Kat's coffeehouse is cute, charming, has lovely decor, friendly servers, good coffee/ tea/ snack options, and is a great place to meet friends for an hour. They have egg bites, coffee cakes, cake pops, (food from Sweet Peas) and Penn State Icecream. A few of us from our neighborhood wanted to get together there and Todd (owner with Kat) set up a lovely area for us. Keto? No problem they have plenty of sugar free syrups and are not shy about customizing. Haley, one of the lovely, friendly baristas whipped up a keto Raspberry Frappuccino that my kids beg and fight over. We've quickly fallen in love with Kat and everyone I've taken there has found it charming too.“

“Such a great place to deliver freight! Very friendly people that care for what they do. I called hours in advance before my arrival and asked if I could park there overnight until my appointment the next morning. No problem at all. They even have a driver's lounge that is open 24 hours with a restroom and vending machines. If you need to park there, call ahead and make sure it is okay first. I'm sure they will allow it unless their yard is full.“

“Very busy in the summer but chill in the winter. They are pretty quick if you order something simple--it's pretty much all teens that work there. The ice cream is good and there is a lot of flavor choices. The parking lot is big but can get crowded at peak times in summer. It's the closest ice cream to my house so the location is convenient. “Custards is my choice for local ice cream stand. They may not have the selection of other competitors but their prices are better and they are friendlier than most. The only drawback is that they are not open year round, but that makes sense given their business, and I can't fault them for that as I'm the odd one who wants ice cream on January 1st...:)“

“Flavors change often. I've come several times and always see something different. I personally love getting the Extreme, which is their version of a DQ blizzard. You can choose what base from any of the available flavors that day and add toppings!! Usually most places do vanilla as the base.Previously, I got an Extreme with a Butter Pecan base mixed with Oreo and cookie dough pieces. That was unusual and tasty, but I also highly recommend adding their new brownie cookie dough bites! That really adds something extra. Flavored cones are a nice addition. Prices are comparable to other shops. The place is always very clean and there is seating available. My only complaint has consistently been staff. The kids working are not friendly, at times horsing around, confused on which customers need waited on.“

“We love this DQ. They do such a great job. They're super efficient and always super friendly. Getting the DQ App has been a game changer. It makes things so much easier. We use it to order at home and then roll up and it's always ready. They also have great specials in the app. We've had all kinds of sweet treats. Although the cake we wanted could have taken a day or two, Erinn saw how excited we were and was able to create a custom cake for us same day!! “Millie’s is a local Pittsburgh ice cream chain. This location is a small stand next to the Boathouse/OTB. There is also a newly paved walking/ biking trail next to the ice cream stand which is nice. The ice cream itself is delicious. We got a couple ice creams and a nitro cold brew. I thought the staff was nice and after you order, there are picnic tables to eat at.“

And if it's hard for the handicap to walk to the window and back on of the kids at the window will come out and assist then back to their vehicle. Again the employees are amazing...
