“As a response to HeadInThe clouds...apparently you don't have much experience with fine dining. We have been going to the Oxford Tavern for years and the food, atmosphere, service and ambiance are unparalleled!! We have eaten the mousse often. If you can't appreciate this amazing restaurant and the hard work that goes into making it one of the best restaurants in this area, you probably should stop leaving reviews because they are very skewed!“

“I want to love this place because it seems like a great place, but I've had two disappointing sandwiches in a row. The quality seems pretty good, the value just isn't there and the proportions are way off. My Italian grinder was all bread and not great bread at that. This sandwich was almost $15 after the obligatory 20% tip. I'll probably give this place another shot, I'll stay away from the sandwiches though.“

“Amazing service!!! The owner is a delight he took my daughters behind the counter to make their own Bubble Tea. He also let them pick out a a bag of chips for free. Very interactive food was phenomenal. Bright spot in Barrington. I recommend this place to everyone. I will be coming back here even promised my daughters free chips every time we visit.“

“We arrived at 2 on a Friday for a late lunch. The counter staff was super friendly and helpful. We ordered and took a seat at one of the high top tables. The music was a bit distracting. An odd mix of disco and 80's hits with an occasional Mexican song. Just struck me as odd. Seemed a bit loud too, but that was probably just because they weren't many people in there at 2 o'clock. My wife got the yuca bowl with steak. She RAVED about it. I got the fried chicken burrito. I wasn't in love with the idea fries in a burrito, but gave it a shot. It was good, and sizable. I tend to order a house special if I see it on a menu (this was on of their special burritos), but I think next time I would go with one of their traditional burritos. It would've been nice and they had some hot sauces out. They probably had some had I asked, but it's a Mexican place. Why not have some out? Bottom line, I would return.“

“Recently visited the Black Pear. Went for coffee but decided to have breakfast also. We ordered at the counter and after a little while was served at our table. The employees all seemed so nice and treated us like we the only customers. Noticed they treated everyone the same way. Very professional. The restaurant was very nicely decorated. “I went there for my birthday. The chef wrote me a card which was so thoughtful. We got the white bean and focaccia bread. This was soooo tasty. For dinner, I had the crab cake and eggplant. My partner who is not a vegan enjoyed the food as well. The staff was so great as well. I would definitely recommend and return.“

“My whole family and I absolutely love Rasa. Hands-down the best Indian food in Rhode Island! The food, service, and overall experience is always exceptional. We eat here at least once a week. My favorite meal is the chicken tikka masala and I ask for medium hot spice, which gives just the right amount of kick without overpowering the wonderful seasonings and flavors of this dish. I add a nice garlic naan and I'm full for hours. If you have never been, I cannot recommend enough! “

“A few weeks ago, I went back to Asian Bakery to try their pad thai. Man, oh, man was it good! Peanuty with scallion and bean sprout yumminess. Chicken and tofu are standard, but I bet you could ask for it with various protein options. It was so good, I got a craving for it a week later, so... Yup. That pad thai is _very_very_good_. I'm going to go so far as to say that it is the ***best pad thai in Providence***!?! I've tried all the thai places that I know of, and this one comes out on top. I was speaking with another patron about food and pad thai in particular while we waited for our orders. She wasn't a fan of overly sweet pad thai, so I was on the lookout for that with my latest order. It is a bit sweet, but not sticky candy sweet. I might prefer it with a little more tamarind flavor and a little less sweetness, if I was being super picky. And a few sprigs of celantro and a slice of lime would make it nearly perfect for me. But rest assured, the Asian Bakery & Fast Food knows how to prepare pad thai!“

The rice with was under seasoned. Burger was described as burnt. No option to specify doneness. Everyone enjoyed their short ribs. Chili was really tasty. I'd go again.“

“I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating. I enjoyed mussels, scallops, little necks over pasta in scampi sauce. Others had the salmon as well as the bolognese. It's a very roomy, quiet setting near the water. Staff came out to sing happy birthday with a luscious ice cream dessert with a candle on top. I was pleasantly surprised. We will return to this place for sure!“

“Another wonderful meal at the Red Dory. While the ambiance can be good, ok or terrible due to the amount of noise in the space (concrete floors are tough) our most recent visit was very pleasant. We were seated in a booth by the window so out of the main flow of traffic. The food as always was fantastic - the swordfish had a delicious butter spread that made the dish extra special. The cod “stew” was quite good and the pork & beef meat balls were very tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.“
