“Went on a Friday they had lent menu in addition to regular menu. No kids menu, but sides and apps easily made them happy. The fish tacos had very large pieces of fish and were cooked perfectly. Beer and draft menu was great, BBQ shrimp skewers were filling and Cole slaw was creamy style and very good. The waitresses seemed to work as a team and we were continuously checked on by several different team members. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. I have had their burgers in the past and they are very good as well.Parking: Building has ample parking on one side.Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoyed it here, no kids menu but many options in apps and sides (chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, quesadillas, etc)“
“It took us two hours to be seated and to get our food, but I was ok with that it was Friday.There is a reason why they are so busy. The food.I got the one pound Icelandic cod battered dipped. The battery oh wow. The best I've ever had. When the fish came out it was indescribably beautiful compared to what I've gotten elsewhere. This thing must have been two pounds. The bun looking like a fat women's swimsuit at the south Park wave pool, it didn't stand a chance. The amount of fries you get are legitimately enough for four people, and the side I picked which was zucchini fries...oh wow, I'm addicted.I don't know how they could have made a single dollar on my meal, it's insane.“
“Ive been driving by this place for a while now and finally stopped by, and WOW... Im very pleased I did! They cooked my Catfish Bites and Chicken Tenders fresh and fast. “Highly reccomend fantastic fish... didn't try the homemade hot sauce as I'm a tarter guy but maybe next time... got the fish sandwich and let's say I'm stuffed more than a crab cake.... Enough for two people or someone that's super hungry recommend the extra roll... only negative i can give is I'm not a fan of the Ken's tarter sauce it's a tad too thick like a paste... but then again it's hard to find a good pre made tarter sauce.... Wish they did a homemade tarter but i digress this is a very good fish place and the employees are nice and kind which is always a plus... will be back“
“The fish was huge & falling off the plate. I don't think I've ever eaten anywhere that they didn't forget to bring something out...like ranch or mayo, but it didnt happen here. You get a lot of food for a very reasonable price. The place was packed the whole time we were there. All the staff were nice & friendly. Definitely worth a trip to South Hills!“

“Had a funeral lunch there in October for my mother-in-law. The service was impeccable and the food selections were perfect! The staff expressed their sympathy. I attended another funeral luncheon recently somewhere else and the service and food was very lacking. Highly recommend having a group event here! The price was reasonable too.“

My favorites: stuffed eggplant, mazze platter, tabbulee, grape leaves and lamb shish kabob. The beet salad is excellent. Their seafood specials are always fresh and delicious! The swordfish kabob is outstanding if it's on special. Entrees include a stellar Amel's salad and warm pita bread. There's a separate bar with patio seating and a small bar in the dining room. Embellishing a great dinner is a warm and colorful ambiance of many hanging lamps, and the romantic mural on the wall will captivate your imagination! I've enjoyed dining here for years, and it offers good service and a moderately priced menu. Amel's is one of the few restaurants where you can enjoy a late dinner or small plates and cocktails. “I do not eat meat on Fridays during Lent. I went to Red Lobster & ordered Twin Maine Lobster entrees with cole slaw. I took it home & steamed fresh asparagus. Each bite of everything just popped in my mouth, so succulant. Danni, the hostess was patient & terrific. The manager, Meghan, went over & beyond by making sure my order was correct & entertained me a little while I waited for my food to be done. I give TEN stars because 5 stars is not nearly enough ? !“

“If you want fish during lent this is the place to go. I have never in my entire life tasted homemade products and baked goods this good. It makes me lent was every week. It should be noted that there's sides and a potato pancakes are out of this world I should be in a category all their own however however it's almost impossible to pick any favorite from this wonderful Display of fellowship“

“Ordered two burgers and wings for the first time through Doordash tonight. Best burgers Ive had locally! And huge too! Delicious! My husband got a side of green beans and kept raving about them too. I got a side salad and it was very fresh, and had excellent ranch dressing. (Us ranch girlies always judge a restaurant by their ranch and Gil's passed the test!) “While I don't often eat fried food, I found this restaurant while exploring Clariton. It's a little hard to spot. The menu looked interesting so I gave it a try. I ordered the shrimp dinner, but wish that I had noticed that only some dinners come with coleslaw. The shrimp were delicious, however. Be sure to order ahead, as the restaurant is popular, and does not really cater to walk-ins, as their menu is only available online. I will definitely be back.“
“This place is second to none! Top notch on everything. We had my husbands retirement celebration there last Saturday. We had another venue and 5 days before the event we decided we were making a mistake and called Lynn at the Red Lion Restaurant. On short notice Lynn accommodated every single request we asked her for. We had an extensive Menü, Stuff PorkChops, Roast Beef in gravy, Seafood Alfredo, Rigatoni, Red Roasted Potatoes and a vegetable melody, A charcuterie table that was amazing, the food was excellent, the service was incredible, her staff went far and beyond to make this event special!
