“Me and my family were on a trip to Maryland when we needed an ice cream place to stop by. This place was worth stopping for. Nice homemade ice cream w/no gelatin for those who wonder. Good prices for ice cream. The teenager that was working there gladly checked for us if the ice cream had gelatin even though she said she didn’t remember seeing it. Nice outdoor area to sit and eat. Overall our family will 110% recommend to go there, even if it’s just to pick up some ice cream.“

“I placed my order through the app Tuesday and scheduled for pickup on Wednesday for 530 pm when I arrived and let them know I'm here they said the molton cookie would be another 10 minutes and she could make me the chocolate cookie with the strawberry cream cheese icing I was fine with that I said I would rather know that the cookies are fresh and not sitting and stale like my experience with Taylor Chip cookies over the weekend they said you just heat them up to be ooey-gooey I dont like my cookies stale or heatedx up to be fresh with tat being said, I was happy with the girl that waited on me was friendly, helpful she assured me that cookies were made fresh and they were making more cookies when I went back to pick them up after doing some shopping at Hobby Lobby. I couldn't resist but to try the chocolate cookie with the strawberry cheese it's very yummy and tasted freshly made I'm truly happy it's Valentine's Day so it was a nice treat. “Rita's is one if my favorite places for a summer treat. Their employees were training the last time I went but they were very polite and made my order perfectly. They also now offer flavored custard that I onky just found out about. It's so good.“

“Amidst a pandemic, we as consumers are making decisions for where we are comfortable shopping and spending our money. I haven't been to many in the past three months but those where I have, I want to recognize how they've supported their customers. In short, I showed up on a very hot Saturday (July 4th) and was met by a nice young woman who helped me quickly and with care of social distancing (plexiglass, offering to take napkins myself, etc). I ended up dumping two of my gelatis before getting them into my kids' hands in the car and only one was salvageable. The manager was kind in replacing for free. Thanks and keep up the excellent customer service. A bad interaction at this time can send consumers away forever. We go out for customer service, ease and a great experience and you delivered that!“

“Five stars for the best shoe house I've ever seen!Built in the 1940s, this stucco shoe structure has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and currently you can rent it to spend the night there. There is a fence and the gate was closed so we viewed it from the road and I was surprised to hear how many rooms are in the shoe, since it felt smaller than that from a distance.Mahlon Haines went out on a marketing limb and built it to promote sales for his shoe store business, and I have to think it's a shoe-in for a unique place to stay.“

“I go here when I'm in the mood for a sugar high and it's extremely hot outside. I grew up in Baltimore, so I still prefer snowballs, to Italian Ice or the other offerings at Rita's, but this location is closer to me than driving into Stewartstown, to Summer's Ice Cream & Snowballs. Rita's is good. I always get the Gelato because I like the combination of vanilla frozen yogurt and Italian Ice. Unfortunately, they never seem to have my two favorite flavors, Blue Raspberry and Blueberry. I opt for the Mango since they never have what I want. I think their prices are ridiculously expensive for the size cups they provide. It's just flavored, sugar water, and frozen yogurt. The other thing that irritates me is that there's a tip jar at the window. Their prices are high enough already. What is the tip jar for? It's a walk-up window; a 3-minute transaction where you order a takeaway dessert with no service involved. It's really an insult. It's not that I'm too frugal to leave a tip, but not for fast food or takeout. I would recommend Rita's for a delicious treat on a hot, summer day. If you're from Baltimore, I would recommend driving a couple of miles down the street to Summer's Ice Cream & Snowballs.“

“I've been going to the shops since I was dating my husband. Our kids have grown up coming to the store every Spring through the summer. We watched the grandfather's grandkids grow up and now take over the store. It's a family Run shop That makes you Feel like family. For the price of Rita's you're going to get 5 times as much with way more flavor options this is the best ice place in all of York County.“

“After a certain number of purchases, you are entitled to a "free" cup. My "free cup cost me over $6. The "free"cup is up to a $5 value. The price is based on weight. We usually go when there is a $5 fill up. When the cashier said you still owe 6+dollars, I almost said forget it. By that point, it is difficult to just walk away. Suppose it was my own fault but I felt a little taken advantage . The Shrewsbury location will just give it to you, no charge. Perhaps, that has changed.I shouldn't complain for something free, right, but I can get a gut busting banana split for $6.50 at Mack's.The multitude of toppings and flavors makes for an excellent custom made dessert to your liking. Just sign up for texts so you know it is a $5 fill-up day. A family of 4 could easily spend $40 to $50 for an ice cream treat otherwise.“
