“This an uptick on the rating scale for fish camps around the Blacksburg and Gaffney, S.C. area. This one is way above average! People travel from Charlotte, N.C. to try this place! This is a hidden gem! They offer my favorite; fried clam strips! To the best of my knowledge it's the only fish camp that offers this treat within a twenty mile radius! This place is nicely decorated and offers a diverse menu! The staff a is friendly and knowledgeable and will gladly make recommendations to you!“
“I have been eating here for 8 years. The food is always good Shannon is the best cook! You can go to any other restaurant around and you won't find this quality of food for this price. You can eat at dannys 3 times for the price of 1 trip to carolina crossing and his food is way better!“
“4/17/24 Kathleen and Coral did a great job today. Coral is a talented cook. They are still training their new cook, so it caused a little pile up. She knocked out 10 orders like it was nothing. Kathleen was very nice. She did her best to smooth over the delay. Anyone can do well in ideal circumstances, but it takes skill to produce quality work when things are turbulent.4/15/24 You may be cautious going in because it is part of the gas station. It is much nicer than we thought. The hostess seated all the guests promptly. The restaurant was clean. Our food was tasty. The new cook Daniel, or Dan, made a wonderful stuffed French toast that looked just as advertised. Our waitress, Tashara, was sweet and attentive. All of the diners were looked after during our stay. I saw a lot of bad reviews, but our experience was enjoyable. We plan to keep stopping by since it's on our way to the gym. My guy is excited to try the French toast because my mother spoke highly of it. Good work, guys ?“
“I am a huge fan of locally owned hole in the wall places. That's why I refuse to give this anything less than 5 stars. But these weren't the best donuts I've ever had. Don't get me wrong, they were good! The chocolate frosted log with cream was a just a bit stale. And the sugar coated donut was delicious. My wife's cinnamon crumble was good too. The place feels a little dirty and run down but that's ok with me. All of this at a super affordable price and great customer service. When I am back in the area I will do again and try something else!“
“First time there yesterday. I ordered the mushroom, bacon, Swiss burgers with onion rings. I never eat everything I order unless it’s extremely good. The burger was AMAZING. The meat had a great taste & the onion rings were perfect. I’m very picky when it comes to burgers & they are the best I’ve found in this area❤️“

“Omg the sea food platter was delicious!!! Best hush puppies ever and the stuff crab was so fresh just full of flavor. Homemade tater sauce and coleslaw. The cook even brought another one out since the platter only came with one. So we both would have one. I'm telling you we enjoyed every bit of the platter. The atmosphere was so laid back and comfortable. Don't let this side of the road restaurant fool you it's been around along time and is a staple to the local community between Kings Mountain and Grover NC. “Owned by a manager where I work, I stopped in with a friend while in town. Disappointing they couldn't make an old fashion. Has two areas. One smoking, one non-smoking. Not many people so the non was closed early. Mixed age crowd. Be warned. Private club so a membership is required. $10. Worth it for a decent place to hang in town.“
“Mr Waffle rules!!! Great old school old school old school place to eat it was never a Waffle House it's always been Mr waffle. You can smoke here too which I find nostalgic to say the least cuz I'm old and I remember these places from when I was a kid in the 1960s. The food's great the service is great this is just a great place I urge everyone to stop here and eat and enjoy before it goes the way of the dinosaur.“
