“What a perfect Mothers Day dinner! We had a great table in the window alcove and service was friendly and responsive. The meal was great. Bruschetta starters were small but tasty. The tagliatelle was delicious. My Italian mother had the branzino and said it was excellent. She loved the meal and is a very tough critic! The ricotta pistachio cake is a must-have for dessert! “My wife and I are vacationing for a quick two day stay in Newport. We came to Pour Judgement at the suggestion of someone who knew of the spot in Providence. We come from a small town and this reminds us of our local watering hole. The patrons are fun and the service is a absolutely stellar. We could not ask for more, this bar made the perfect stop before our nice dinner out on the town. Drinks are poured nicely and the bartenders are unparalleled in their craft.“

“We parked up at the top of the hill, so we were close to the Mansions. Needed a watering hole after trudging round a Mansion. This place was just opening when we walked by. The beer was nice and cold, priced reasonably compared to the rip off merchants down by the Harbor. Best thing about it was the Owners. They were really personable. So, we came back for a grilled chicken sandwich lunch before heading home. Pity we couldn't stay longer. Wish there were more places like this. Highly recommended.“

“This a a working man's bar. Or working woman. The people at the bar looked like they get shit done. I think the people that drink here are making life easier for someone. This is not a tourist bar, but do not let the rough look turn you away. This place has cold beer and solid wings. The bartender is a no joke kind of gal, slinging beer and serving food. What made this place great was it was a judgment free kind of joint. I would come back. Get the fries with the smoke house rub.“

The bartender Lorrie was friendly and fun like your friends cool mom. 80's songs on the play list. Have a beer and watch the local news. Good pub fare is available later in the evening than in some other places, and with some great beers on tap. A little loud, so if you are looking for a chill vibe, this might not be it, but if you want a little bit of party night life, give it a try.“

Despite being Mother's Day and busy, we were greeted by a friendly bartender who helped check us in. Service was prompt, friendly, attentive, and food portions were large. Everything came out on time, hot, and as expected. ONLY thing I'd say is to remind servers to be consistent. I overheard one server say that moms got a free Prosecco, our server didn't offer that. This isn't a criticism, purely observation nor was it an issue. Definitely pleased with our visit, and looking to coming again! My son also said “best restaurant nachos he has ever had”. I got the sampler with chicken, pork, and ribs. Dry rub wings were great too. Give it a try!“

I substituted the root vegetable hash for tater tots which were amazing but instead of the substitution being on the house it ended up costing an extra $3.00 for the tater tots substitution which I was not informed about a $3.00 extra charge for an entree vegetable substitution and that is reflected in the ⭐⭐⭐ in service for that miscommunication pertaining to vegetable substitution of a main entree.Basically I kept it Conservative being it was my 1st. Experience at Caleb and Broad I didn't feel compelled to have a drink or two so I opted out for Water (being I ALWAYS have a bottle of high end Champagne waiting for me at home) which was spring water that's what my taste buds detected. I drank 2-3 classes and the water was soo cold it didn't need Ice The entire time we dined. I was soo satisfied with the food that I didn't have dessert. The Atmosphere was casual my Nephew and I arrived between 6-7pm we dined for less than an hour being we didn't have drinks with the meals. So you can easily maneuver to a parking location to make access a less frustrating experience. Especially if arriving during the summer season . There is a paid parking lot adjacent to Caleb & Broad . It's only about 15 or less spaces. In the worst case SUMMER scenario situations you might not find easy parking access to Caleb & Broad being that they are located in downcity Newport. ✌?“

“Somerset Progressive Club is a fishing club with a banquet hall and a great little bar downstairs. I've been there invited by members and eaten for free on Friday nights or they bring in special chefs and make fish and chips for $5 a plate. The pool table is free the drinks are inexpensive $4 for a tall rum and coke. I've been to this establishment dozens of times and always had a good experience and lots of laughs.“

We passed the slip around, scribbled notes on scrap paper collected cards and cash and then the server was unable to figure it out. Our bill was over $300. Why, in this day and age, is this establishment unable to figure out how to give us separate checks is beyond me. We are a group of 10 ladies who formed 1 year ago and this is the first time we were told we could not get separate checks. It took 45 min for the manager to figure out our bill so we could pay. Clarke's Cooke House, you need to do better for your diners.Vegetarian options: The 2 vegetarian dishes were ordered were superb!“
