“Our first visit to Jamestown and happened fortuitously upon Tallulahs. Food was delicious & fresh; the margaritas were also tasty, not syrupy or over sweetened. Atmosphere is casual and low-key. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a casual spot to hang. Definitely will return when we visit Jamestown again!“

“Ordered a steak and shrimp combo bowl tonight and added a side of street corn salad. My steak came out perfectly cooked and the shrimp was great. I had the house teriyaki sauce and it was a perfect blend of salty and sweet. The street corn salad was so good but I was so full from my main entree that I took it home for lunch the next day. The staff were helpful and friendly. One of the chefs brought out my meal and started a quick conversation. It was busy but my food came out quick and the dining room was warm and welcoming. Overall, I had a great experience at the Food Shack. I will definitely be back!“

“Cute little Mexican / American restaurant set in a classic New England style house. We had an early reservation and were sat upstairs, which is less lively according to my friend, but totally fine as we had an early dinner. Everyone kept mentioning the ribs, which I wouldn’t typically order at a Mexican spot, but they were delicious! We split them between the 3 of us, got a pitcher of margaritas, an order of queso and guace too! After this, I was so full I barely could eat my entree which, was sooooo delicious. Salmon and salad topped with a corn salsa - the menu has a better description but the portion was very generous. Friends also ordered a lobster quesadilla and enchiladas, which they enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this place!“

“Overall, the experience was okay. We enjoyed the duck empanadas the best. The white peach sangria was mostly oranges not peach which made it sour so I wouldn’t recommend. The burritos were alright as well, the pulled pork is pretty dry. The tres leches cake was overpriced for the size we got and it was mediocre. The service overall was great and it was a great vibe!“

“I just got home from this restaurant and must say the food (tacos de Birria) was outstanding! It took a bit of time to order and even more time to pay my check. These folks need servers, especially at the bar, who are fast and efficient! Hey guys it’s a Monday night! Just think about what you’re gonna do on a weekend night! “Love this place. Rare for me to say things like that. All the ingredients tasted fresh as if they were made in house. When you eat at a family restaurants there are little things in the details that would escape the casual corporate diner. The music, the decor, the staffing, the place oozes with authenticity. It feels like an authentic Mexican family restaurant. When you see the staff eating here you know its a good place. Honestly, nothing tasted like it "came from a jar or can" it tasted fresh and homemade...well, maybe the sourcream was from a jar (thank the Americanization for that spin). I had the vegetable burrito and my wife had the Spinach Quesadillas. She found hers a bit too cheese, good but too much cheese for her liking. I had a bite and thought it tasty and again freshly made. Some mayfind a strong cilantro taste in the seasoning but it shouldn't be a surprise, it's Mexican, cilantro is in everything. The service this night was friendly and super quick. It was like "I barely put my menu down" and our food arrived. Keep in mind this was a Monday night...probably the best night to avoid crowds and get quick service. It's a must try if you've never been. I hear there's one in Cranston too. “We could not have had a better experience than we did at Tito's yesterday. It was around 7pm on St. Patrick's day. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived-due to the Irish celebrations going on everywhere. We offered to take our order to go, since we saw that there was no reason they shouldn't close early.However, the bartender, Allison, was spectacular! She said she was "glad to have us there" and insisted that we relax and enjoy our dinner. She promptly brought out the chips and salsa. (We have always loved Tito's homemade salsa!) She then served a PERFECT spicy margarita. Our dinner (chicken tortilla soup and steak fajitas) was as good as always.What REALLY impressed us was how comfortable Allison made us feel. The three of us engaged in a nice conversation while there. We stop in at Tito's whenever we're in the area and will continue to do so.
