“I came here as a kid and returned as an adult and I’m glad to see that it remains the same as I remembered! Drinks were good as was the dinner!A big thanks to Tori who was a great server and navigated the food orders of our two toddlers like a pro. Hopefully it won’t be another 25 years til I’m back next!“
“This restaurant had our favorite fish and chips on the island. Perfectly cooked so the outside was crispy and the inside was hot (and cooked!) which isn’t always the case. The clam chowder (New England style, not Rhode Island style) was also very good (and hot)! Three days later my husband is still talking about how good the fish was!“
“I didn't get anything here myself, aside a water, but my sister and her fiancee enjoyed the food thoroughly. The lobster roll has a generous amount of lobster and the bratwurst was large. The Italian ice was apparently very creamy and delicious as well. The two flavors that day were strawberry and peach. However, it was really a dole whip and not an Italian ice.I didn't see any recent menus from this place so I have also attached that for anyone who might be curious.Lastly -- beautiful atmosphere near the lighthouse, service was quick, and the staff was friendly.“
“I hadn't been to Block Island in years and what a treat it was to go back to Ballard's again. The island is beautiful and Ballard's is immediately to the left when leaving the ferry. I don't typically like beaches but I certainly like beaches that have Tiki huts and waitresses and waiters bring you drinks and food. There was a great band playing in the afternoon and people were really getting into it. I am definitely going back and definitely going back to Ballard's“
“We have been given this dinner recommendation many times and due to the fact that we like to eat outside usually while in BI we never have tried it. Until tonight!It was a rainy windy night in Sept and we decided to try it….and we were blown away!The beef poutine appie and arugula and goat cheese salad were amazing! So fresh and flavorful. The scallops were so perfectly prepared I almost did not want to touch them! My husband had the chicken and it was like a small thanksgiving dinner in my mouth! Everything was seasoned perfectly and prepared without missing a beat!And the pineapple panna cotta was the most refreshing dessert to complete the meal!We will definitely return!! Thank you!!!“
“It’s a must stop when you’re at Block. A great outdoor bar with a fun drinks menu. It’s a tradition. Bartender wasn’t too enthusiastic this time but the drinks were great. And yes it’s a little pricey but you’re at Block ,get over it.“
“This is a great place for a local vibe!!! We stayed downstairs to enjoy the atmosphere!!! It was worth it!!! The tacos were absolutely amazing!!! The staff was friendly and helpful without being overbearing!! We are definitely going back on our next visit!!!“
“They have different rooms at different prices. I suggest you get a room with private bathroom.Not all inn's on have private bathrooms. The food is upscale and the dinning room is beautiful with views of the Atlantic.All rooms were very clean and air-conditioned.Nice short walk to the 1661 petting farm for kids and adults.5 star staff.Rooms: There is a beautiful bar area and directly across a petting zoo.Short 5 min walk to town and a verity of affordable breakfast places and dining.Nearby activities: Petting zoo. Island theater. ShoppingWalkability: 5 minutes to town and beaches.Food & drinks: Bar on site and many bars and restaurants 5 minutes away.“
“First time visiting the island and it's October so not a lot is open. Went in with no expectations and was blown away by the pulled pork pizza . Crust was perfect. Not greasy and perfect flavors. Best pizza I have had I. Years. A buddy got a different pizza at the same time and his was soggy and not great so depends on which one you get I guess“
“This became one of our favorite little spots almost immediately. Their service and hospitality, absolutely incredible. Their food? I will be dreaming about their brussel sprouts for the rest of my life. If you are looking for a cozy, quiet, laid back-yet somehow fancy little spot to have a bite to eat or a few drinks this is a must. Thank you to all of the staff members for such a great experience!“
