“Uniquely seasoned food served promptly and pleasantly. Outdoor seating is available in a private booth design that's very 'public' since it's on the sidewalk. The interior design is remincent of authentic Chinese culture with wooden dragons carved in the wall. You can sit at the bar or sit in the main dining area. The culinary delights are streamed, gluten free or lightly fried. The chilli sauce/oil is a nice surprise it's fragrant with a hint of perfume of anise, cardamom and clove, amongst other herbs, all smothered in oils and Sichuan pepper. I highly recommend this spot.“

“We came here on a Saturday night during a convention and they conveniently had enough space for 7.
The service was great, the staff were kind and courteous and helped us order and decide how much to order.
The portions are generous and the food is well seasoned and delicious. The food is also authentic so try out a variety of stuff!! I'm excited to come back and try their duck!“

“Great wonton noodle soup house. Quintessential Chinatown experience. Wonton Soup still pre-Covid priced at $7.50/bowl. Extras inflated the cost but brought me back to lunches and its friends and family. Served with hot tea and appetizer plate of roast pork, duck, and crispy pork belly. Fed four of us at $80 with tip. Come in for a regular meal in Chinatown. No fancy experience but good home cooked meal.“

“Super popular skewers place which attracts a younger crowd. We managed to snag the last available table. We ordered by marking how many of each item we wanted on the paper menu. It's a little pricier than skewer carts but the restaurant and a lot more overhead to cover so understandable. They have skewers for meat and vegetables and some noodles dishes that come out on a small grill. We got mild because we can't handle spice. Our first plate of skewers which included beef, lamb, frog legs, chicken wings, heart, gizzard and chives were a tad spicy but everything was really good. My husband didn't like the chives because they were chewy but you just have to pull one strand off the stick and eat the whole piece. The chicken wings were really yummy and had a nice distinct savory flavor. Gizzards and hearts were cooked well and we ordered them again in the second round. The frog legs were a tad dry. We also got squid, Taiwanese sausages, oyster mushrooms, chicken and pork belly. I didn't really like the pork belly because it felt fatty but my husband liked it. The Taiwanese sausage is on the sweeter side but definitely crispy and juicy. The squid tentacle is very tender while the body has more chew and bite. Overall definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the mood for skewers.“

“Had a very satisfying meal here. The dumplings were delicious. I tried the boiled and pan-fried dumplings, and I like the boiled ones better. The pan-fried ones looked smaller than in the picture, and the filling was a bit too salty for me. The boiled dumplings were perfect though. The dumpling skin was just the right thickness (not too thick, but also not wonton-wrapper-thin), and the filling was flavorful and juicy. There were probably 1-2 shrimp pieces in each filling.
The scallion pancake was also so good. It was flaky (like a roti) and really not too greasy, which I appreciate because scallion pancakes usually are really greasy. They were very fragrant and just made perfectly.
The beef tendon was also good. It had a good chew, and wasn't cooked down too much, which is how I like it. It was on the saltier side though.
The mushroom meat noodles weren't bad, but probably my least favorite thing out of everything we ordered. Everything else was just really good. The mushroom mix was a bit sour (and not from the picked mustard). The noodles were a bit overcooked and a little bit too thick for my liking. The clear broth it came with was fragrant, light, and comforting though.
Would love to return. Food was delicious and satisfying. Out of everything, my favorites were the boiled dumplings and scallion pancakes. Service was great, and atmosphere was clean and calm (they were playing some jazz music surprisingly). I did find it odd though that the servers rushed to give us the check and made us sign when we were still eating, even though the store was 90% empty (we came in at 11am Saturday). I wasn't sure what that was about, but the service leading to that point had all been fine.“

“Best place ever in Philly for authentic Cambodian food. Mama been cooking forever, please don’t forget to tip them. This truly is a small business that deserves its recognition. Lok lak is YUM (beef salad dish), mi ka thaong (flattened noodles) is one of my go-to’s, their homemade pho is spectacular. Everytime im in south Philly, this stop is a marvel. 💗🪷 love to this store“

“My 2nd time at this location. If i rated them the first time they would have gotten 5 stars.. both combined 4 stars would i come back? Maybe. The first time I had their wings I gave chefs kiss. Yesterday not so much, they were hot but not fresh, they tasted like they were sitting under a hot lamp. Second time a little hard and a little dried out. I drove into the City just to come here .. I didn't pre-order. Both times I got fried rice both times the rice was meh.. it's not a traditional fried rice. It's more like a rice medley. The prices are affordable for sure“
“The halal gyro express cart at the corner of 13th and chestnut is by far the best halal food I’ve ever had. The chicken and rice is out of this world and the white sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Keep up the good work!!!“

“Made reservations at 7pm at loch bar for my sister’s birthday. I got there first and since my sister was a few minutes away, the host couldn’t seat me without her. My sister arrived at 7:05pm and the host informed us that it was busy therefore we would have to wait at the bar until there is a table available. I’m not sure what is the point of a reservation, if you won’t be seated right away. The bartender was really nice and welcoming. 20 minutes later, there was an open table. The appetizers were delicious especially the mussels!!!! The caviar and potato skin were sooo good as well. The oysters were fresh & cold just how I like it. I ordered shots of clase azul for my sister’s bday and we decided to do a bump of caviar & a shot of clase azul. It was a great combo! Thank me later.“
“It's a very suitable place for leisure parties, and we are lazily basking in the sun. Watch the children play.“

“The negatives out of the way:
- The counter person could use some training (I called to place an order and was told to place one onine?)
- If you order the peach wontons, get them without whipped cream...not sure why a takeout place is topping dessert with something that doesn't travel but they were still tasty when soggy.
- Also the crab rangoons are not good. It mostly tasted like old bay mush inside a wrapper.
However, the General Roscoe's chicken, soul and collard green eggrolls, and especially the oxtail lo mein are more than enough to get this to an easy 4 stars.
- I was expecting to see where the line of "east meets west" flavors collide, but the General Roscoe's chicken became something else entirely, in a good way.
- The egg rolls were perfect and the wraps they use are different and have a great texture.
- The Oxtail Lo Mein is the star of the show. Super flavorful and you can really taste how long the oxtail was cooked. This is an immensely rich dish in all the right ways and I will be back with anyone who will listen to me to have it again.“

“Heng Seng serves the best soups for a chilly winter day! The Phnom Penh soup is super flavorful, featuring a variety of proteins like pork and squid. The side of fried dough is fresh and crispy, making for a perfect complement to the soup. Would highly recommend!“
