“Really great. I had the Chongqing spicy broth, wagyu, head on prawns, scallops, and lamb as my meats and went crazy in the self serve area. Great quality meats and vegetable selection. Broth was good, service was good. I had to wait for about 1 hour because you cannot make a reservation for a 2 top, but it was well worth it. I left completely satisfied for 40 dollars plus tax, no uncharged. Highly recommended.“

There was a little bit of a wait when I went for pick-up but it was because they were so busy.. the owner (?) was greeting regulars by their names, asking about spouse, kids, etc. Very welcoming. “Uniquely seasoned food served promptly and pleasantly. Outdoor seating is available in a private booth design that's very 'public' since it's on the sidewalk. The interior design is remincent of authentic Chinese culture with wooden dragons carved in the wall. You can sit at the bar or sit in the main dining area. The culinary delights are streamed, gluten free or lightly fried. The chilli sauce/oil is a nice surprise it's fragrant with a hint of perfume of anise, cardamom and clove, amongst other herbs,all smothered in oils and Sichuan pepper. I highly recommend this spot.“

The food came out insanely quick (almost a little too quick) and was exactly how I expected it. I would rank the Dan Dan locations in this order for both food and service: 1) Center City, 2) Ardmore, 3) Wayne. The beef and black bean sauce was not what hubby and I are used to when we go to Chinatown. Very few black beans, actually, mostly chopped veggies and some beef. The flavor was good, but they did not give us the white rice it was supposed to come with. The service was fast.“

Their sushi chefs (John & Yanni) are both amazingly talented and they have created custom sushi rolls for me according to my preferred fish and other ingredients. Presentation is awesome as is the freshness and tasty items they prepare. Linda and her Manager (Cindy) are so welcoming and very attentive to their guests...making everyone feel like a VIP!! I didn't realize that they were going to close this beautiful location, so it was very special that we went there for my son's birthday celebration!
