“I ordered the "mini meal" of eggplant Parm with spaghetti. It came with a roll, 2 veggies or 1 veggie and a cup of soup and dessert of pudding... All for just $9.99. For my veggies, i got pickled beets and broccoli which was fresh broccoli. I enjoyed my meal. My husband ordered the chili fries which he said could've used more chili and the bacon cheeseburger. He liked his meal. The place is an old time diner with counter seats as well as tables and booths. The bathroom was clean. Our server was great!!!“

All were very welcoming. The food was fantastic. We shared Stuffed Mushrooms, Stuffed Shrimp, Scallops, and an amazing Filet. Got some Maryland Bisque, and Lemon Cake to go. Again, fantastic ! Best, best, food and atmosphere we have enjoyed in quite a while. Loved it ! Also, the owners, and the rest of the staff were equally as friendly. Can't wait to go back !!“

“The ice cream and atmosphere are great! The service leaves much room for desire - I would be so happy to partner with the owners to help operationalize this location, things have definitely improved and we obviously understand that the location is staffed by students, but there are times you'll stand there for 20 or 30+ minutes for an order of 2 dishes of ice cream. The ice cream and the location make the convenience of waiting worth it, as does the great atmosphere, but in the moment it is challenging when waiting for so long for a simple order.“

“We decided to try Arbor Inn after reading so many great reviews. We figured we couldn't go wrong for our anniversary dinner. The decor and style indoors is very outdated and crusty. Service was extremely slow and our server was inexperienced for someone that should be serving at a place with the high ratings. The best part of our meal was the mango chutney on the Jerk Shrimp appetizer. The grilled boneless ribeye was overcooked, fatty, and chewy. The Jager schnitzel was full of breading and overcooked. For the amount we paid and the quality of food, it was extremely over-rated and we paid far too much for what we got. The reviews seem to be propped up by the "regular" patrons that frequent this establishment. We will not return.“

“I had a 2200 mile fiber optic contract in Pittsburgh, PA. It lasted 12 weeks. I went to Longhorns at least once a week if not more often. I love the Outlaw steak. That's all I ever get due to the fantastic flavors and tenderness. My youngest daughter (23 yrs) joins me with the Outback. But, the rest of my family enjoys the filets, Salmon, and chicken entrees.I know that almost $30 for the Outlaw could sound a little expensive. But, when you compare the same steak ($50) at other restaurants. Do the math.... I'm not naming the restaurant. I've had two $50 steaks. One absolutely the best. The other not even close!! I know Longhorn is always consistent.PS. You definitely have to try the sweet potatoe with butter and cinnamon! It's like dessert.“

“-We came through on a Saturday afternoon, about 3pm. It was the opposite of crowded- we were immediately seated, though it was odd that with the abundance of empty tables, even by section, we were placed right next to other full tables, making it a little awkward. When I first went in, I used the restroom where 2 of the toilets were clogged. After I used the toilet, i washed my hands and saw someone walk by me without washing and when I followed them out, they walked straight into the kitchens. Yes-an employee. My husband and I wanted something that wasn't fried fast food, and this was definitely better than choosing a mcdonald's or burger king. We ordered the pork belly sticks and the shareable plate. Everything was good. I enjoyed it all without the extra sauces, and my husband sampled the sauces, determining his favorites per meat. I also had a well made margarita (no complaints there!). Our waitress was kind. Overall- i enjoyed it (other than the employee not seeming to wash up) but my husband thought it was just alright. He said he would try a sandwich here next time. We would return if it meant skipping fried fast food.“

“We cannot speak highly enough about Stokesay, their entire team, and, most importantly, Hannah Kufro, our Wedding Coordinator that we worked with! My wife and I signed our venue contract one-year to the date ahead of our big day, with a different coordinator, one who ultimately ended up transitioning to a different organization just a week before our tasting was scheduled. For a couple planning a wedding, especially so close to their big day, this would normally have been an incredibly stressful change to hear about, however, we were expeditiously contacted by Hannah and met her days later at our tasting – immediately after meeting her we knew we were in great hands, and we both agree that our initial impression was spot on. Hannah’s attention to detail, flexibility, and knowledge have continued to impress ourselves, our parents, and our guests who experienced a phenomenal wedding just this past weekend. She not only hit the ground running with our event, but confirmed several details and was able to work with us to ensure our wedding day was as perfect as possible. While I have personally sent messages to several friends I know who are engaged and looking for venues, I wanted to share this note here for those couples looking for venues – Stokesay should 100% be on your list; the charm, history, venue, and staff will all make your big day as perfect as you could ever dream of – if anything, just go check it out – once you see this in person you’ll see exactly what we are talking about. With deepest gratitude,Blake and Lindsay Tobias“

“We've only once had a problem getting a table, and that was on trivia night. It's never empty, but never full, either. We go about 2x a month and it's always just right. The wing sauces are inconsistent because they're all homemade and they measure by eye, but the wings themselves are always cooked perfectly. Sandwiches are good, so are soups and pasta. Don't really have any real criticism other than each Klinger's location is different. So if you had a bad experience at one location, that doesn't mean the others will be the same.“

“UPDATE! I returned to this restaurant, now named “American Diner.” I ordered the same thing as before. Eggs, home fries, turkey bacon and grits. I also ordered a New York strip steak because that is what my bestie ordered on my last visit. Upon arrival I was immediately taken to my seat. There were plenty of other customers there as well on this Sunday morning. My servers name is Samantha. A very beautiful melanated woman who just happens to look like Clarissa Shields the current GWOAT of female boxing. She was one of the nicest and prettiest servers I’ve had. She was on top of her job and did it very well. There were no problems with my order and she asked several times throughout if I needed anything else. I dove into the grits first because that’s why I was there. I added butter, salt & pepper than dove in and to my surprise, they tasted a lot better than before. The previous time, they weren’t edible, but this time they were so I dug in. I cut the steak and ate a piece and noticed that it was a little tough and it needed more seasoning, but it wasn’t bad at all. I just added some table seasoning and some A1 sauce and everything was fine. The real test was eating the grits with the eggs and bacon I ordered. Well, I ate everything on the table and not once had to ask for a replacement or for something to be made over. It was cool sailing once my food hit the table. No, their grits aren’t the best and still need some work, but they are edible now and will not disappoint those who love them as much as I do. I was impressed with the cooks because the restaurant was packed and my meal was not under or over cooked. Everything turn out great considering how packed it was. I’ve taken the luxury of adding more stars to this review for atmosphere, food, service & overall quality. My name BigDaveIsFat says it all. “Get Your Grub On” folks! Check out the pictures below!“My first review! The grits were the nastiest I've ever attempted to eat. I sent them back seconds after they hit the table. My friends steak was 85 % fat/gristle making it next to impossible to eat. I am a superior grit maker and I suggested they remove this item from their menu until their staff learns how to prepare them properly. The grits you see in this picture were made me. Creamy with #NoLumps”“

“First of all, without further ado, or any ado for that matter, a hearty❤️shout out to four of the best bartenders who know their craft, their customers, and the meaning of the word comraderie. They know how to pour, what to pour, and who to pour it for. I never name names, but in this case, I will set a new precedent. Kudos to Kyle, Paige, Bailey, and Ryan. Each of whom, it would seem, come from different worlds and life experiences. All of whom are going places, be it in academic education, hospitality, entrepreneurship, or perhaps being the best at building a conventional life with style, love of life, family, and humanity in the aggregate. Dare I say it, the last of a dying breed.I've met some of the most fun and prolific characters at 24 who've made me feel at home in Pennsylvania, although I am from afar, i.e. Philly . The kind of folks who go out of their way to say hello as they make their way to the bar.Sometimes, after work, feeling a bit peckish, I will peruse the menu and discover some great interpretations of salads (Caesar) and snacks (Truffle fries) that hit the spot and keep me busy enjoying one of my favorite past times: eating. And from what I've seen at various and sundry tables at various times through the course of any given evening, this kitchen delivers hearty inspired entrees sure to give you reason to give positive word of mouth with regard to culinary talent. For myself, I'm going in - and intend to try nearly every item on the menu. One of the many reasons to make this establishment one of your (and my) weekly go-to's. See you at the bar.P.S. “Gotham's vigilance extends beyond the shadows, even to the quaint corners of Reading, PA, where Batmanjawn, recently ventured into a unique and historic building. It was Judy's on Cherry, which stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, a sanctuary where even the Caped Crusader can find respite from the eternal battle against crime, a haven of culinary delights where heroes and ordinary folk alike can find solace in the simple pleasures of good food and great company. I was greeted by the warm glow of vaulted wooden ceilings and the aroma of freshly baked focaccia bread, a sensory experience fit for a hero. Gail, the hostess, with her gracious demeanor, welcomed me with the warmth of a trusted ally, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The butternut squash soup started the meal off Bat-tastically. The old fashioned packed the punch of the Batmobile's turbo boost. The filet mignon, tender as a villain's heart after a night in Arkham, paired perfectly with a side of mashed potatoes and veggies that would make Alfred proud. But it wasn't just the food that left me in awe; it was the service, embodied by Steve, a stalwart guardian of hospitality, a waiter of unparalleled dedication and charm, whose smile could rival even the Joker's grin. With 17 years of service under his utility belt, he exemplified the hospitality that does justice to Judy's reputation of excellence. The unique cigarette-turned-magnet dispenser, made me marvel at the ingenuity of humanity, the resilience of the human spirit. It was transformed from nicotine machine to an artist’s dream. Poetic. As I stood atop the payment folio, passing my Judy’s gift card like a torch of patronage to Steve, I couldn't help but feel that Judy's on Cherry isn't just a restaurant; it's a sanctuary for the soul, a refuge where heroes and artists alike find solace in a world fraught with chaos. To Judy's, I say: may your lights never dim, your flavors never fade, and your legacy endure like the legend of the Batmanjawn.“

“Hands down the BEST fried chicken wings in the City of Reading, Pa & has been for more than 30 years. I wasn’t born in this City, but I’ve been eating these wings for more than 30 years strong. Many years ago, he used to have more tasty items for sale, but over the years has reduced it to what customers really want/need which is Soul Food. Headlined by the best fried chicken wings the City of Reading has to offer. Before I begin I must tell you that I am only here to review their wings & fries, delivery through DoorDash has only been available for a a month or so. Prior to this, it’s ALWAYS been pickup. The fries are the basic straight cut fry. They weren’t over or under cooked and matched up well with the wings. The added roll is a black thing. I am black so please don’t think that was a foul statement. Most of us, myself included will not eat fried chicken without bread. It doesn’t matter if 10 pounds of fries were included in the platter. There must be ? As you can see, each piece of chicken was coated and cooked properly. There was no darker or lighter pieces. Every piece of skin on every piece of chicken was the same color. This tells me that no matter how busy they get the food quality is consistent. Please note that this place gets real busy so sometimes DoorDash isn’t available. You may have to call and place your order then pick it up. These wings were served hot which is always a plus when being delivered. Seasoned to perfection with crunchy exterior and a juicy interior. Once you take a bite, you won’t stop eating until all of your wings are gone. Don’t even think about sharing them with a fellow newcomer. Pay the money and get everyone their own platter. Another plus was that I didn’t notice any hairs on my chicken. Now I’m not saying that your piece won’t have any, but mines didn’t. If you happen to stop by, tell them Big Dave sent ya. The best fried chicken wings in Reading, Pa. With that in mind, my name BigDaveIsFat says it ALL!“Get Your Grub On!”“

“This is a classic bar as it is one of my all time favorite places to watch a sports game. I’ve been coming to Decarlos for years now and Danny has a great business going here. The bar food is excellent and I don’t believe I ever ordered a drink that the bartenders didn’t know how to make. Also, great service and friendly people.“

“The best breakfast-brunch-lunch-dessert place anywhere around! There is definitely something for everyone so it's great for meeting people there. Breakfast items are available all day :) There are multiple meat-free options. The falafel is one of my favorites. Today, I had a spinach feta pretzel wrap, and the braided soft pretzel was so good! I am especially called to this place in the colder months because there are so many comfort food options. The weekly specials add variety, but I always have a tough time choosing from the regular menu. I just really need to get here more often!!“

“Third Rail is one of our go-to local spots for burgers and apps! Their bleu cheese burger is my favorite, but I like most every burger I've tried there. Their menu is reasonably priced, and the location is cool -- right near a train track (hence the name). Other sides/appetizers we typically choose when dining in are their pierogis, quesadillas and of course their Old Bay fries. So good!“

“We stopped in for lunch following a medical appt. It was a Wednesday around 12 noon. The place was not crowded at all -- indoors nearly every table was vacant and outdoors a few tables were vacant. (It was a low-humidity day.) I ordered a pizza + a salad; he ordered a cheeseburger + fries. The pizza was very good and since I can't eat cheese, one of my toppings was comped. The smallest pizza was more than I could finish for a lunch -- or a supper, for that matter, unless I were famished. The salad arrived in a 5" square dish -- romaine, assorted greens (the arugula was a nice touch), shredded carrot, diced tomatoes and a cucumber slice or two -- plus the tasty vinaigrette. His burger looked delicious with the melted cheese (provolone, I think) dripping down from it. He usually orders medium-rare but the middle was more done that that. Still, he had no complaints and seemed to enjoy it. The fries looked fantastic but I had enough to handle w/ the pizza and salad. Our server, Amaya, was attentive and helpful. The industrial feel of the place is not the type of decor I gravitate toward, typically, but it was fine. A lot of the tables indoors are of the high-table and high-stool variety. There is a large bar and you do not need to wait to be seated if you sit at the bar. This was not a concern with the place nearly empty upon our arrival. By the time we left, a large group (a busload?) had entered and gone to some side room (? they disappeared somewhere) and quite a few other tables had filled up. The food was very good here. It was $40 for the two of us for lunch w/ no booze - just waters and iced teas. It was probably $48 w/ tip, if I know my hubby. If I had been by myself, I probably would have taken an outdoor table, but with hubby along and a high today of 86, we opted for indoor seating. Great to know that this option exists for the "it's Friday night and no one in Berks eats at home on Friday night" syndrome.“

Generous portions and inexpensive. Service is fine. Have an option of hash brown or home fries for most of the breakfast options (the hash browns seemed the better of the two ?)“

“This place was nice. We started with nachos and I must say it was a big serving size! I went on to order their wings and fries. I am glad they place the sauce on the side because their wings are really delicious on their own. The fries were really good as well and they are not greedy in terms of how much they give. It was plenty. Also, don't get me started on the dessert we ordered...just perfection. Overall, the service was fast and everyone was kind.“
