time, but waters were often empty and you pretty much had to flag them down when you needed anything, even though the restaurant was only 25% full on a Friday evening. I would say that the Ramen bowls were good, but the miso-based udon bowls were relatively tasteless. What surprised me the most was that they didn't have any of the normal spicy sauce additives for the Ramen bowls, which are usually sitting on the table at typical Ramen bars. When I asked, they only had Siracha sauce as an option...which wasn't preferred, but did make the Ramen tastier when stirring it in. Again, the food was average, but would likely try another one of the many establishments throughout China town next time.Vegetarian options: There were limited vegetarian options, which is relatively expected in a typical Ramen restaurant. The reason that I was eating vegetarian was it was a Friday in Lent. That said, the vegetarian options were cleared labeled as such in English, which is helpful. I will also say my vegetarian ramen was tasty, one I added in the Siracha sauce.Kid-friendliness: I would not say this place is either kid friendly, or not. It is a typical restaurant that is at least not off-putting for families with kids. I brought my daughter with me, who enjoyed herself.“

“Quick cheap tasty and my go to for rainy cold days. Takeout staples like egg foo young and general tso’s are consistently solid. I would say they also have the freshest tasting egg rolls of all the takeout spots in south Philly. The veggies on the inside actually have some texture instead of being defrosted mush. Fried rice has decent wok flavor too surprisingly. Just can’t go wrong as long as you stick to the familiar dishes.“

“A very nice, quiet, casual eatery in Media, PA. A great place to meet when you want to enjoy a lovely meal, and be able to have a conversation at the same time. Unlike most area restaurants with loud background music or bands. The food is spot on, fresh and delicious. The service is wonderful. All staff are delightful and caring. Additionally, they make one Hell of a delicious Asian Pear Sakatini! :)“

“fat salmon was my first sushi experience ever almost a decade ago (when it was fairly new) and I came back yesterday and it was just as delicious as I remembered. I had the spicy scallop roll and the fat salmon signature roll. The pineapple cilantro sauce on top of that was incredible. Was the highlight of my meal. I also tried the sea breeze signature roll which was great.I recommend Fat Salmon for a cute intimate date spot or a catch up with a friend one on one. You must get a signature roll as I feel like that's some of the best items on their menu and what was most memorable from my first visit and this one. Shrimp shumai (steamed) is good but only have 4pcs compared to the 6pcs it came with when I first visited was disappointing. Outside of that it's great spot to go for sushi!Vegetarian options: I didn't have any vegetarian or vegan options however I was delighted to see how much they have available for people wanting those options“
