“We recently discovered Oak, just a half mile from our home, and it’s truly a hidden gem in an area with limited dining options. From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. Our bartender, Zach, was welcoming, knowledgeable, and offered fantastic recommendations—including the Steak and Eggs for brunch, which exceeded all expectations. The steak was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the eggs—a dish I had never tried before but will definitely be ordering again. My husband enjoyed the BLT Eggs Benedict, which was equally impressive. The thick-cut bacon, perfectly poached eggs, and flavorful hollandaise made for an unforgettable dish. The service throughout our visit was outstanding, and when asked for recommendations, Zach confidently told us that everything on the menu is great—and from what we tasted, we absolutely believe it. If we could give Oak a 10 out of 10, we would. For anyone in the area or just passing through, we highly recommend stopping by. Oak is a standout dining experience, and we’ll definitely be returning soon!”

“Great place with both outdoor and indoor seating. They have crabs, seafood, and broasted chicken. There are a good assortment of sides. The broasted chicken was awesome, and my wife really liked the crabs. It's a casual place with a nice casual atmosphere. It can be loud. We spent about $60 for the two of us, including the tip. That's comparable to what we spend at Mission or Red Robin and less than we typocally spend at Long Horn. Hanover is about an hour and a half from where we live. Today we were in the area for other reasons and decided to give Big Mike's a try. We will definitely come back, just to eat here, even if we don't have any other reason to go to Hanover.”

The server was less than desirable. No such thing as refills or prebussing tables. It was average at best. Prices are high compared to similar places. If I didn’t have a gift certificate I wouldn’t have chosen this place.”

“Saturday around 5pm. Not busy. Staff is very friendly. We love the show they put on cooking the food. Very funny staff. Constantly looking to see if you need anything. Drink refills, clearing plates. Food was amazing. Everything on the menu is wonderful. They even gave me complimentary saki when I requested it. We had a party of 6 this time.”

“What a night! I finally took Cooper for his 1st Lobster. After watching lots of “Coyote Peterson” uTube videos for a couple months, he’d been asking me to take him to eat one. Today was the day. Thank you to Hanovers Red Lobster & their General Manager Michael, he gave us the ultimate educational experience & even sat down with us & showed Cooper how to eat it. Mike got the meat out while Cooper ate it 😂😂. Cooper loved every bite of it & dipped it in his “hot warm butter”. He suggested his 8 year old friend Mia, try a “no thank you bite” ( that’s my rule ! 😂) And, she liked it! It was so funny! Had a great time. Cooper had a blast & enjoyed having Mia join him too!! They were SO wonderful with my two year old. We originally ordered him and milk and donut but they recommended a dinosaur drink (green food coloring, whipped cream and sprinkles). HE LOVED IT! Then while we were eating our donuts and drinking our coffees, to our surprise the Bluey theme song came on over the speakers! And so, my two year old had a mini dance party in the middle of the coffee shop. The shop was clean, the baristas were friendly, the food and coffee was top tier. So happy we have another coffee shop to frequent when we’re in York!”

“Clean with nice atmosphere. Greeted by Ana. Menu was full of interesting dishes. We both chose Pollo Flautas. Wanted a Corona to go with meal, but she explained that they did not have a liquor license, but it is a BYOB ((we'll know for next time).Watched other tables get served with some really wonderful dishes. Ours was delivered to table in about 15 minutes. Great plating of food. Taste was excellent. Took home our leftovers. Highly recommend this little gem in Hanover PA”

“I came to Ghouls and Grinds for the first time 2 weeks ago, and it was absolutely the best experience I have had at a local coffee shop. The coffee here is fantastic, and the drink choices are amazing. My husband also loves it so much, this is the only coffee shop we want to come to now. I appreciate that they don’t charge extra for things like different milks and for decaf coffee. The cinnamon bun coffee is our absolute favorite. And also- the staff here is very friendly. That’s a huge plus- I have had some disappointing encounters at other coffee shops in the area- but not Ghouls and Grinds- they are fantastic and if you have not tried them I 1000000% urge you to!! You will not be disappointed!”

But we don`t get there for breakfast much because you changed your hours. For us 10am is to late when you get up around 6am.Please try to open around 8am. “I just wanted to say, I have a lot of food allergies, so when I order a sandwich I order it without the roll. I always request that it be cut up because you all don't offer plastic knives. It's so hard to try to cut it or pull it apart with those little plastic forks you provide. Well today, we place our order and I tell the girl at the window to make sure they cut it up, my fiance also told her. Well it came out, NOT cut up so I took it over to the door. A girl asked what I wanted, I told her, she acted kinda snippy, she handed off to another girl who then rolled her eyes and she then had one of the guys cut it up. It took all I had to NOT open that door and let them know about the freaken day I just had of having to bury my mother-in-law!!!!! Along with everything else I've been going through these past few months!!!! I really didn't need nor want the freaken attitude! Maybe try offering a little plastic knives with your little plastic forks if it's such a freaken bother to cut food up for a long time customer!”

“Thoroughly felt welcomed mid-afternoon today at Perkins of Hanover! The Staff made sure someone was getting me my drink. Amy made 'The Best(special order) Chocolate Root Beer Shake for me. My HOT food was out in no time! The pictures on Perkins Menu are
SO helpful - but always a tough decision cuz the food is always good.... Best pancakes(especially in the Fall- the pumpkin ones), waffles, all types of eggs and getting into Dinners - Roast Turkey with the Works, yummy Beef Pot Roast and several options of seafood. They've even made the Tilapia for me for breakfast before! Fish is 'brain' food, an ideal start to my day! I LOVE that they have All Day Breakfast! AND I was able to donate to a very worthwhile community cause - customers & staff, alike, were donating left & right to a local family in need. KUDOS to all Staff at Perkins of Hanover - SERVING customers and the community!”

“Big Dippers came in clutch last week. My husbands Pop went into hospice and the thing he wanted most was a peach milkshake. Chikfila had just stopped theirs for the summer. I searched around and couldn’t find any, and he was heartbroken. I called Big Dippers and they had them! I came up and got the biggest peach milkshake I could get. The woman helping me was very sweet and helped me decide which type (hard ice cream or syrup). He drank some of his milkshake and his eyes rolled back in his head and he said it was amazing! He passed less than 48 hours later; that milkshake was one of the last things he ate. Big Dippers helped me make one of his last wishes come true. Thank you. ❤️”

Your custom cake and cupcakes were a show-stopper. ***I ordered a Highland Cow 6” cake (peanut butter mousse with chocolate icing) and sixty plus highland cow cupcakes (yellow, chocolate and pumpkin flavors) to supplement. The butter cream frosting had the perfect combination of flavor, smooth texture with just the right amount of sweet. The cake and cupcakes were fresh and moist (even after I had them in the refrigerator for an extended amount of time). The Cake Bar captured the perfect amount of frosting to cake ratio. Each treat was and simply scrumptious. The cake and cupcakes were delicately decorated and exploding with “WOW”. Your skill, creativity and artistic talent are remarkable. Each cupcake and the cake were a work of art of their own. From my initial inquiry, working through a concept and to final delivery, I was given a really personalized and professional service. I couldn’t be more impressed with the finished cake and cupcakes. Everyone loved them. The Cake bar is by far, comparable to none. I hatecto say this but the Hot Dogs were horrible. They were dry with a weird texture. I've spoken to several other frequent loyal customers and they said the same thing. I'm not sure if you changed your distributor, but I don't think I can go back. maybe for a cheeseburger with everything. I hope you check into this.”

And the staff were super nice and very informative too. If you come here try their pretzel beer, laser beer, dolphin and anchor ale and steam beer. We bought a case each of the laser beer and the pretzel beer and will DEFINITELY be back!!! I am so happy I found this place by accident. I received a very excellent roll with very little "hamburger" no discernible cheese and little onion flakes. It is almost as if it was sent out without the preparation process being finished. It certainly was not noticed by the server. I should have sent it bask. My bad! 2 STARS...The servers, except for that, were very professional and cordial. I also tried the Stromboli on a different visit - and it was excellent. I asked for extra mozzarella - and I GOT it. Ok, let's boost this rating up a notch and 1/2. “I've ordered here a few times, but this most recent time I ordered the outlaw, with a few small changes to fit my preferences, and it was the first time I had it; it was one of the best subs I've ever had if not the best. The customer service was great: everyone was polite, patient, and gave great advice when I was indecisive, the sub was DELICIOUS!!!
