“I just got the Fish Fry food and let me tell you!!!! The fish sammich with lettuce and American cheese was awesome but then I ate the Haluski and that was made with some love! Homemade noodles, just the right dose of butter! The crab cakes are excellent. Every Friday fish from here.“
“We like going here been reading some of the reviews was a little hesitant about going again after reading some of the comments but gave it another try today. Service was excellent food was very good. Was very happy to see they painted and fixed up outside of building. We will continue to eat here.“
“Osaka was a very pleasant experience. Service was outstanding and very attentive. The menu was extensive with so much variety to choose from. Gen Tso's (white meat) chicken was superb as was the Hibachi chicken. Their Yum Yum sauce was excellent (yummy). Great California roll. The ambiance was somewhat too bright for us, would have been nicer with the lights a little dimmer. Definitely will return.“
“This place’s eggplant parmigiana is to die for. I spent many birthdays here. I have since moved from Pittsburgh but have been meaning to stop by. I can recall the linguine and clams being really good, too. It’s old school Italian. Good sized portions, fresh bread, and pleasant atmosphere/ambience.Parking: For some reason, people go to the bar and not to the restaurant, so there’s plenty of parking off to the side of the building.“
“Called ahead for a Saturday night reservation on a Saturday morning...got a reservation 15 minutes from requested time and was seated promptly.Read the recent reviews, therefore, did not order fried zucchini, or any appetizer, as thep portions were described as large, and they were! The wedding soup was served steaming hot with tender meatballs; could have used more pepper.Ordered two entrees;Alla pescatore, which contrary to recent reviews, was served with firm, not mushy linguine. Garlickly flavor aand could have been tastier with some red pepper flakes.Neptune, with veal, was one of the few entrees served without pasta. Good flavor and about twice a normal portion. We ate half of each entree, and shared a tiramasu for dessert...delicious!!B.Y.O.B.Classic Italian restaurant that is worth trying!Gigantic portion sizBYOBNeptune, veal,...tender and rich flavor“
“Stopped in as it was recommended by some locals. I ended up getting my food to go, but they had plenty of seating and TVs. The staff I engaged was friendly and helpful. I ordered wings and they hit the spot! I will definitely be back and will order the wings again, although next time I will get some pizza to go with it.“
“I grew up in Oakmont. Alot of memories at Hoffstot’s. My grandmother loved their homemade blue cheese dressing. In turn, we loved their blue dressing too. Hoffstot’s had a delicious homemade dressing with a ton of chunky blue cheese crumbles. DELICIOUS. Needless to say, this last visit with the Kraft blue cheese was beyond disappointing. Our bartender, Shawn, was a total doll. We LOVED him. Also, we LOVED the chicken parm. Just as I remembered.“
“We were in town for a hockey tournament, and looking for a place for dinner. This place is a gem. Great wait staff, and a quiet ambiance for conversation. Not a big place, but just the right size for date night or if you want to have conversation at dinner. Food was served fresh, bonus points for having fresh pasta!“
“We had a Delicious Dinner this evening at the Tarentum Station. Our server William was Excellent !!! He was Very Professional and obviously experienced. He was at our table at our table any time we needed him, he was very observant as soon as any of our drinks were getting low and took away any empty dish from our table. The Tarentum Station is a Beautiful Old Historic Building that is beautifully maintained. If anyone is looking for a quaint, very welcoming restaurant with Linen table linens don’t hesitate to go for a Delicious Lunch Or Dinner. They Will Not Disappoint !!!“
“The guys were so friendly and professional. My food didn’t take long. I just saw that they were open and decided to give it a try.I had the shrimp n grits and it was FIRE!!!!!! The potatoes looked a bit on the dark side but they were not burnt and tasted good. It wasn’t overly seasoned. My grits tho! They were creamy with a sweet taste. I wished they served breakfast more than just a day or so out of the week ?. I tried to come back the next morning lol. Please give this place a try. I’m a fan ❤️“
“This establishment has consistently changed and evolved their recipes until it became a excellent and super flavorful plate of food. I can say kudos to them for making it worth trying. Absolutely delicious chicken that pulls away from the bone! The bbq sauce on the ribs was fire and I would definitely order again.“
“Had a decent meal from the local LJS.#5 Value Meal. 2 Fish, Hush puppies, Corn, FriesFish 8/10 Fresh, flaky, crispy, hotHushpuppies 5/10 Filling, uninspiringCorn 4/10 Boiled right, tastes okFries 4/10 Mostly done wellShrimp 8/10This location is a drive thru next to the Giant Eagle. Getting in and out is treacherous. I felt like a Pirate.Staff is warm and friendly. I asked for extra Malt Vinegar and got it. The Malt Vinegar makes all the difference on the fries and kicks them up to a 6/10 if you drench 'em.Atmosphere 2/10 Feels and looks like an abandoned building by Century III.But they do the fish and chicken right. The main entrees, are always consistent. The sides felt like they were sitting out all day.How do I know? I got my order in under 5.Parking: I wouldn't park here. I would get my food and leave. Free Parking lot next door at Giant Eagle.“
“Coast & Main's brunch menu is truly exceptional! It offers an array of options, from delightful blueberry waffles to savory eggs Benedict. The service is outstanding, and the staff is always generous. Coast & Main holds a special place in our hearts and will forever be our top choice!“
“Barefoot is your normal Western PA bar food with good whole fried chicken wings with several flavors to choose from. The wings are done where the meat is still moist and the skin gives a nice crunch. The atmosphere is relaxing and it isn't a hectic bar. They also do a dinner and trivia night. Stop by if your in the area.“
“Best seafood EVER! Seriously best I’ve ever had. We had tamarind calamari to start, entrees were grouper and sea bass, then shared key lime pie and ice cream sandwich for dessert. They make everything fresh even the ice cream! I will say it was the most I’ve ever spent on dinner, about $200 without tip but it was 1000000000% worth it. The service and the vibe was amazing. My husband almost fell asleep on the couches there. ?“
“This is another version of Stormy Crab in terms of the food... The food was tasty, service was prompt, tables/floors and bathroom were clean and the waitress had personality. There's a bar for the drinkers and no wall scribbling like the Stormy Crab. They use RnB music for the background much like Stormy Crab. I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere only because for no reason, several customers wore strong, strong perfume which provided an unsettling blend to the smell of the food (Not the restaurants fault). The waitress was unable to seat me away from the smell, although there was a larger dining area due to what she described as being the only waitress on duty. My options then became to either leave or stay and eat... I chose the latter but regretted my decision the entire time.“
“A lot of times the cleanliness of an establishments bathroom plays a part in my review as before I get seated a lot of times my daughter and I go to wash our hands before dinner. This usually sets my tone as to what I'll be expecting in that visit. I am happy to say, the restrooms are probably cleaner than mine at home. Staff was very attentive, organized and friendly. Seems most of their business is take out so she was busy. I being alone and waiting for soccer practice to be over, decided to eat in. I got the tofu with bean curd. An order of spring rolls (not much filling in them but there are two!). My personal preference in Asian restaurants is to have fresh mustard but this place being they have large take out has the watery mustard which is a bummer. The tofu was slightly wok fried so that was nice. Not an over abundance of sauce, just right. Plenty of tofu but could use a tad bit more vegetables. Bottled water, pop and iced tea are the drink options. Overall good food for the price. I can see why they are busy. Only thing I wished they did not have would be styrofoam plates and plastic forks and spoons. I'd wish they'd have something a bit more eco friendly. The girl whom was busy at the front did come over to table check me which is a huge bonus. Nice. We will definitely be back.“
“Looking for the best spot in town. Hook Fish in Penn Hills is the place for you. Fried Catfish, oysters, tilapia, clam strips and more. Hooks also have a convenient store next door selling season pack. They use to make the food in the restaurant.Parking: More then 10 stop opened“
“It's a nice place to eat. The food is good and it's a decent price for the food. The service needs work. The hostess in particular. Though I don't speak their language that does not mean I don't understand body language, attitude and temper. I think she believes since we don't understand her that no one will figure out how mean she is. We just ignore her. I do highly recommend the food.“
“Food & service was great. Gave me a discount & free 2 liter to show gratitude for my business. ??blessings.Kid-friendliness: Very respectful, social, and genuine. And offered suggestions as to preferences in cooking styles.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking was very convenient. Handicap accessible for sure ?“
“Xia's is a lovely establishment with a great staff and ownership. Chef Joy and her husband Bo <sp?> are very personable and accommodating. I held the repast for my father's funeral there in January 2024, and they could not have been more kind. The food was great, and the facility was lovely and well-maintained. There was ample parking, and it was all hands on deck when my family arrived to put the finishing touches on set-up. The young servers were very affable. My family and I were quite pleased overall. We hope to use Xia's again for a more cheerful reason.I do have minor criticisms, such as the inconsistent hours, the lack of knowledge among some staff members regarding catering specifics, and the difficulty contacting anyone to discuss them. That said, the team made every effort to overcome those shortcomings. I'm confident that once they grow a bit more and secure more staff, all will work out swimmingly. For the record, I HIGHLY recommend the baked macaroni and cheese. It received rave reviews from nearly all of my guests! Thanks for everything, Team Xia's!“
“My family and I absolutely enjoyed this place as first timers and I love this place as a solo trip to the bar for a quick appetizer and margarita. My favorite waiter is Carlos. He was so funny, nice, accomidating and understanding with my llittles. He will make u come back just to see him lol. The food was fresh and good. Becoming a local favorite. We love the wings and beer too!“
“Food was okay, soup could have been hotter. Beet salad was tasty! We also liked our goat cheese flatbread appetizer. We loved the robot. We still got plenty of attention from our excellent waitress, but she just didn't have to carry all the dishes.“
“We went for the Easter Brunch. Food was delicious, so many options. Service was good. Only issue, our brunch time was 11-1. They stopped replenishing food at 1210. We were upset because we wanted more. Some people eat slow and pace themselves. The dessert table was minimal and consisted of frozen pastries from Sam's Club. They need to up their selection for next year. Also they automatically add a 20% tip for server that brings only drinks.“
“The food was very good and overall the serve e was very good as well. I had the Italian Chicken sandwich special which was very good, the fries were a little disappointing as they were unseasoned, and clearly got a plate full of overcooked bottom of the bag fries. I also got the French Onion soup which I was told they might not have but they did and honestly it was quite disappointing also. My work partner who I was with had the Pittsburgh salad which he liked and the stuffed banana peppers which were excellent according to him. For a Monday early evening of football season the place was reasonably busy and well staffed. The only downside was that there was a customer who clearly had a few drinks and had a problem with some other customers who left and sat at the bar dropping f bombs and other very harsh cuss words and the bar tender kind of seemed to be entertaining him and laughing. I’m not sure if she was just trying to diffuse the situation or what but thankfully he left within 15-20 minutes. I’m only in town for one night every quarter for work and with lots of small mom and pop local spots to try I likely won’t be back here but it is good to know that there is a decent place not far from my hotel that doesn’t have a chain name attached to it. I live in a small town and love supporting small town businesses as often as I can.“
