“Great way to spend some time before or after lunch. Was looking for a nearby place to do a wine tasting after grabbing lunch in the area. Thanks to our Yelp friends, we found this spot! After lunch we took a drive to a quiet unassuming winery in Johnston. Don't get me wrong, we were a bit skeptical driving down a sad lonely dirt road leading to the Verde BUT we were pleasantly surprised!! Keep in mind, we went at the beginning of the Spring season so it's not peak weather by any means! We parked and made our way to the wine tasting room - it's not as clearly marked but once you enter it'll be the door to the right. We were met by Jim, the owner. An elderly and whimsical man who is so proud of his craft! We ended up doing the full tasting at $12pp. Jim took his time going through every option they had to offer and was extremely open to all comments and questions. He showed us his method of smelling, swirling and tasting. We walked away with 3 bottles and a whole lot more knowledge than when we walked in. They do tastings Fri-Sun 11am-5pm. Great spot for a little wine tasting without the drive down south.”

“Excellent food here! Our staples include chana masala, butter chicken, samosas, aloo gobi. Medium is spicy so get mild if you’re concerned about that. Mango lassi solves any spiciness probs and is so good!”

“This place is out of this world, highly recommend. Super friendly and helpful, let us try all the sauces to decide what we liked most, with the best homemade sauces out there. The wings are crispy on the outside with a perfect juicyness on the inside. The outside of the wing was the best thing i’ve ever tasted, so fresh. Best wings in the world with the best quality chicken, best sauces, and best atmosphere. Both fries(normal and waffle) were also amazing just as crispy and fresh.”

“Nice place. Small bar but the place really isn't that big inside. I ordered a garden salad which was a decent size and fresh. No black lettuce to be found. Lots of cucs and olives. I also ordered a small cheese and meatball pizza which was done nice. The only thing I wish I ordered was a little extra sauce on pizza. Other than that, it was really enjoyable and would definitely return.”

“This is the best restaurant for families, food, service and atmosphere. The food is not skimpy at all. Prices are great. This has been my family favorite for years and years. “I had to pick up my truck at Hurd auto and they recommended pizza place down the road, man where they right! This place is unreal for such a small looks like nothing is there until you pull in… the gal there gave us great service !they loaded up the pizza (we got meat lovers with mushrooms)and it was really really good and the spinach roll that we got was packed … I would highly recommend you stop in and try them out. They’re really good only a couple booths to sit at, but they also have outside seating as well.”

“Great place. Great food. Only complaint, the price to value ratio sucks. Chicken parm dinner. Just chicken and pasta, 20 something bucks. It's all restaurants right now, I get it. Inflation blah blah blah. I hope that the prices come down or that the value ratio increases as quickly.”
