The other dishes were all good but my expectations were higher for a restaurant where you pay close to $150-200 per person.Courteous service and a beautiful dining room (too bad the view outside is a little depressing though).“

“The food was amazing! We ordered the Duck foie gras poutine, the pork chop, Duck in a Can and Pudding Chomeur for dessert. We couldn't be more impressed with the flavour and the quality of our meal. Our server was fantastic and was very thorough in taking us through the menu. We were sat at a deuce table in front of the service area which was very busy and chaotic. We felt several times that the servers or staff would fall into us but instead ended up bumping into each other to navigate the narrow aisle. There really wasn't enough room for the table and the staff in that area. But we were very glad to have had the experience at this wonderful restaurant and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.“

“So incredible. We opted for the Nolan’s choice experience where they choose the meals for you. It was a unique and inviting experience. They took extensive notes on what we liked and didn’t like and catered accordingly. It was a unique and fun experience of flavours. The highlight for me was the scallop, stunningly well cooked and seasoned. The bar service was the best! Thank you for a lovely evening.“

“We had a great night at Cadet. We particularly loved the snow crab, the duck breast, and the gnocchi. The salad lacked nuances but it was still very solid. The service was great, very friendly and definitely contributed to our great experience. The place is quite big but cozy and looks better in reality compared to the photos you can find on the internet.“

“First experience at Vin Papillon. First of all, the place is small, the tables are close to each other, that surprised me a little! The service, although immaculate, was however very quick at the start of the meal, perhaps a little too much. Afterwards, it adjusted, it was less rushed and more pleasant!However, the quality of the dishes was up to par. It's excellent. It's creative, delicious! The ham is a must, as is the dessert, carrot cake ice cream sandwich.Excellent choice of wine. All quite affordable! 7 shared dishes, 2 glasses of wine, dessert and coffee for $100.It's wonderfull ! “Came for the snow crab pasta which was posted on their Instagram a few days ago bit wasn't on the menu anymore when we arrived. Resorted to the lobster pasta, which was a bit boring as it's on every restaurant menu these days & I don't think anyone can touch Joe Beef's lobster pasta in town sadly. The space is a bit echo'ey - it was very loud and hard to hear when the restaurant was full. The table next to us also mouthed to us how loud it was. Service is AMAZING however. Will give it another shot when they post an interesting dish on their Instagram, fingers crossed it'll be there next time for us to make the trip down from Ottawa.“

“Went here last night with my wife, and 10 year old daughter. Great location, wonderful and friendly staff. We had raw oysters, lobster fettuccine, risotto, bone marrow, a couple drinks and dessert. Was great food, and experience. We would definitely return next time we are in town.“

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“

“I love this place. I’ve been several times and I’m only ever disappointed by their proclivity for natural wines. Otherwise it’s an easy can’t miss spot. The menu is constantly updated but there’s always a few staples that are worth a shot. I recommend the gnocchi and the oysters are always tops too.“

“We pulled up to park outside and saw a line for this place and decided to jump on in hopes the ice cream was good (that method works very well in Japan, so we thought it would in Canada too). Even though the line was long, the guy working the counter was providing quick and efficient service, so our wait did not last too long. My friend and I tried the chocolate, cardamom, and maple between the two of us. All of the flavors were delicious! We also really appreciated the workers proficiency in both French and English. “I visited this coffee shop four times during a week stay in old Montreal. The coffee (I got flat whites) was consistently very good. The service was always friendly. They serve oat milk as a default (though regular milk is also an option) at no extra charge. I very much appreciate their effort in helping us all shift towards more sustainable choices by making them both affordable and delicious. Good looking pastries too!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian savory scones and one of two sandwich options is vegetarian.“

“Possibly the best experience I've had in a café and God knows I've visited cafés in Montreal and around the world. Rachel and Alexandre were lovely and very attentive, they provide a customer experience that exceeds expectations. In addition, the menu offered is delicious and truly comprehensive for a café open at the end of the day, offering bistro-style French gastronomy. We all loved the soup of the day and the fresh bread offered on the side. A perfect place for snack or late night munchies. The desserts are to die for. Succulent is an understatement. “This place has a very welcoming atmosphere, the service was very good, polite and fast. The menu has very decent options for different palates so nobody can feel left out. My food was just mouth watering. Everyone I was with cleaned off their plates. The owner is a top class gentlemen. I think this restaurant is an absolute gem, perfect for date night or a get together with friends.
