“I was trying to go to another spot to grab a bite but their kitchen was closed. That’s when I stumbled upon Station Tap. Small, quaint but a gem.I ordered two of my favorite items: nachos and garlic parm wings. With nachos it is all about the cheese and their homemade queso was creamy and tasty. The wings were loaded with Parmesan cheese and garlic. Portions were good that I had leftovers. Had the lemonade and it was good as well. I know, lemonade is lemonade but it was different from the norm and good enough for me to highlight.Service was great as well. My server gave me recommendations and food reviews for my selections. She checked to make sure I was enjoying it and the team worked as a unit to make sure my requests were tended to due to blind spots.Grateful I found this gem…I’ll be back“
“A must try hidden gem in the neighborhood. Unique Belgian beers and stouts. Must try the Hercule Stout if you have beef of any kind. Don't underestimate the vegan seitan sandwich. Packed with umami flavor and very satisfying. Wife had the Steak Frites salade and really enjoyed it. Dessert was the lime pie - very tart and very good.“
“Friends dinner out on a rainy Saturday. Our Mr first time to Noir since the Pandemic. It's even better than we remembered. Same comfortable, relaxed, neighborhoods atmosphere. Same warm and welcoming service. And the food is inspired. Particularly good: broccoli rabe with sausage and beans starter, arancini, gnocchi in mushroom gravy, short rib, and (amazing) spaghetti with crab sauce. Desserts were fresh and especially tasty. “If you get an opportunity, you must give Monahans a chance. My favorite cheesesteaks, even a chicken cheesesteak with fried onions, sweet peppers, and bacon, it will have you talking to it, lol. There are plenty of spirits to choose from, and the beer is always cold. Some vegetarian options. Delish apps and the app pretzel with their honey mustard is phenomenal. Safe, comfortable, clean, and great people. Non-smoking, but you can on their outdoor patio, which is heated during colder weather. TV's everywhere.“
“I recently worked as a photographer at this bar/restaurant space that was being used for a wedding. There is a small space in the back thats great for pictures and small parties. They also have a bar upstairs and ample parking across the street. The appetizers were delicious and creative. Its a nice venue to hold a small event or to have drinks/dinner.“
“McMenimin's is a terrific, very popular neighborhood bar/restaurant. It can be noisy, but if you sit in the back room, the noise is not too bad. We were there on a weeknight (Tuesday), and yet every table was filled by 7 o'clock. The food is better than one would expect for this kind of place. The fish and chips, chef's salad with portobello mushrooms and plant-based "cheeseburger" were all excellent. And portions were huge. The server was very pleasant. The reasons why this is 4 stars and not 5: No cocktail list at all and just a few not-so-great wines by the glass. And the entrees were served way before we were finished with the appetizers. They must have thought we had to catch a train. If you don't mind being rushed like crazy, then you might give McMenamin's 5 stars.“

“I was in Philly with my boss and a colleague for an industry event. They were asking for a place to go for a bite and a beer. I asked my daughter who is local for some recommendations and she recommended Good Dog Bar. There are many great restaurants in the center city area, but this one does a great job. At 6:30 on a Monday, the place was quite busy. We were able to get a booth. I didn't see any tables for large groups downstairs. Most of the bar area and tables were full when we started ordering. The beer selection is diverse and prices are reasonable. For my main dish, I had to try to vegan Philly Cheesesteak. You might say that this is quite blasphemous being in Philly and doing vegan. I'm not sure how they did it, but it was very tasty. They also have some awesome fries with it. As far as parking, find a lot or garage or it's better to use mass trans or bike.“

“Best little local pub just off Passyunk. We dropped our grandchildren off after having them over the weekend, and stopped here to grab a bite to eat and a cocktail before heading back to New Jersey. “We came here for dinner on a somewhat quiet Saturday evening. Luck was on our side as they had no problem getting us a table for four and we were sat quickly. Service was friendly and the menu was surprisingly deep. Overall, the food did not disappoint.We started with the French Onion soup - it is on point and if you like French Onion, I recommend it. I went with the meatloaf sandwich. It was good, but the BBQ sauce was a bit sweet for my liking. Still a creative and enjoyable sandwich. We also got a poke bowl, which was very fresh. I'd recommend getting the dressing on the side as that could overpower some of the aspects of the bowl, but no other modifications needed.I've heard this place can get busy and is a bit of a dive bar. Given its location, I am sure it can get busy so I would plan ahead if you want to eat. As for dive bar, not sure I'd call it that but if I did it would more bit a complement. I say give Berwyn Tavern a go if you are in the area.“

Small, but really nice, great cocktails (I had the marple tea, and my mom had a passion fruit gimlet), we had nachos and Mac and cheese apps, shrimp tacos and fall salad. I feel like there are many restaurants in Philly, and this one deserves more attention. We were day-tripping Philly and enjoy seeking out the local Irish pubs. We were charmed by the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere! It was noisy and small, in a fun and happy way. The TWO bars were well-stocked. We came with the family and everyone was pleased. We started with the Parmesan Truffle French Fries and they were exemplary especially paired with the Aeoli. The blackened Grouper sandwich was "sublime" according to my son who works at a restaurant! My daughter didn't prefer the crust thinness of the flatbread, but enjoyed the potatoe soup. The Irish fare was well done. My son ordered the shepard's pie and my husband and I both ordered the beef stew. I am picky of "Irish Food" bc so many places do not give it the attention it deserves, but everything was prepared beautifully. If you like very rich, decadent broths and hearty, meaty portions, then the stew is for you. The bread it was served with was unbelievably flavorful and had a tender center and crusty exterior. The stew tasted like it had slow-cooked for hours and did not dissapoint. I ordered the "Tullamore Gold" cocktail and it was a tad sweet, but flavorful. I wish I had paired a red wine or whisky with the stew. My husband had a canned apple cider which was tasty.“
“What a fantastic spot to watch the Eagles game. Food that we had (cheesesteak eggrolls, wings and tacos) were all fantastic. Probably the best service I've ever had in a bar. Every time one of our group of six drink was even close to empty, they were right on it. Can't wait to go back again for another game!“
“Ten Stone is my favorite neighborhood bar for watching the Sixers games. The bartenders and the people at the bar are very friendly and knowledgeable Sixers fans. Despite the Sixers game being on the bartenders keep the drinks flowing. My glass never sat empty for long. When it comes to food, I'm a sucker for anything with truffles, so I love the truffle popcorn. The cheesesteak eggrolls are also a great rendition of that dish. Crispy outside and plenty of meat and cheese inside. The chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun is also good. The chicken needs to be a bit juicier to take it over the top. The gumbo is also a good dish that will keep you warm in the winter and remind you of New Orleans. Unfortunately, the mac & cheese is terrible. As long as you avoid that dish you will have a good time at Ten Stone. If you come during a Sixers game you never know when you might see me at the bar.“
“A wonderful 5-star lunch experience ! Coming back from a mid-day center city concert, decided to stop in @ Tavern On the Hill rather than MacNally's...SO glad we did ! Bartender Mackenzie couldn't have been better : super-efficient AND super-personable ! I've had many excellent meals here before, lunch and dinners, today was no exception. Straying from our regular menu favorites ( tough to pass on the always great burger or turkey'n' brie sandwich),we both had the same "special"...a smoked kielbasa/ kraut sandwich. Not an item I'd usually rave over, it was just perfect...the best I've ever had. Great kielbasa, nicely toasted roll, homemade-tasting kraut...and even a high-quality tasty brown mustard. You just won't go wrong here... where else would somebody rave about a kielbasa sandwich ??? Can't wait to return for lunch OR dinner...“
